"You should never fall asleep in unfamiliar territory, especially when you could possibly be doing something"Ari said calmly. She looked around to see of this Akimichi was anywhere in normal eyesight. He was not.Ari sighed and waited.

Quote: Hiro walked fast towards Taki. Before leaving he had asked the guard how long it would take for him to get there and told him it was about two days of travel.Hiro shrugged and just said calmly to himself "what else is there to do?".He walked on towards Taki in an attempt to hopefully find some traces of Tobi. Quote: It was not long before Hiro hit large stone mountains."I was beginning to wonder where the stone in the village hidden in the stone was" Hiro said with a chuckle. He only became a little afraid traveling alone when he would spy someone looking at him. This was very dangerous, being here by himself left many Suna ninja an easy capture. Quote: Hiro sighed as the rocks kept on coming. He was really hoping he would make it to Taki in time to get Tobi."How could he just leave me...."Hiro said solemnly."I thought we were friends, but I guess not."Hiro jumped over a couple of boulders and continued passing more and more rocks. Quote: Hiro began to contemplate whether he should kill Tobi when he found him or not.Hiro grimaced at the idea of him having to kill one of his best and only friends."I will find out what he is doing, then I will decide what to do then"Hiro said sadly to himself. Quote: Hiro was cheered up a bit by a large opening in the rocks."Finally" Hiro said in relief."I guess I am that much closer to finally finding Tobi."He passed some more rocks, but there were still a lot less than usual. Quote: Hiro smirked. He looked down and saw evidence of a recent scuffle between many people by the looks of it.Someone had been laying or sitting on this rock, and judging by the patterns of the footprints, that person was ganged up on. Quote: Hiro looked as a set of footprints were stopped abruptly with the scuffling of many other people. No doubt this person who was trying to escape was Tobi.He sighed and continued to search for more clues. Quote: "Looks like Tobi decided to get serious"Hiro said as he saw the footprints sharply turn towards the rest of the clutter. He looked in all directions for more clues. Quote: Hiro sat down for a while and yawned. He was tired but could not afford to sleep. He looked at the footprints some more and followed them in the direction they looked newest. He was hopefully not passing over old ones he had already seen. Quote: Hiro grimaced as he saw a huge crater just around the corner. He walked to the crater and examined the indent. It was a Tobi all right.Size and everything. He was hoping to find a hair or something similar to confirm this, but he did not. Quote: Hiro was just about stumped when an ugly voice shouted from behind him.He twirled around to see. This had to be the people. There was about four of them.Hiro smiled and said coolly "Whats up?" And as he opened his eyes from his grin his smile had diminished. One of them was wearing Tobi's goggles. Quote: Before any of them had time to protest to his actions,he had taken his puppet and killed off all but one of them.Tobi may have been bested, but he was hand to hand combat,Hiro was ranged. His puppet disappeared and Hiro held the last of the thugs by the neck,a Kunai close to his throat Quote: "Where is my friend you pig?" Hiro said stabbing the thug in the stomach. He whined in pain but Hiro just tore the goggles off the guys head."I said...WHERE IS HE?" Hiro pushed the Kunai deep into the guys leg and he began talking quickly. "He was off to Taki!We needed food so we beat him up and took his things!I am sorry!".Hiro laughed and then smiled."Thank you,and sorry for the trouble!"Hiro let go of the man,but without another word, sliced his neck. Ryoko looked to them for a moment. "Leaving so soon? I'm sure my son would love to meet you two. I take it that the one with the pretty eyes...your from one of the Konoha clans right? Hmm I've heard Konoha has a few specialist in eye jutsu but I've never seen any. They look so exotic."
She had to stop herself from rambling again. She took a slight breath and smiled. "Well MR. Kage, would you like me to escort you to the Kage tower or not? You obviously can see the tower from here but getting in...well...that'd be a pain without a friend along."
Ryoko was obvious to the exact details of the Hokage and any other kage for that matter. That's why she didn't even know the man was the Hokage till the Hyuuga woman spoke about it. She simply smiled to them and began to rock back and forth on her heels waiting for their response.
"Hmm but then again, while I'd love to do it, the kage isn't in at the moment. I could take you to the tower where you could wait if you like?"

"That would be great....Thats if you would not mind taking us."Ari said, staring at her."She sighed as she peered around the area,it was drenched in unfamiliar people. She wanted to kill them all so she could be in peace, but that would hardly be except able.

