"Zyphyr! Aerial Ace!" Mitsu commanded. Flying low then soaring to the skies Zyphyr pulled off his signature move. It had always been Mitsu's favorite attack that Zyphyr knew. The attack stuck sending the green Pokemon tumbling though the air. "Skiploom!" the opponent called out. "Quickly now! Leech Seed!" Four seeds srang forth from the flower above it's head. once the seeds touched they wrapped themselves around Zyphyr's wings. The sharp thorns clearly bothersome, if not painful.
"Hit him with another Aerial Ace!" Mitsu called out, but a bit too late. He had already had begun a Quick Attack, chraging straight ahead into the Skiploom. "Zyphyr!" Mitsu called out remembering to keep her voice firm not angry. She hadn't had this problem in a while and she wondered why it was happening now. Taking a deep breath Mitsu focused on the battle. Before he had even made contact the vines from the previous Leech Seed tightened it's hold, causing him to falter. "Now's your chance Skiploom, use Bullet Seed!" Taking the oppotunity by the hand, Skiploom fired a stream of seeds each hitting it's mark. One by one the seeds made contact, slowly, but steadily chipping away Zyphyr's stamina. With each hit he fell lower and lower to the ground until he remained there continusly being battered with the seeds. Mitsu could tell he was clearly annoyed at the seemingly endless amount of seeds. "Zyphyr, use your Sand Attack! The throw in a Whirlwind!" Mitsu instructed having finally devised a counter attack to Bullet Seed. She only hoped that the vines from the the Skiploom's Leech Seed hadn't toally prevented the flying Pokemon from flight.
Quickly kicking up some dirt, Zyphyr flapped his wings, clearly using more energy then he should be, and pushed the dirt to the skies. The connected with the seeds, wiping out a hand ful of them. That, however, didn't stop the others from coming. Then he himself took flight creating a cyclone of wind that caught the rest of the seeds as well as a bit of dit from the Sand Attack. The seeds fell harmlessly to the ground shortly after the winds died down. The girl across from Mitsu gritted her teeth, the battle had been going her way for too long, it couldn't flip now. "Skiploom! Finish it off! Use your Solar Beam!" The Pokemon began to charge, sunlight collecting in the flower above it's head. "Zyphyr! Now Aerial Ace!" Mitsu called out seeing an opening. Far faster than the charging process, Zyphyr landed an incredible blow scoring himself a critical hit.
The Skiploom finished gathering sunlight even after being struck. The attack only proved to be a little delay. The Skiploom turned around aiming the Solar Beam at Zyphyr's back. If the attack stuck he'd surely be knocked out with all the stamina the Leech Seed had already sappaed away. Within the blink of an eye the green beam of light energy was released flying at an amazing speed towards Zyphyr.

After what felt like an eternity, Nina finally arrived back in Saffron City. My second time here today, she thought to herself. Recalling Krystal into her Pokeball, the trainer briskly made her way to Michael's and Jessica's home. When she arrived, she stood on the steps outside of the house, and knocked on the door with the back of her hand. Listening for a few seconds, Nina could faintly hear a woman on the television talking. A few moments later, she heard footsteps nearing the door.
Jessica opened the door, taking a step back as she did so. She smiled broadly when she saw Nina standing outside, and promptly gave her a great big hug.
"Nina!" Jessica said, radiating with happiness, "it's so good to see you again, honey! How have you been?"
Nina smiled, and was released from her mother's hug. "I've been well, for the most part," she replied. "But, I've got some news to tell you, and it's of extreme importance. Is Dad home too?"
Jessica's smile faded slightly at the mention of the news. "Yes, your father's in the living room," she replied. "Please, honey. Come in."
Nina nodded, and followed her mother inside, closing the door behind her. She exchanged greetings with Michael, who was watching a show on the history of Fossil Pokemon; However, he turned the television off a moment later. Nina sat down in a small blue chair that was next to the couch, on which Jessica and Michael were seated.
"Mom, Dad," Nina began, "I came here because I need to warn you about something. You see, I recently had a dream..."
Nina spent the next ten or fifteen minutes explaining the situation regarding Maorde Menskr to her parents. When she had finished, she added, "I think it would be wise for the both of you to temporarily relocate. I want to prevent the outcome of my dream from happening to you two."
Michael nodded. "You needn't worry, Nina," he said. "We can stay with your grandparents for the time being; they live over on Four Island. They run a small Pokemon Day-Care, and I'm sure that they would allow us to stay."
Nina acknowledged this. "All right," she said. "I want you both to leave as soon as it's possible. I don't want to see anyone get hurt, least of all you two." She spoke with her parents for a short time more, before heading off to the Saffron Gym.

