Reaver428 Maximum the Zinc Reaver428 It occurred to me that not every one in sunagakure was entirely ok with how tanto was removed granted it was a relatively bloodless transfer of power.... Who wasn't okay with it? And if you name a genin then I'll just say that they don't matter. biggrin Well logically it would be almost statically impossible for every person in a given population to view an event from the exact same perspective meaning possible disagreements their. And yes a genin as well....Ryumon to be specific. He simply doesn't trust the new administration yet. He's not entirely sure how well he can serve a Kazekage that he doesn't trust, and weather he is wrong or right it is just how he feels....and like you said genin don't matter right? Well, it's like a new president, he is bound to be hated, but I hope you see that he is better suited for the job than Tanto! @Van - You know I'm kidding! Edit: Lol @ Announcement

Edit: Lol @ Announcement Well Ryumon would be the first to admit that the new Kazekage is a vast improvement over tanto in terms of temperment, tactics, and policy. but I'd have to say his biggest issue is this: The chunin exams are some of the most important gatherings between villages. It is where the village is represented and where the next generation of shinobi can be tested and examined. It is also where the strengths of one village can expose the weakness of another. He feels that changing over at such a critical time could send the wrong message to those who might be waiting to take advantage on the slightest unrest in one of the more powerful villages. Even if there is no such unrest it can still make the village in question a target and even if attackers, be they based in military or propaganda, should fail there may still be damage done that can hurt stability down the line. well that's how Ryumon feels anyway

Of course but that isn't something Ryumon woldn't know anything about that. These are just personal reasons for a player character with no knowledge outside of the events the he's experienced or heard about.

Your character is looking at it very two dimensionally. It doesn't matter how HE views it, but how the other villages view it.
A village like Sound might see this as an advantageous time to attack. A village like Leaf might see this instead as a strengthening of leadership.
While history has many indications of a change in leadership being a poor choice there are also a good deal of examples of a good change in leadership during wartime. (Particularly if the previous leader was unfit.)
A perfect example is the Neville Chamberlain/Winston Churchill switch in 1940. Kristallnacht had already occurred and the Nazi/Soviet pact was signed. War had been declared.
They know Chamberlain wouldn't be able to carry a war on his shoulders so they basically PUT Churchill in the prime minister seat. -Van

He is stubbourn about somethings and it's a personality flaw to be sure. Call it a failing of youth and inexperience.
