*Pet snorts and shuts his book with a sharp clap* .. I think I'd rather not.. you should rest I'll be back to check on you tomorrow.... kaiori should be back by then *he slinks out of the room and out of the house* ((sorry gtg))

Than: Okay... break time ~_~ *Than leaned back against the couch. Instead of resting as Pet had "suggested", Than had been working on his leg muscles the entire time. By now his muscles were tired, but they were much easier to move around right now* mm... *Than was probably going to just sleep for the moment*

Fenton: ._. *Fenton had taken up a place by the window and was looking around. Without warning, he started making noise like an alarm*

Than: hmm? nani? *He looked towards the window, but couldn't see what was setting Fenton off*

*Just outside of the forest, Proto and his little squad had arrived. The four flyers with standard models riding on their backs hovered above the barrier. Proto was the only one to land. The gold and white automaton stood up straight. He could already judge that it would take quite some effort to break through the barrier, and he figured it would be best to wait for someone to come and find him. Being surrounded by hovering droids and a large white robot standing outside were things sure to draw attention*

Proto: *Proto turned half way, getting Kaiori in his sights. Once he realized who it was, from Zio's records, he turned to Kai completely and saluted her casually with his free arm. His left hand held only a shield, and there was no other armament on him. A few beeps from the droid are Kai's only greetings. It didn't seem that this one could talk. The other droids that were floating about kept still, for Proto had commanded them not to aim their weapons nor engage their combat systems*

Proto: *Proto made one more beep, cursing his inabilty to communicate with english. Proto only had one other way to express the reason for his coming. The robot took several steps back from Kai, and a small camera like device rose on his shoulder. The device activate and let out a light through its lens, projecting a red screen*

Zio: *The small white line on the screen distorted with the words made by the female voice* Greetings, Kaiori Night. I am Zio.... self operating maintenance and service system of Lord Mastema's citadel. The squad now surrounding your home forest is not intended to attack. The reason they have been sent is to retrieve Lord Thanatos, whom we believe to be in your care, and return him to the citadel. We ask that you comply with little question. Failure to return Lord Thanatos to care of citadel personnel will result in more forceful action being taken to assure that he is. *The voice was montonous and humorless; Mastema wanted Than back at the citadel for one reason or another*

Proto: *Just blinks his single eye a few times, watching. For now Zio had shut up, thankfully*

Than: Hmm? >> *He heard Kai running just slightly before she came in through the door* Anno... *before he can greet her, he's informed that there are bots outside that want to take him back. The only bots he knew of were Mastema's* Ah..... So that's what he was letting up a fuss about... *Than looked down at Fenton, who was nestled down by his hip. He looked back up to Kai, thinking for a moment* Hmm..... well who is it? Zeno? Otosan doesn't often send out the army mechs without one of his generals or a designated leader.....

ah.... Proto-san..... *He nodded* I see. Well at least he's the best one they could send. Don't worry about fighting him, he's more on my side than Otosan's. He's patient, so we have some time....*Than went silent for a moment, thinking about his options. The citadel sounded far from appealing after his last dilemma. But if he stayed he knew one of the less kindly generals would be sent out. Than sighed, reluctantly* I'll go..... *His tone was less than enthusiastic. He went about unstrapping the weights from his ankles and putting them up on the table*

*Than tries not to be overly objective about the subject, but he would make his reasoning known* I'm just weighing everything out. If I don't go now then Proto will have to report that I'm still here. Next time they'll come in greater numbers and probably be less polite. What you saw out there is just Otosan's warning shot.... I'm sure of it. *He looked down to Fenton again* If they do come back your forest would be the battle ground..... and I know you're the last person that wants it to become that. It's not right to let this kind of peace be lost over deciding where I stay. And yeah, I guess I do kind of feel like a rope in a game of tug of war. *Than braced himself to try and stand again* Don't get me wrong, Kaiori-chan. If I could make the choice without strings attached I would love to stay here a little longer. But even that way.... I'm going to have to go back to the citadel sooner or later. I might as well go now. *Than winced lightly and starts to slowly rise off the couch*