Kilik entered the tunnel, gripping the handlebars very tightly. He peddled up a slope, then reached a rocky staircase. The boy hopped off his bike and began to walk up the few steps to the next level. The Rusturf Tunnel was very foggy and the Whismur that inhabitated the tunnel were always seen running to and fro, trying to clear the fog. It never worked, but Kilik always thought it was interesting to watch. When he reached the next level, he got himself back onto the bike and began to go to the right. There were shattered remains of rocks along the path; as if someone had broken them to get passed. He shrugged and pushed onward.
There was another rocky staircase which he decided to ride down instead. It was a very bumpy ride. The boy gripped the handles for dear life, his knuckles turning white. The fog blurred his vision, but the misty clouds felt good upon his face. Being droplets of water vapor, it cooled him down. The bumpy ride cam to an end when he reached the bottom slope and slid down it and out of the cave. He brushed his hair out of his face and smiled in the warm Verdanturf sunlight. "Hmm..." he said to himself, "Wonderful."
Kilik took a deep breath. It was unlike anything he had ever inhaled. The air here was so much cleaner and fresher than any other town he had visited. The scent of fresh cut grass filled his nostrils. "Seems like they got out and trimmed," he said to nobody in particular. He pulled the round PokeNav out of his pocket and looked at it. Verdanturf Town Once again, he was home.

Soon, a quaint little spread was beside the pond; there was a granola bar for M.A. herself, as well as newly-made Pokemon food in a neat pile, beside some Mago Berries that was found nearby. "Daemyn! Ulani! Do you guys want a little snack?" she called out, grinning; the last part really wasn't a real question, as she knew they were pretty hungry and her cooking was always a hit, whether it be for Pokemon or people.
They /were/ hungry, and attacked the food truculently; it'd been a long time since brunch with the Winstrates for M.A. and Daemyn, and the two Pokemon were starving from all the walking around and battling. And so, they enjoyed there meal on the route, filling up with food, pleasure, and sweet companionship. All the food was gone soon enough, except for the last berry Ulani dangled in front of Daemyn; when the Houndour snapped at it, she floated up and away, flaunting the berry in every way possible and cheekily chirping. Another chase ensued, and the berry was dropped and long forgotten by the end of it. M.A. couldn't help but hold her sides and laugh at the antics the two could pull off. In the end, Ulani led Daemyn straight into the pond, having flown over the water with the Houndour chasing after, not taking note of his surroundings 'till too late.
"Cool off, Daemyn!" M.A. had giggled, calling him in with the same small towel as before. He looked up, glaring a war-declaration at Ulani, who cheerfully trilled and floated over to sit on his head, cooing. This time, though, Daemyn relented, giving a long sigh and sitting down on the grass -- maybe he didn't mind so much, or maybe he'd just given up. Ulani was persistent in her affection and games, after all. Y'know, I think they're warming up to each other, M.A. thought, grinning wide.

Opening the locked door to the Gym, Nina stepped inside and shut the doors behind her. She put her hands on her hips after brushing a strand of hair out of her face, and looked around; the room was large, and very much bare. However, there was a keypad on the wall directly next to the PC, in the top-left of the room. Inputting certain codes on the pad would cause different effects; for example, it could deploy the Gym's traps, or open a secret passage to the room that Sabrina had devised her Five Island tactics in.
"Let's see," Nina said quietly to herself, walking over to the keypad, "what was it..." The girl thought for a moment, then pressed four buttons, followed by the ENTER button. A ding! noise was produced, and the center of the Gym folded back in opposite directions. Slowly, a second floor rose up in the center of the Gym; with the floor came at least fourteen or fifteen white Teleportation Panels, and they were deployed on the floor. Walls seemed to manifest themselves, thus creating small areas, and the Gym's traps had been set.
"Sabrina had it so that her challengers had to step on the panels in a certain order and reach her in a certain place," Nina said. But I think I'll make it a little bit more challenging for the trainers that come to see me." She input another code into the keypad, and smiled a little bit.
"Now, I wait."

