Never Again...Herald leaned down slightly and kissed Emma before straightening up. "Come with me," he told her before he turned and began walking towards the edge of the lake. Will I be bound in chains

Never Again...Herald turned around and scooped up Emma in his arms, unlike how he usually carried her under her arms, he carried her with one arm under her back and the other under her legs. He then used his resonance force to launch himself up into the air, coming down slowly until he was hovering over the middle of the lake. He lowered himself until his feet were touching the water using a small amount of resonance force to keep himself aloft making it seem as if he were standing on the water. Once he landed he leaned forward and set Emma down on the water assuming she'd do the same. "Emma..." he began, looking as if he were deep in thought about something. Will I be bound in chains

She honestly wasn't expecting that and took a second or two to recompose herself before Herald set Emma down. Instead of using resonance force, a platform appeared that radiated with an energy similar to how Emma's barriers did. She stepped on it before turning to face Herald. Never Again...Herald was silent for another moment, running over the entire process in his head. He wasn't an idiot; he made sure he had gotten the ritual down to a science before he dared to do it to Emma. He took a deep breath and reached into his back pocket as he looked down at her. "I...remember you told me about this and I think it's something that...we should do....because..." to be honest he didn't really know how to finish that sentence. He just somehow knew that it was right for them. He knelt down on one knee in the middle of the lake, pulling out a small deep-blue box. He reached up and slowly lifted the lid, showing the blue diamond ring inside. "Emma, will you marry me?" He asked. Will I be bound in chains

As she started to piece together what was happening, her eyes began to slowly widen. After Herald proposed to her, Emma was a little bit speechless, she knew what the answer was but she was having a hard time processing the words. Despite knowing that this would happen eventually thanks to Scratch and even Herald saying that he would be alright with it, it still was pretty emotional for her since she never thought something like this would happen to her after everything in the past. Emma's eyes began to water slightly and she quickly began rubbing the tears away. After another moment or two, she managed to regain enough composure to look at Herald. Never Again... Herald let out the breath he'd been holding as Emma nodded. At first he'd been worried he did a part of it wrong but once she nodded he reached up and took her hand, slipping the ring on her left ring finger. It was the left one wasn't it? He was fairly certain. He held onto her hand as he looked down at it. The ring fit well; he had approximated the size right too. He looked up at Emma again and gave her a smile. "Please, say it," he asked, needing to hear it from her. Will I be bound in chains
