Guh.
So tomorrow is my phone interview with Microsoft, and I've been freaking out about it all day pretty much. Then I get news that someone class of '04 from my high school (senior when i was a sophomore) committed suicide in her dorm room. I didn't know her that well/don't remember her very much, but it completely is just freaking me out psychologically because it's such awful news.

Cynder Ashram McDuck So, I just finished reading I Am Legend. The only things the movie shares with the written work are the title and the concept, and even then that's stretching. The movie didn't even get the concept right. (aside from the initial few scenes, after the setting is placed, the movie just presents a completely different story, no where close to what Richard Matheson wrote about) In short, don't waste your time with the movie. It was mediocre, at best, and merely a cookie-cutter "horror" flick that scared you by making things jump out and say, "BOO!" It reflects Matheson's work about as much as a piece of paper reflects a bullet. I kinda liked the movie, and I have yet to read the book. I probably will at some point, but thanks to the comic book movies and Harry Potter movies I've learned to watch movies as stand alone products as if they aren't based on anything. That's how I felt about it. I haven't read the book yet, but I did enjoy the movie. Granted, it was not Oscar material and there were a few plot holes, but overall I liked it. Besides, the dog was super cute. whee