The DayCare Man stepped out again, joining them for a short time. "I can't quite remember if I thanked you for delivering the medicine," he chuckled, adding, "It must be old age.
"I called Nurse Joy to tell her everything was fine, and she said to thank you as well. But she also told me that you left your PokeNav behind. ."
"I did?!" M.A. gasped, grabbing her backpack and fishing through it. "Oh, so I did. . ." She laughed sheepily, scratching the back of her head. How do I forget things like this? she half-moaned, half-laughed inwardly; it had always been easy for the girl to laugh at her mistakes, after all, but this was such a hassle too! Daemyn shook his head slowly, as if saying he knew something like this would happen, and that M.A. did it all the time -- which was true, really, as her forgetfullness was the same back home in Fallarbor.
"Well, I guess I'll have to go back, then!" the girl smiled, not dwelling on the trouble of the matter for long. There wasn't much to do but go back, after all. There's still plenty of time in the day, M.A. thought to herself, staring up at the blue sky and clouds above -- no, that was Ulani in front of her face, but the sky and clouds really were the same color as she, which meant a peachy afternoon.
A shadowy Pokemon flew over across them; squintiing, Mary-Anne could make out a dinosaur-like critter with great palm leaves for wings. "What's that?" she wondered aloud in wonderment.
"Oh, it's another one of those Tropius flying by. Lately, we've been seeing a few of them migrate away from their typical area, around the Weather Institute. I've heard from passer-bys that something in W.I.'s been glitchy for a while, and the weather's been disrupted as a result. The Tropius' main food, fruit and berries, have been scarce from first too much rain, then no moisture at all; so, they've left the area for the time being."
Mary-Anne continued to watch it as it majestically flew out of view. "If you plan on catching one of those or another larger Pokemon, I suggest getting a Great Ball; they may get a bit too heavy for your ordinary PokeBall," the DayCare Man advised.

"You know, you don't need to say such mean things to people about their pokemon. If they like them then why should you care?" Came a voice that cut through the crowd once again stopping the blind girl. All though they could hear the voice nobody could see where it was coming from. The small group of Bug Catchers became a little nervous and murmured between themselves. Occasionally one or two would glance at Toph who was standing around twenty feet away from them. Storm and Queeny were looking around also at Toph's feet, Edge's gaze was locked on one spot seemingly above them, Toph her self just kept staring straight ahead. Not giving a response for once the voice continued. "You know your one rude little girl. Only bullies pick on other peoples pokemon."
"And only cowards hide in tree's. So why don’t you get down or are you to scared to face me." Toph shot back tauntingly. Storm and Queeny upon hearing their trainers comment looked up, Edge being the competent bodyguard that he was had all ready located the hidden person.
There was a surprised silence as all the trainers around started looking up in the trees. Suddenly chuckling could be heard from above, "You are right there. Very well I shall come down and teach you a lesson!" That being said an older boy, he had to be around 18 or 19 jumped down from the trees. He had dark features and could be described as nothing short of handsome, any girl who laid an eye on him was sure to fall in love. That is any girl except Toph. “My name is Jake and it's time for you to learn to respect other people’s pokemon."
A grin spread across Toph's face and she pointed a finger at him. "So you are going to try to teach me a lesson huh? HAH! Well I don’t think that’s going to happen."
Jake just grinned. "We shall see. A three on three battle last one with a pokemon standing wins." Taking out a pokeball and tossing it out. "Lets go Mankey!" He said with a grin as the monkey like pokemon burst out of its pokeball.
"Queeny your up." Toph said her arms cross over her chest as her sightless eyes stared across the arena. Her feet however were picking up the vibrations of everything feeling the pokemon across from her. Queeny upon hearing that she could go into another battle jumped out eagerly her teeth bared. Taking out her pokedex she let it scan the ape across from her and inform her as to what she was facing.