Akane sighed and thought for a bit. "Well if we stop off somewhere to eat sure I will wait, but I am empty so I need food, that ok?" He smiled warmly to the woman and rubbed his head. He seemed kinder now like he saw the person with calmer eyes now that she had shown herself for who she is. "We should find the others too. We can't leave them wondering around alone. And I am sure you know who is going nuts with all the kids around and only him to take care of them."
He sighed and looked over at the woman. "Would you mind doing this before we go to the tower?"

Ryoko smiled to the man. She understood his position. He couldn't really well be having people slinking and playing games around him with the position he was in so of course he was suspicious of her when in her young form. She didn't mind. As a mater of fact, she had a lovely way of things running through her mind.
"But of course. You guys go round up everyone and why not come to my house. I'll whip you all up something special as a welcome to Iwa kinda thing." She smiled to them and bowed greatfully to them all.
She then turned to point out where the house was. It was very nice and large so they'd know where she meant no problem. She bowed and began to head toward the house but not before screaming at hte top of her lungs a loving, motherly call. "ROY!! GET YOUR a** OVER TO THE HOUSE AND START THE STOVE! WE GOT GUESTS!!!!"
She waved and began to head off.

As odd it seemed Kaisude found that the shinobi, had weid armor and flowers in his head. "I should try to find that guy again." He said turning around and then he began running back to where he met Shikamori, Damn it why are these people so tall? He thought to himself and continued to try and find the guy with flowers in his head. When he did see a cloak standing around, he also noticed two more people with him. "Its akward that I run into him, and now it will be akward running into him with his friends around." Kaisude walked slowly towards them, having to push through several people barely even making them move. As he approached Shikamori he reached out to grab the back of his cloak and get his attention by pullig on it slitghly.

Yokou bowed to Ryoko, a formal gesture of thanks, before she walked ahead a step, stopping, and waiting for the Hokage to follow. The Hyuuga head was the one whom knew the way back after all, with those eyes of hers. And...there was something she wanted to ask Akane... Was he really sure about this...? The Konoha group had been attacked more than once while traveling to Iwa, by wild beasts and enemy shinobi alike. This...this worry wasn't like Shikamori's paranomia. Yokou was simply suspicious. After all, they knew Ryoko for perhaps only a few minutes...
Shikamori was dead tired from this whole business...and from the months of endless traveling. But he opened one eye lazily, eyeing the kid tugging on his cloak. "Hm?" He groaned tiredly. Yokou... It had been almost an hour and half but there was still no sign of her.

"Exscuse me sir. Are you from the Leaf village?" He said looking up at Shikamori, he was a bit nervous but he stayed in place. Keeping his composure he waited for hte responce of the man. He really didn't know who the man was, and asking that could end up causting his life. That was a risk that Kaisude had to take, even if it really did mean his life. The armor of the guy looked familiar to that of his father, so he had so kind of reasurance that Shikamori was from Konoha.

Ryoko began to head home. Again, her house was a bit bigger than most of the others in the area because of the dojo in back and her late husbands garden on the sides of the house that her and her family now kept up in his memory. She walked into the house and sighed. It was a strange thing to see her cook. This was probably one of the things she loved to do more than fighting. She began to put on the apron and called for her daughter, Sonya, to come help cool.
Pretty soon, the sweet smells of all manor of food began to fill the air. She was humming and laughing the entire time she prepared the extravagant meal. To be sure, she loved finding any excuse to cook really.
Roy had heard his mother's bellow and winced a bit at it. It was something he was use to but still he hated it. Meant she was serious but at th same time, he was in the middle of something. He couldn't just ditch the kid to help his mom. He'd be gone for hours more or less and that wouldn't be fair. So he stayed his ground for the time being.

Akane looked over at Yokou and smiled, this was a reasuring smile saying it will all be ok. "I am sure we will be fine here Yokou, so please get that look of worry out of your eyes. We have people to look for." Akane then held out his hand. He did this with Yokou for a reason. It was like asking her does she wish to follow him like she says? Or will she take her own path?
He never questioned her motives not once, it was like he knew her like a great book he red over and over just for the thrill of reading. Once again he gave her the look, the one most mistaken for love but Yokou would know it as him just caring for her and wanting her safe. "Come now Yokou we must find the other Hyuuga children and the lazy man."

