Vincent: If you don't mind that the arm isn't made of actual metal, you can get some nice results using construction paper, cardstock, or thin cardboard. You'll also need some rubber bands, metallic gold spray paint, glue, a single-hole paper punch, and tack-tangs (they're brass school/office supply items and they look sort of like a thumbtack except instead of a needle, it has two brass flaps...you push them through the holes in a stack of paper and then open up the flaps on the other side to hold the paper together like a staple would).
Shape the various parts of the gauntlet. Wherever there would normally be a rivet, punch a hole and use the tack-tang instead. It'll look like a rivet. heart For instance, for the arm (I believe it was in three or four armadillo-plate sections) you would cut some rounded-edged rectangles and layer them over each other. Add stability by glueing (or stapling) them to one solid piece of cardboard that would fit over your forearm. You can staple or stitch this arm-part to a tight-fitting black glove for easy on-and-off. On the sides of the rounded-off rectangles, punch two holes and add the tack-tangs, both for reinforcement and faking rivets. X3
For the fingers, just make half-cylinders to fit over your fingers and rivet them on each side of each joint, and make the tip of the finger out of a cone. Make little slings for your fingers on the underside of the first two segments of the claw-fingers by stapling bits of rubber band on the inside. Now you have a fully articulated set of claws~
Give it a good working over with the gold paint and voila. Vincent hand. It's more fragile than it should be, but at least it won't get you kicked out of a con by the con police for coming in with a dangerous weapon.

*takes notes and start preparing to make it*
Edit: I also already have a gun that looks like his first one. Its a woodent one that has clothes pins on top to shoot rubberbands!

Unknown Variable http://loopy.ytmnd.com/ You must all go there. And stare at it for an hour like I did. And you shall enjoy it. Because I commandith it. >:3 *ish proud because she located the pattern* xd Miriam The Bat There's gonna be a FFVII PSP-only game. Damn, that means I'll have to buy one. eek that means i have to get one, too! gonk i think they're going a little overboard with all these ffvii installments, though. just give me something like vii-2 and get it done with. ffx and x-2 were the only reasons i got a ps2 ninja *now has to catch up on all the ff talk* i played ff-vii a few times, too. lost all my saved games, but my best one's got all characters maxed out and every single item in the game, except for that materia that attracts enemies more (or enemy-away? i can't remember...). played the chocobo game like hundreds of times, but i couldn't get it gonk ffix is my least-favorite ff game, which is ironic because my screen name for my website is "garnet." confused i love the soundtrack, though. *ish currently listening to eternity~memories of light and waves* whee

I can never have enough FFVII. X3
I went nuts breeding chocobos. I love how once in a while Tifa or Cid will race instead of Cloud~ heart The only aspect of FFVII that I didn't master was the arcade at the Gold Saucer.
One thing that really bothers me is that I can't figure out a certain timeline question in FFIX. When you get to Burmecia, Freya mentions that it's been x number of years since she left. And yet the King (I think, or perhaps Puck) says that it's been fewer years. It's something like 5 or 3 years, and it drives me nuts. @_@ I don't know if it's a typo or there's some sort of explanation for the discrepancy.

i can't remember any of the details in ff-ix anymore gonk except that at some point in the game, i learned this fighting technique that i was able to use on any enemy, including the final boss (well, unless the enemy's immune to magic...i can't remember if there's anyone like that...) and i was able to finish the game quick and get it over with. i think i'll have to play it again or something so i can appreciate it more 3nodding
ff-vii is one of my favorite games, too. i really think defeating all ff-vii weapons is the hardest thing i ever had to do as a gamer (no "but so-and-so in (insert a non-ff game here) is much harder!" i don't play any other games except for ff, the chrono series, the kingdom hearts series, and the xeno series xd ). much harder than the omega weapon in ff-viii, although that was pretty bad too.
and the knights of the round materia rocks my socks off ninja