Meditite's smile was echoed on its trainer's face. Vicky simply nodded, knowing that her Pokemon knew what to do.
Casimir unleashed the Razor Wind at full force, and his aim had been perfect. It tore across the ground, ripping up chunks of earth and debris as it passed along. Meditite closed its eyes and focused, a silvery sheen appeared in front of it, the Razor Wind crashing into it. The silvery protection disappeared, leaving Meditite unharmed.
"Detect," Vicky said, in response to Kasiya's unsaid question. "Very useful if you know where and when to use it. Now, Meditite! Hi Jump Kick!"
"No! Casimir, dodge!" Kasiya cried, knowing that the attack would be devastating if it hit. Casimir jumped into a Quick Attack, using the extra speed to get out of the way. Meditite's oncoming foot smashed into the ground, sending dust and grit flying in all directions. Kasiya was noticeably a few shades paler, having realized her mistake of sending out a Dark-type against a Fighting-type.

Meditite picked itself up, looking shaken from its crash-landing. Kasiya, nearly trembling herself, knew that because the kick attack had missed, Meditite had done a lot of damage to itself. Now if she could only get a few more attacks in, then perhaps she could eke out a win.
"Casimir! Aerial Ace!" the girl said firmly. The Absol turned to look at her, but decided against ignoring her orders. Besides, it would be a perfect opportunity to test out this new move. Casimir ran towards Meditite, slashing the air with his curved horn. A blade of wind materialized and sped towards Meditite, who couldn't react fast enough to use Detect. It cried out in pain from the stunning blow, toppling over backwards and didn't get up again.
"Well I'll be..." Vicky Winstrate said simply, putting her hands on her hips. "I didn't think you knew what you were doing for a moment there. But I do suspect a bit of luck worked in your favor that time."
"I-I...didn't mean to..." Kasiya said quietly, looking at the ground. Casimir had sat down, not moving from the spot he'd delivered the Aerial Ace from.
"Nonsense. It was a simple mistake. You didn't really know what types Meditite may have been, so you made a choice. I will admit, however, that I was a bit reckless when using Hi Jump Kick that time. But it goes to prove that even experienced trainers, such as myself, can make honest mistakes." Vicky made her way over and placed a hand on Kasiya's shoulder. "You did very well, and I will honor my promise. Mind you, I would have helped you pass even if you'd lost the match." The elderly woman removed a large, crystal-shaped item from her pocket, and carried it over to Meditite. Kasiya had only seen a few of those in her time - it was a Max Revive. Very shortly, Meditite was up and able again, and not showing any hard feelings after the battle.

Casimir looked disdainfully at the Meditite, knowing full well that he wasn't responsible for that victory in the slightest. He looked up at Kasiya, and tilted his head. Maybe the girl wasn't such a bad trainer after all. The white Absol picked himself up and made his way over to Kasiya, and sat down beside her. Startled, she looked down at him, surprised at his actions. The Absol, however, returned her glance with a look of his own, one that clearly said 'none of that mushy, feely crap, got it?'
"I would also assume, that you two haven't known each other long, am I correct?" Vicky asked, looking at the rocks that blocked the route.
"That's right, we only just met yesterday," Kasiya replied, remembering the damage Casimir had done, and suddenly wondering why she'd captured such a violent Pokemon to begin with.
"I thought so. You two aren't going to get very far on the rest of your badge challenge if you stumble through every battle like that last one." She nodded, and Meditite jumped forward, smashing its fists into a particularly large boulder, shattering it to bits.
Both Kasiya and Casimir looked impressed as small chunks of rock landed at their feet. "I know," the young trainer said, peering through the dust at the now accessible route before them. "He - I mean, we both have a lot to learn."
"And I'm glad that you are aware of that fact. You'd be amazed by all the hot-tempered young trainers who pass by here, thinking they're all that and a bag of potato chips." She brushed some of the debris from her uniform. "Shall we get going?"
For a moment, Kasiya considered staying behind to see if it was true that some mischievous Rock-type Pokemon (she imagined a Graveler, throwing rocks with an impish grin on its rocky face) would block the path again. But she and Casimir followed, and soon the small group arrived at a cozy-looking house.