Her expression became unreadable. Akane understood at least this part well. Even with the Hyuuga clan's promise to always be loyal to Konoha...the clan members...they were like birds. And birds, caged within Konoha, always hold the fierce longing to be free. To fly free in the sky... A dangerous desire Konoha's line of Hokages could never allow...because of their kekkai genkai.
The Byakugan was their curse...their true cage...
And so they grew to be an unpredictable clan. The Hyuugas, even more so than the Uchihas...their favour could change with the slightest wind. And an angry Hyuuga was always a potential threat. The Hokage himself had seen the state she was in when Shikamori first brought her to the rebel camp...half insane, mad with grief over the lost ones of her clan...her own daughter included. Her last, living child. That month...the Konoha rebel shinobi were frightened of her and blamed the Nara for bringing a potential danger. Shikamori scorned them for judging so easily.
There were actually a trio whom tried to slip poison in her food, out of fear that if she should entirely lose her mind, that Yokou would destroy them. But she was a talented medic-nin, and that was their greatest mistake. Yokou was going to kill the daring rebels whom crossed her - except, Shikamori was able to freeze her in time. There wasn't a doubt. Yokou was dangerous when her feelings were left chaotically open...from the long years of being shut...caged in. And then she would close her feelings again, becoming even more unpredictable...
She didn't truly trust anyone...save for Shikamori. The only true reason that ties her to the Hokage's campaign to retrieve Konoha...was that she had lost too much to go back. Too much to waste the dead's sacrifices in vain. And so no longer did she care of how many corpses she'll have to step over to watch that goal attained. She will destroy the Fire Master's assistant, member of her clan or not. She will kill any of those Fifth Dawn and Master village shinobi whom got in her way. The gentle side of her had long frozen over from suffering...
The Hokage's offered hand... His test, undoubtedly. Follow, or carve her own path. The message was as clear as the brilliant silver moonlight. Follow him, or create her own path, like how she carved her way through numerous battles with the Kusanagi blade...stained black with the blood of Master and the Fifth Dawn shinobi whom had dared to attack the Konoha group while they traveled, searching for shelter until they could retake Konoha. Yokou did not spare a single one, men, women, children alike. She knew this was his test...her Hyuuga pride rebelled, but then why...
She did take his hand. The hand of the man she lost so many for. The Hokage whom she both revered, hated, and followed loyally. The white lilies of Konoha...they really were quite so strange.
"Lord Hokage..." She began quietly. "I hope you know what you're doing. But..." Her pale eyes were illuminated soft lavender in the dim evening light. But they darkened and her next words held a cold chill. "You won't die before me - I won't allow it."

"Then I live forever, cause never will I let you die Yokou." His eyes showed the truth as his lips touched her hand. "Thank you." She knew he wasn't one to push anyone to do anything. A hokage was lost already from this basterd and he would not let anyone else suffer. His body lifted from the gracful bow he had been in and he sighed. "Please don't look at me with those eyes Yokou, I am not like the rest." He shook his head ashamed in a way and began to walk for Shikamori.
He was walking alittle infront of her. Not to shun her but to shun himself. She knew how he felt about this whole thing. He had to kill to get here and he was a medical Nin, he wasn't meant to kill others. He did look over at his shoulder at her with a saddened eye. "I will avenge your losses."

The cold look in her eyes softened but...she broke her gaze, looking sideways to the ground. "I didn't..." She whispered quietly. "I didn't want to, either..." Akane knew what she was referring to... Yokou was one of Konoha's most talented medic-nins, and with the Byakugan to aid her, traveled further than those without the fortune to have that natural advantage, within the medical field.
I didn't want to abuse the Byakugan like this... The same image came into her mind, crushing the organs of countless young enemy shinobis with the Hakke Hyakunijuuhachishou. A swift killing...brutal enough for them to feel a moment of incredible pain, realization of utter hopelessness, before death claims them. But...even though the Hyuugas is one of Konoha's prized clans...their limit wasn't meant to be exploited in such a manner. Used as tools would be...just like the Kiri kekkai genkai clans of old.
But his next promise surprised her, and her eyes widened slightly. Nobody ever made such a promise before...much less from the Hokage...she was always taught to fend for herself. Being born as heiress to such a sad clan...meant brought into life without parental love. Parental love... Did...did she neglect to give that to her own children while they were still alive? A small, sad smile tugged at her lips.
All kinds of strength was in this world. But the saddest kind of strength was to remain strong so others could draw theirs. Akane was placed under the burden of being strong for the Konoha rebels, Yokou for her fellow clan members. Tears can never fall, they cannot grieve for those lost... They cannot look behind.
Only forward...
