Alright! Levi watched Hel boogie her way off the dance floor, continuing on with West until the music changed. It came to her attention that she was with West again and they weren't outside. They hadn't discussed all the things that happened prior to the hoedown challenge. So Lizzy and Mac knew now... they had to. How could they be convinced otherwise? She'd need to discuss it with Lizzy at some point, but right now, the tatzel wanted to hear West's thoughts. West, c'mere with'me a sec. Last time she said this, they ended up outside. She had no regrets about where she ended up or what she was doing. Rather, she could at least admit to herself that it would have gone on forever if they hadn't been interrupted. Was a shame. Just started warming up out there... but at least they were friends and not some no-gooders. There was a positive twist to things the ghoul had to be thankful for. They'd keep it a secret, right? Right.Levi held out her hand to West, suggesting they leave the dance floor. Her tail swayed over, nearly curling his again, but she stopped herself. Instead, it somewhat curled just offside of the boil, recoiling back to Levi who bit her lip in embarrassment. Dang, got'a be'more careful. Pouting as she lectured herself, Levi just had to chuckle. Doing this boilfriend and ghoulfriend thing in secret was harder than it looked, for sure.

When Amarus excused herself from their Trio making it a duo once more Kettil offered a small pout at her but let it go especially since she was talking to a boil that she apparently needed to have a talk with. He may as well let them have their ~moment~ together, "Alright Amarus, but be sure to visit with us again soon~," The boil gave both of them a short grin and then quietly walked with Lark to the punch bowl where he got himself and Lark a glass of punch. Now seemed like a good time for a break.
Kettil offered Lark her glass, "Here ya go," he said to her with a smile. "Wanna see what other mischief we can get into after the drink or ya just want to sit around and talk for the rest of the evenin'?" Drifter Jet Enduro (Cause Ket grinned at Mot and Amarus. TAKE DAT GRIN. TAKE IT.)

"No! You aren't bad at it." Mot insisted with a baffled expression. "It was kind of you to ask. Truly. Thank you for your concern. It's sweet." He stood back as she hid herself from view, tilting his in wonderment at what she was up to. The gift was met with a surprised expression, soon followed with a soft smile. Mot took up the ribbon that was shoved at him with a chuckle. "Thank you. I'll treasure it." Mot kept every single gift anyone ever gave him, after all. "I'm sure it will help me at least settle in tonight."He stashed it neatly in the pocket of his coat. "Don't be silly. Our friendship would never be ruined over something so small." In fact, he opened his arms. "Hug on it?"

Mot's apparent baffled expression made Amarus, herself, very confused. How could she not be bad at it? Was that the usual response one could expect? It really was impossible to predict what someone else would do, if that was the only thing she took away from prom at least it would be a lesson well-learned. Before, she had not particularly tried to gauge reactions in advance; Amarus had simply been herself, in whatever space and with whatever company, and when the company changed she'd continue to just do whatever she felt like. Sort of. There was that one time she had grudgingly apologized for destroying a bunch of books, even if they deserved it.
She had certainly never been called sweet before. That went right over her head. "So I didn't ruin everything? Yessss," she celebrated, sounding more and more like herself. "Well, you don't have to treasure it! It's just a piece of ribbon, I think I have hundreds more-- but I mean, I hope it does help, at least. Just a bit. Any bit." Amarus cut herself off before she could elaborate on that.
"Coats are useful," she observed aloud, contemplative. Usually she stuffed everything into the sash that held her robe shut with its ornate Lotus clasp. Or hid things in her sleeves. Like an amateur magician.
Never? Really? Amarus' eyes lit up, even if her expression was still fairly neutral. She eventually, slowly, smiled, and immediately after hugged him with a bit too much enthusiasm, holding on tightly. Amarus holding on tightly could become painful, and after the initial excitement of the gesture she eased up a bit, but didn't quite let go yet. She didn't get hugs very often, almost never, just because ... well, no one really thought of it, apart from Kettil. She seemed kind of cold, which was a natural deterrant. "I promise I'll never ruin our friendship over something stupid," she mumbled into his chest. Then realized she should probably let go.
Social skills. Baby steps, Amarus. Baby steps.

Amarus's rambling was rather cute, or so Mot felt. She was certainly enthusiastic, despite anything her poker face tried to hide. "It's not the worth of the object, it's the fact you gave me anything at all." He explained with a smile. Mot tried not to choke as Amarus hugged him way too tightly, his thin frame barely able to handle that much affection. "Don't worry bout it.." He wheezed out, patting her shoulders softly. Once he was let go, he could feel his ribs once again able to expand with a breath. Sweet freedom.

