Oh god..that was funny. I don't know though..I might react that way, I might not. But, I probably wouldn't if I was with a group of people or even just one other person because I wouldn't want to run off by myself. I'm...well, sensitive when it comes to feeling other beings so to speak. Probably sounds dumb or whatever, but it's there. It's not strong, it used to be when I was younger..but if I went to places that were haunted more often it'd probably pick back up.

We're all sensitive to the paranormal, it's all just how hard your mind tunes it out. I've very much a "see to believe" person, but there's a lot in that area that I've not seen, but still believe. I also seem to be surrounded with people with such strange connections to things, like one friend who's eyes actually start to turn red when she gets angry.

Those of you that want to go to haunted/spirit places, there's a place in my 'home' town of Oak Ridge called 'The Alexander' that has some very, very strange things that happen every time I've been there, but it's harder to get in there now that I don't have an excuse.

Keys, I just saw Annie Hall because of your review. I liked it a lot. heart

I'm glad! I was just in the middle of reading your post on the subject and thought it an odd coincidence, ringing back the late 70s. xd

It really, really disturbs me when "Would you use the Deathnote" topics come up in the AMC.
Like... I think some of those kids are serious, and it's just so disturbing to see them all listing off who'd they kill, especially like, celebrities who they don't even know.

I really wish the author would right a bonus manga of Death Note shorts - stories about what the average person would probably do with the Death Note in a pre-Kira world. They would be short stories because there wouldn't be much to them.

I think the obvious conclusion is that if you use the Death Note to get ahead in your personal career/relationship life, it's only a bandaid on a gaping wound at best. Your problems cannot be solved by the removal of some individuals alone. There will always be more.

Hohum. I hate writing thesis statements. I have always had troubles with them. And not writing an essay in over four years adds to that.

Our assignment is an expository essay that has something to do with the writers' strike. I am planning on doing it on the effects the strike has had on the show "The Office".

Oh where to start...

That's quite the topic for the first week of classes. What course is this?

The way I do it is jot down my points and see if I can summarize them under two or three headings. Those form the body 'paragraphs' and the anchors of my thesis statement.

Well..I suppose. Man, one place I really want to visit though is that one town in Pennsylvania that the Silent Hill games are based off of. I guess there's another one towards the west coast too, but I forgot where...Colorado maybe? But either way, it'd be interesting.

There's this one place in my hometown too, that's haunted. It's nothing too big..just some murders and stuff happened there, but damn. When there's no one else in that house and you're going around (I've done this with my mother when she was closing it down), it's just..eerie even if the sun is still out. I could feel all the eyes on me, and it was very uncomfortable. You'd think they'd recognize me over the years, but..I suppose being I don't visit often it'll be like that.

If that were to happen, it would definitely add a layer to Death Note but also take away from the original story. Light was a very complex individual. And by complex, I mean batshit crazy. He seriously had a superiority complex the like of which the world should never see. If the Death note was given to normal people, i doubt anyone would use it. Hell, I'd more than likely just use it to keep track of my spending and jot down grocery lists.

Chef Boyardee! Nooooo!

The nice thing about side stories that don't overlap the plot is that they can easily be ignored if they suck. I don't think they would change the original story at all. I was imagining more like fables.

There's a place in our downtown area that's haunted. Funny thing is... I used to go there and get creeped out when I went down into the basement to use their toilets. I always felt like someone was watching me and would often turn around quickly only to see I was the only one around. I hear they have Ghost Tours for $20 in the month of October.

Fairly sure I've had my cats visit me after they died as well. One of them even touched my leg because I kept ignoring the noises they were making behind me. I wanted to cry (and not out of sadness).

Ah. I thought you meant something that might run along with the original story. My mistake then.

And I wouldn't go after the Chef. Although Tony the Tiger would be on my list. domokun

It's a one-shot of this little boy that finds a Death Note. He writes the names of the 3 guys who are bullying him and they die. Ryuuk is also in it. It ends with a questionnaire in a magazine asking "If you had a Death Note, would you use it? Yes or No" and the kid (now a teenager) looks at Ryuuk and says "This survey is pretty interesting. Wouldn't you like to know the results?"
