Violet woke up to the sound of screeching crows pecking at the turquioise berries that were her dinner the night before. The sun was only rising, and to see not a sound or action from the tree next to hers, the Griffen realized her friend had not woken up yet. "I told her that it was only for last night. So I can leave without telling her, and I won't feel guilty." she murmured to herself. Swiftly grabbing a handful of the berries, she set off, her wings only a blur. As the large creature overlooked the thick forest, she popped berries into her mouth happily.
After a while, Violet became rather bored. She was still hungry, though she had not another berry. Searching below for food, she noticed the trees were becoming less thick. There was a river near wooden cottages, and glimmering fish shone in the dim sunshine. Swooping down gracefully, the Griffen landed near the large river. Washing her face and slurping, her smile was still on her face.
Dawn's crisp air was soon taken over by the afternoon's humid one. Wishing for a companion of her own kind, she retired to a particularly odd palm tree, enjoying its great shade. She was asleep again in less than ten minutes.

Mau suddenly realized the sun was rising. "I know that... Look. The sun's rising!" he pointed to the window and sure enough, the sun was peeking out from behind the far away mountains. "Let's get breakfast ready."
Fujiro nodded. "Go fishing, kay? Oh, and if you need bait-"
"I don't need bait." Mau said defensively.
"Geez... Calm down... Don't need get all defensive..."
"I'm not being defensive!" screeched Mau. He looked meanly at Fujiro and left.
Fujiro waited until she heard the front door creak open, then shut. "What's his problem?" she muttered. Shrugging, she left Yuki's old bed and headed down the hallway, through the living room, to the kitchen. The Fluffy pulled out a dirty tray. She scrubbed at it with a sponge, wondering why Mau wasn't being particularly nice.
Mau carelessly bit at the glimmering fishes easily, tossing them next to him and adding to the large pile. "Me... Defensive... What's her problem? She can't understand I have just lost a daughter? I mean, she acts liek she understands, but, she doesn't. She's never lost a daughter, has she?" When he had a great amount of fish dead next to him, he brought it into the house and piled them on the table. "28."
"Hm?" Fujiro asked, wiping the tray dry.
"I got 28 fish."
"Oh, uh, good. We'll be full this morning."
"Yeah."
Fujiro grabbed the fishes and dumped the onto the tray. When the tray held all the fishes that were caught, she put the tray in the old oven and let it cook. "Why were you so angry at me this mornign?"
"I don't know what your're talking about."
"Whatever." Fujiro said, washing and drying dishes that had stacked up on the counter. "Why don't you go write a responding letter to Yuki?"
"Sure." He left the kitchen and headed toward the desk in the living room. When he was there, he pulled out a particularly old piece of parchmant and a pen that could barely write. Even so, he wrote:
Dear Yuki, Honey! Your aunt shared your letter with me. We all miss you a lot, but we all realize it was for the best. We all love you! And if you need any help, you can come by! You know where we live! Also, I wouldn't say no to visits! We are having a fabulous breakfast this morning, you must smell it from where you are at the moment! Well, I have to go help your aunt now. Please always remember that I love you! Hugs and kisses, Your father, aunt, uncle, mother, and brother
Just after Mau folded up the letter, a crow swooped in through an open window, grabbed the letter and flew off. He shouted off to the bird, "Thank you!" Then he went back to the kitchen and told his sister, "Done."
"Good boy! And the fishes are done as well!" Fujiro pulled out the tray of cooked fish and put it on the counter for it to cool. "No touching until it's cool enough to eat. No sniping, either. That's not fair. I'm going to go make my bed. You should do the same. Clean it up, too."
As Fujiro turned around, Mau stuck his tounge out at her, but followed. He left to his room to his sleeping wife and drooling son. Cleaning up and thinking of his daughter, he hummed a tune he had sang to Yuki.

"My name is Woo, little one. And this is Izraili. We are cats such just like yourself. But why is one like you out at night like this?" An almost motherly instinct came into play.
She looked over at her golden companion, then hopped down to the ground. "Would you like to join us?"

Ranea made her way hesitantly over to Woo, finding where the voice is, "I don't know, I just all the sudden was here, I used to be on a branch. Besides, nighttime is interesting." She nodded to the joining comment. "I'll come."

"You just were? Do remember anything at all from being on the branch?" Woo realized that she had started to question the younger cat before they had even gotten back up to the tree. Digging her claws in and climbing back up, she looked down at the blue and white cat. "Can you climb up here with us?"

The golden cat watched the younger one and it didn't take long for him to fly down and land next to her. "Do you need help getting up there? If you dont its ok otherwise you can climb onto my back!" He smiled at the youngster she was young after all.

Lucifer during the whole thing just watched silently. He shook his head. It was still new to him to see how family reacted around each other. How brothers and sisters acted as well. He knew he didn't fully understand mau's pain but he could only guess. He walked outside and leaned against a wall of the house letting his eyes roam . Closing his eyes he just smiled. it was such a nice day too and the fish smelt wonderful. He left his body relax for a bit before standing straight and heading back in to eat breakfast with everyone.

"Just watching as day turned to night, nothing more past that." Ranea walked over to the tree and put her paw on, gripping with her claws, she scrambled up the tree, now quite breathless, "I'm fine." SHe said in a pant.

He smiled as he flew upto the branch making sure the little cat was on the branch ok. He then turned to Woo before flying up to the branch above them where he curled up looking down on them.

"Goodness," Woo chuckled lightly, "Barely a day back home and already a little gathering is going on. So Ranea, are you hungry or have you eaten?"
She turned towards her golden companion, feeling quite warm under his gaze, though a gentle breeze made its way through the branches. It had been a long time since she had truly been around others of her kinds. Oh she knew that others where Naree lived had cats, but none who spoke to her. "It feels nice to be home again."

Ranea thought, she remembered a human, whose name was Darcy, she believed. The girl was kind and took care of her on the branch, but then put her in the forest, she caguely remembered the girl saying, "Meet your own kind, but come back if you need to." Interesting.
"No, not all that hungry, a little tired." It had been the first time she climbed a tree and hadn't gotten used to her jumping skills yet. She sat on the branch.

"I believe we should all get some rest...the night is still young. Perhaps, I wonder if we should huddle together for warmth? The night is a bit chilled from the breeze." Woo moved in a little closer to Ranea, though her eyes danced at Izraili. She spread her black, tattered wings out and wrapped them over the little blue and white cat.

Izraili watched from his branch he was very happy curled up there though he was getting the feeling that he would get a telling off or something if he din't join them both. Slowly he made his way onto the branch where h curled up around them both his wings stayed where they were as they would only get in the way.

Ranea was glad for the warmth but she looked back at her own small wings, "Will mine be like yours one day?" She asked, she'd like stonger wings, then she'd be able to move easier. The kitten put her head in her paws as she daydreamt.

A brown Fluffy sat nearby watching Ranea, Woo and Izraili. That must be nice She thought to herself as she watched them all longingly wanting someone as a friedn, someone to have warmth herself from. She wrapped her own wings around herself for a little more warmth and sat watching.