Amarus smiled up at Mot, relatively oblivious to his wheezing. Amarus was short, and rather small, but she was definitely stronger than she looked. That was her only real asset, after all. Although if she wanted to learn how to bake her narcoleptic essence into treats, she was going to have to read to learn about some recipes and how to go about baking at all.
"I probably won't," she admitted, having stepped back. It was true, she wouldn't think on it a second time. Although if she ever felt that she had failed to keep her promise, the dishonour would crush her, so she sincerely hoped that never happened. No ruining. That couldn't be too hard...? Oh Jack, she was doomed. So doomed.
Shoving that inevitability aside, Amarus realized that he was there alone again. "Mot, your friends actually let you take a break from dancing?" she asked, grinning. She certainly had enough failure tonight, and she'd likely spend the rest of prom searching for her discarded shoe and the table she had left her mask on.
As an afterthought, Amarus added on: "I am bad with ... words, sometimes? Mot, if I do something wrong, and I can't apologize but I want to, can I.. hug you? To tell you that I am sorry," she asked, awkwardly. It just seemed like a good idea to set up a backup, for the times she knew that nothing she said would be right. Also she liked the hug but would have to have a reason for it.

Mot laughed, shrugging amusedly. "So it seems. A much needed rest from all of the fun." And to think he had yet to dance with all his friends. Busy busy. He tilted his head down as Amarus spoke with him, considering her request seriously. "If that makes you more comfortable, then yes." He understood from experience some people felt their actions spoke better than words, after all.

The skinwalker stared after Freya even after she disappeared, his expression a mixture of bewilderment and incredulous, albeit mostly hidden by the skull mask. What wasn't, however, was the fact that his mouth was hanging open a bit, that dubious feeling bleeding through just enough to be visible. The valkyrie was acting pretty friendly towards him, inspecting his tattoos... touching his head... or, maybe that was how she always acted. He couldn't really recall, he wasn't sure if he'd ever seen her before. Which was why he kept staring after her, squinting a little at her retreating form, trying to pinpoint where he might have met her. When he did look back, it still took a few moments for him to close his mouth, jaw closing with an audible click, only to be replaced by the slight lifting of his lip, eyebrow quirked. "Uh... no. I don't think I know that ghoul," he replied, cocking his head to one side.
Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, Nuk blinked a little when Rita said the word 'date,' momentarily taken aback. "Hey, whoa, I don't know..." he started, pausing to glance at Nergui. He didn't want to insult the ghoul, either by saying they were or they weren't on a date. On one hand, she might be offended if he assumed they were. But if he said they weren't, she might think he didn't want to date her, which was just not true. At least, he might like to sometime... Clearing his throat, he continued, trying to tread on eggshells, "... I mean... Nergui and I were just talkin' -- she's far too classy a lady to be on a date with a rough monster like me."

Titus was....well he was kinda pouting. Or at least as close to pouting as he could get. " Yeah, everything seemed to be going well. Cracked Big Slow on the a** but Churrpup brought the whole celebration to a stop." Titus really needed to start using people's names. Surely no one understood who the hell he was talking about. Barely raising a brow when he heard the new and yet somewhat familiar voice Titus looked up to see the vampire boil from earlier with a set of heels. " I already touched on that when I arrived, I think you're a little late to the conversation," Titus remarked to Lou's statement about Riyo's dress. " So what's the news, Hoover? (Get it? because vampire's suck) You have a fancy pair of shoes there." Titus pointed at the shoes in question with his riding crop. It was a handy tool.

Like the nosey and jealous ghoul she was, Hel did keep an eye on Mot after he turned her down for dancing…only to see him meet up with Lizzy. Lizzy… > : ( Not only that, but then he was hanging around that other pink haired ghoul from earlier and he was not dancing with any of them. … > : C Hel’s train of thoughts would be abruptly cut short though, as in her backwards moonwalk, she ended up bumping right into Titus and Riyo. The ghoul let out a scowl as she stumbled forward, whipping around to face whoever had been in her way. “ Watch i—“ She paused, narrowing her eyes at the two. “ Oh. You two. What did you do to Shun?”

