Miguel OHara I just got a new laptop that came with Vista and I hate it. Is there any way for me to get XP without shelling out a ridiculous amount of money? Piracy. I bought a Macbook specifically to avoid Vista.

I bought a Macbook specifically to avoid Vista. Unfortunately, that option just leaves you having to work with Mac OS. Vista's not the bad from what I've seen. I would like a far more simplified system, I've been thinking of going the open sourced route. But for now, I've got XP and it's not like I have to upgrade it to run Adobe programs, so meh.

Nope. The Dual Core Intel processors on the new Macbooks mean that you can run XP/Vista and Mac OS on separate partitions. I'm posting from the XP partition right now.

That's it. It's officially dead. Now come the complicated legal matters to see if it's dead forever, or if they even want to sink more money in it. They might not even print it.

Well apparently Vista works with some routers, but not all. So I can connect to the internet just fine at my buddy's house, but not at home. That kills any hope I had for Vista. Luckily, my mom has a copy of XP that I might be able to use.

I'll switch over eventually but right now it's more advantagous to just stick where I am.

There's a special place in hell for unreliable writers. evil It's just plain selfish to be that much of a ******** up when there's dozens of other writers waiting for their chances, say nothing about the rest of the creative team.

Oh my god, the world is actively disliking me right now! I want to go to the farmer's market, but all the ATMs at my bank are down. I go back the long way to the US Bank and the ATM won't give me my $40. So now I have to watch my account to make sure I'm not charged. Then I have to go back when they open to make sure they aren't going to charge me in the future and inform them their ATM is s**t.
ARG! I'm not leaving the apartment again this weekend. Every time I do I get injured, ripped off or rained on. scream
Thanks for the sparkles and the support. For any of you wondering why untested writers don't really get a shot at DC, that's why. They rather Marvel books crash and burn. DC/Vertigo takes their pick from people with known reputuations of reliability.
