.Savage_Kitten. And baris are really expensive, always over 2,000 bucks. Unless you want a real piece of crap, which you obviously don't, so that's why I suggest you try and get your school to purchase a new one. Love bari the most, I would say. My Alto alone costs near 2,000 bucks. It was brand new when I got it. But the guys here kinda over charge sweatdrop

I actually own a Custom YAS-875 and got it right before they released the Z customs. Now i want a Z custom crying

It's close to about 50yrs, she didn't get it new either. I have an old Cleveland King 613, it's only worth about 150. But I want the yamaha custom, but it's way outside my price range.

I feel a little sad about my sax playing habits right now. By trade I do the alto, but I play the bari for school. We can't afford a bari sax over here yet (just bought a house, so funds are tight) so I've got to stick with my alto. I must say I'm a little disappointed.
Has anyone else felt that way when they make a switch to a new instrument they love and then can't keep it that way?
Also, in the interest of getting this all out while I'm still here and not asleep, my career as a sax player has sort of come to a bit of a standstill. I lost my music folder so I've got little else to practice on besides school music. If you know of any good sites for some sax music--and not piano-- then it'd be wonderful if you could drop me a link here or in the PM box.
If there's already something related to this, maybe it could be made a little clearer because I couldn't find it right off the bat. << I might just be lazy.

I've yet to find a good sax music site, unfortunately. But, I usually just get piano music and transpose it to sax music. (For changing the notes, you just go down 3 half steps. Like, B flat is G, D is B, etc.)

I guess it's time to go download some music for that recital I've gotta practice for. =D

I've been playing alto 8 years, tenor 6 years. played bari last year for concert and jazz band, hated it (too heavy!); no offense to people who play bari- it is a nice sounding instrument. just not for me. I also play clarinet, but not well xp
marching band 4 life! domokun

hola (again)! i posted a while back, but i may as well re-introduce myself. I play the alto sax, going on about 5 years this april. I kinda feel like a loser, but I love to play showtunes on my sax xD but I play pretty much whatever my band teacher throws at me, but I hate playing jazz with a passion >3< sooooo... nice to meet you all 3nodding
i feel rather left out since my shcool doesn't have a marching band (at least not that I know of...)
