Cassie looks at the paint thinner.
"So now after you've painted it your going to remove it ot hide the truth. Don't say it's your punishment.. I mean who the hell would punish you by making you stare at a naked girl all day?! Huh?! You must think I'm stupid or something. I'm outta here.. if you got the hots for Dani maybe you should go out with HER!"
Cassie turned around and then started running because she didn't want Chris to see her tears.

"Yea I better clean up real quick." She got up to walk to the ladies room then spun around pointing at James. Seriously she spoke. "Don't do anything to my drink..." then hurries off to the bathroom.

"Wouldn't dream of it."
As soon as Dani went to the bathroom, James hustled over to the table of boys.
"She look familiar to you guys?"
The guys all looked at James and nodded.
"Do you want to make more money? Sure, we all do...."
He lowered his voice and spoke to the guys for a bit. The leader nodded, and James handed him something out of his pocket. James then went over to the counter and ordered the milk shake and sat back down.

Sliding back into the booth she drummed a little beat on the table announcing her arival.
"I'm back!" She said cheerfully. "Hrm, no malts yet?"

Cassie could hear Chris behind her.. but she didn't want to talk to him. She didn't want to hear his excuses. So Cassie flew up high into the sky and flew as fast as she could no looking back, no more tears, just go. In no time Cassie realized she was flying above the ocean but still she wouldn't turn back.. not yet she kept flying just trying to get the image of Chris with Danielle out of her head.

The guys in the booth elbow each other and walk up to the table.
"Hey, cutie. Didn't I see your face somewhere in town?"
"Aren't you the chickie on the mural on the municipal building?"
"Man, you were looking at the FACE? I just saw those fantastic ta-tas, man!"
The leader of the group puts a hand down on the table and leans in really close to Dani, taking a deep smell.
"Mmmmmmm, baby, you smell like a party. You wanna ditch the shortie and come hang out with some real men?"
"Yeah, shortie, forget about the pipsqueak and we'll show you a good time. We'll let you bump, bump, and grind, grind-"
The guy who was talking ground his hips against the back of Dani's chair as the others snickered. James stood up.
"Hey, treat the lady with some respect, you dopes!"
"Oh yeah? What're you gonna do about it, huh? Pipsqueak?"
The leader of the group pulls James up by the collar of his shirt. James smirked. He pokes a finger in the guy's chest.
"I'm going to ask you nicely to back off."
The guy looks down at James' hand and laughs.
"And if I say no?"
The leader grabs James' hand and yanks it away from his chest.
"Then you and me are gonna get physic-HEY!"
James' hand pops off in the hand of the gangleader, and starts sparking dangerously. The rest of the gang jump away, JUST as the fake hand....EXPLODES! Blackened and covered in soot, the gangleader backs up.
"Let's get outta here, guys!"
The gang beats a hasty retreat as James holds up his empty sleeve, gives it a pull, and reveals his real hand.
"Second oldest trick in the book. Are you okay, Dani?"
He sits back down just as their malt is served.

*Chris stumbles to a stop and tries to catch his breath as Cassie flies off.*

What's the point? This is like....every other day with us. She just gave me a big speech about trusting her yesterday after I caught her hugging that flute kid. And now she pulls this on me?

Witchblade reacted a lot faster then Dani as it formed several spikes jutting from the gauntlet, about to attack the leader. Thankfully James stepped in when he did. If her uncontrolled Witchblade got involved those guy may have been seriously damaged. She immediately hid her hand under the table as she watched wide eyed and slightly laughing at the Gang's expense.
"Oh thank god they are gone." She put the gauntlet hand behind her back, willing it to return to it's harmless form. "And Yes, I'm fine thank you."
"We should go, James. It's way passed curfew. If anyone notices we are gone. Well It could cost you the election..." She was pleading with him, but it wasn't like she really needed to.

Cassie flew until she saw land and then she landed on the ground.. She looked around and realized that she had ended up in Paris.. the city of love. Cassie looked in her pocket and pulled out her Visa debit card and went into a local cafe where she had a small salad and a glass of red wine ... alone.. Afterwards she walked the streets of Paris alone. All around her she saw couples in love she felt very lonely.. but Chris painted Danielle naked Cassie wondered if she even modeled for him. She sighed ... she just wished someone was with her of course not Chris or Danielle.. but maybe her brother, or Peter, or Wally, or Kori, or even Hartley.