"This is my home," Vicky nodded, pointing to the house. "It's a little ways out of the city, but at least it's peaceful out here. My family, that is my grandchildren, my son and daughter-in-law have all gone into town to do some shopping, so I'm afraid I have nothing to offer."
"That's alright," Kasiya said, starting to feel better about the battle. That, and it was hard not to smile around Vicky. Kasiya couldn't help but envy those grandchildren of hers. She'd never known any of her grandparents.
"Ooh, I just thought of something. Wait right here," she told Kasiya, before disappearing into the house. Meditite remained behind, looking up at Kasiya and Casimir happily. Kasiya returned its happy gaze, liking the rather odd little Pokemon, and realized she'd seen one before. Keegan had battled against one on Dewford Island, when he fought against Brawly for the Knuckle Badge.
"I knew you looked sort of familiar," Kasiya laughed, reaching out to pat the little Pokemon, who looked eager to lap up some attention.
"Meditite is a Fighting and Psychic-type Pokemon," Vicky said, coming out of the house once more. "Probably why you had a hard time picking out his type."
"Yeah, I see that now," Kasiya nodded, standing up to her full height. "I think I have a new appreciation for Fighting-type Pokemon," she admitted.
"They're usually a little rough around the edges, but they're determined, that's for sure. Now, come here, child, and you too, Casimir. I have gifts for both of you." Trainer and Pokemon stepped forward, both looking a little unsure. The kind woman held up a brown, circular disc. "I know you said you probably wouldn't have access to it back in Kanto, so I'm doing you a favor. This is HM06, Rock Smash. I know full well that Casimir can learn it, so I'm giving you this opportunity."
"What do you say, Casimir?" Kasiya asked, looking at the Absol. "It's up to you." He nodded, after thinking it through for a moment or two. "Great, he's up for it!"
"I somehow knew he'd agree to it," Vicky laughed, leaning forward and pressing the disc to his forehead. The Dark Pokemon absorbed the knowledge of how to shatter both rocks and opponents alike with a single strike, but there was something that felt odd. It was as if the new attack had a lock of sorts on it, and he didn't know how to open it. Vicky, sensing the Absol's confusion, went on to explain. "I don't know if any badges in Kanto would allow you to use it outside of battle, but, if you're up to it, you can challenge Wattson in Mauville City. His Dynamo Badge is the only thing that will undo that lock on the technique."

"Did you say 'Wattson'?" Kasiya asked, blinking.
"Yes, why, did I stutter?"
"No, I just...I know him! He uses electric type Pokemon in his gym, like my dad does! He came to Vermilion a few times, and my dad's come here before, too. I haven't seen him in quite a while, so I think I'll definitely drop by to say hello."
Kasiya looked genuinely excited, which made Vicky laugh. "Well then, that's good. Don't get too caught up in idle chitchat. You'll want that Dynamo Badge, eh?"
"Oh, I won't forget! How could I?" Kasiya flung her arms around Vicky, hugging her tightly. "Thank you for everything!"
"It's my pleasure, dear. You take care now, and don't forget to visit me, if you're ever back in Mauville."
"Of course I will! Maybe then we can have a rematch."
Vicky agreed, and after they'd exchanged numbers, Kasiya recalled Casimir into his Ultra Ball and jumped on her bike, pedaling quickly towards Mauville, a temporary goal in sight.

((Better a crappy post than being absent for several days. >_> )) "I'm going to pick up HM01, Cut, for certain, but I'm not sure..." Miharu trailed off, before her finger rested on a shimmering, pink disc in a clear case. The label said 'TM33 - Reflect'. "This could be good for a defensive boost," she mused, picking it up. She imagined Tingle creating a wall in front of him, several attacks made by invisible opponents bouncing off of it harmlessly. She looked at the price tag, and bit her lip. "This will all but bankrupt me," she sighed, before turning to look at Rin. "This one will be for Tingle," she said, holding up the TM. "And, if you want, you can borrow Cut. That way, you don't have to buy one too." Not waiting for her new friend to answer, she pushed her way to the front counter and waited for service. She paid without incident, not even bothering to get a bag for her purchases, and looked at her remaining money in dismay. "Looks like we'll be eating Pokemon Center food for a while," she sighed.