Amrita rolled her eyes, which was quite visible behind her mask.
"Oh please~" The Patchwork teased, leaning in to 'share a secret' with Nergui. "The roughest thing about him are his edges." Amrita chuckled, casting a sideglance at the boil. Rough around the edges, but a complete sweetheart in her memory. He scared her when they met with those chomping teeth, but...that was pretty much the end of it. "Maybe his hands." Probably. She vaguely recalled rough hands holding her ankles when she piggybacked him, but as a zombie child with no real nerve response, it was probably just her imagination. Either way she smiled sweetly up at Nuk as if she had done and said nothing.
"But...I guess then it'd be okay if I stole him for a dance?" Backward hands slid slowly around Nuk's arm, lightly pulling him away from the other ghoul. "I promise I'll give him back shortly!" Apparently her excitement over seeing her old friend and 'tough muse' outweighed her need to not be rude to someone else. She then turned both grey eyes to the Monster himself, smiling brightly. "Err...I mean, if you don't mind, either?" Her smile faltered for a moment, as if unsure if he would. Nergui was very pretty of course, and she could always hunt him down later!

Mitsu nodded at that. It made the thought of insanity not nearly as scary. True Riley seemed a little...out of sorts but that was to be expected right? She had after all been brought back from what everyone considered death. " I hope the other students who are infected can find a little bit of hope in it. Maybe its on a path to finding a way to cure the insanity." Mitsu wasn't entirely sure but they had reversed the process this far there was no saying they couldn't rid Riley and the others of the remaining signs of insanity. " It makes me sad though...there might have been hope for Red and some of the other horsemen.." But they were surely gone beyond repair.

"Well, forgive me honey bunches but I've been busy stealing the shoes of miss friendzone and speaking to breasts." W-what? It seemed that Titus and Lou were about on the same wavelength when it came to names.
"Wait, you what?" Riyo wasn't sure she really wanted to know, but damn if questions weren't impulsive.
"Ah, yes thank you. I rather like them too." Lou nodded in response to Titus's comments on the shoes, sitting them on the table in front of the duo. Instead of answering the feline's question, Lou simply held up both of his hands like little puppets.
"Lou, please notice us! We're small but we're here! That's why she wore this skanky dress!" The vampire squeaked in his highest voice, his hands mimicing his words. "You're the only one who cares about A cups, Lou!" The other hand mimiced in return.
Did Riyo look flustered? More than you can imagine. "B CUP." She screeched and slammed her hands on the table. Sweet Sally they didn't look THAT small!
Oh great. Now Hel was here? What did she-
Riyo's face immediately went flat. Seriously. "I didn't realize Shun was such a petty little b***h." The demoness spat. "Maybe instead of asking what we did to him, you should ask what he did to me. I don't know. It seems like you're choosing favorites here, Hel."

Thankfully, Amarus was under no such strain. She was just sort of wandering around and seeing who appeared. Like at the punch bowl: A wild Mac had appeared! And covered her in punch. Now that the misunderstanding with Mot was cleared up, Amarus' confidence and sense of self was thoroughly restored. Well, thoroughly enough; she would have to spend long hours dancing alone to restore her pride, and then longer hours honing her techniques in order to defeat Tseng in combat. "I think I have given up on dancing for tonight," she admitted, with something between amusement and a grimace.
"Yes, Mot, I believe it will make me more comfortable. Well, not comfortable in that hugging makes me comfortable, in fact it's kind of the opposite, I am unsure as to how to respond but my feelings," she paused emphasizing the word like she was saying something unpleasant like my innard snakes, "seem to tell me that I like it, and I know that I say stupid, stupid things, so it just seems like a good idea."
"Maybe?" she asked at the end of her tiny ramble. Yeah, she was fine. She was a big girl. She'd live. Well, in a relative sense. "Unless it makes you uncomfortable, Mot? I mean you no harm, you know," she said, her cheeks going faintly pink. She meant it, too. the not meaning him harm thing.
And then, she suddenly thought of something. She took a stab at her feelings. "Mot, I think I am... happy? That it turned out to be an over-reaction on my part. I am happy?" she suggested, as though she needed magical confirmation that was indeed what she felt. "But I am not happy that you are unhappy-- at the risk of making you run away again. So if you think of something I can do that can make you happy, you let me know. Until then, um," Amarus hugged him quickly and stood to herself, hands clasped together, bowed briefly to ring her bells.

Did Hel see Lou there at the moment? No, not really. He wasn’t enough of a pest to make it onto her radar yet. As Riyo spat at her though, and then went on to bad mouth the grim reaper, the ghoul immediately was riled further. She moved closer to Riyo, planting a hand on the back of the ghoul’s chair and leaning towards her. Intimidation tactic. “ Shun is not a petty little b***h.” The reaper growled. “ He does not do anything unless provoked either.” Hel huffed, glaring back at the cat ghoul. “ Do not dare accuse me of picking sides, Riyo. You are not the one sporting a sore rib and marks on your arm, are you? I can assume the two of you are responsible for making Mitsu flee tear stricken as well. What kind of friend are you to do that to her?”