Moments later, Kasiya pulled into Mauville City, amazed to find that it wasn't as large as she once thought. There were many buildings, most notably the Pokemon Center, various shopping marts and a building decorated with flashing lights and signs. "They have a game corner here?" she said aloud, continuing along. She stopped in front of the Pokemon Center, folding her bike and carrying it inside.
"Good morning, how may I help you?" came the familiar cheerful voice of the Pokemon Center nurse.
"My Pokemon just need a quick refreshing, nothing too serious this time," Kasiya smiled, quickly handing over her team.
"That's great, it should only take a second," the nurse said, Kasiya catching a hint of relief in her tone.
"You sound like you're in a good mood," Kasiya observed, watching the nurse working with the healing machine.
"Why, yes, yes I am," she said cheerily, turning to face the young trainer. "Thanks to the noble deeds of another young trainer, I've been able to relax a bit."
"Oh?" Kasiya asked, intrigued.
"Well, earlier a young girl, probably a year or so younger than you, came in, and I asked her if she'd deliver some medicine to the Daycare down the road. I got a call a little while ago saying she arrived right on time."
"That was very nice of her," Kasiya nodded, scratching her chin. "The world needs more nice people like that in it."
"Indeed," the nurse nodded, as the machine gave its trademark tone, signaling the healing process was completed. "Speaking of which, in her hurry to deliver the medicine, she left her PokeNav behind." She pointed to the familiar device on the counter, as she gathered Kasiya's Pokemon and returned them.
"Sounds like something I'd do," Kasiya remarked, eagerly placing each Pokeball back on her belt. "I'm not really doing anything right now. I could take it back to her, if you'd like."
"That's very kind of you," the nurse smiled. "And I'm sure she'd appreciate it very much."
"It's no problem, I've got my bike," she said, patting the folded contraption on the floor. "I can have it back to her in no time at all."
"Even better," the nurse smiled, and handed the device to Kasiya. It seemed fairly new, quite easy to distinguish from her old, beat up PokeNav. Nonetheless, she put it in her pocket and headed for the door, and had already folded her bike and was ready to go when she realized something else. "Um, Nurse Joy?" she asked, poking her head back inside.
"Yes?" the nurse asked, ready to resume her duties.
"Just where is the Daycare center anyways?"

Kilik hopped off his bike and began to walk with it towards the Pokemon Center. He knew for a fact that both Scizor and Flareon were dead tired after their battles and he felt a bit ashamed that he didn't try and heal them sooner. He paused outside the electronic door and pulled his bag off. It fell to the ground with a soft thump. Running a hand across the frame of the bike, Kilik took a moment to refigure how to fold it. "Oh, that's not how it goes..." he mumbled to himself. There was a bit of fuss as he continued trying to close it.
An eternity passed before he finally folded it together like it was supposed to go. Granted, it was only five minutes, but the eyes of the people around them and their occasional snickers seemed to make it go by much slower. "They act like they've never seen a kid with a bike before." Putting his bike into his bag and strolling through the Pokemon Center's door, Kilik let out a light yawn. The nurse wasn't behind the counter at the moment, so the boy decided to spend a minute removing the Pokeballs that adorned his belt and look at them. He had three regular Pokeballs, containing his Flareon, Weezing, and Elekid. The black and white Rocket Ball held his mysterious Poppite safe, and a blue and white Park Ball housed his Scizor. The nurse finally approached him.
"Hello there, Kilik!" she smiled, "Finally come home for a bit?"
"Oh?" he blinked and laughed, "I've been home a few times already. I just never stopped by the Center. I'm sorry, Nurse Joy."
The nurse put on a fake cry, rubbing her eye. "So, you don't want to visit the girl who helped you when you scraped your knee when you were seven?" she sniffled, "Or when those boys took away the book your father gave you two years ago? I see how it is."
"Joy, it's not like that!" he sighed, "I only returned home each time to drop something off at home, and then I was off. You see, I was very busy...I'm sorry."
The nurse smiled. "It's fine. Say...where'd you get that?" she pointed at Poppite's Rocket Ball.
He gulped. "I found it. After a Rocket Raid. Yeah," he lied, looking away for a moment. As if, he thought. He placed the Pokeballs onto the tray and slid it in her direction. "Thank you," he said, walking over to a bench to sit on.
