DARKSHADOW Do you hear me?
I'm talking to you.
Across the water.
Across the deep, blue, ocean.
Under the open sky.
Oh my, oh baby I'm trying. [Darkshadow got up. If he had heard a crunching noise then it must be for real.]"Shatteredfang, my dear. I'll be right back, I promise. I heard a noise. I'm going to go and check it out. If I don't come back just remember, I love you."[He whispered into her ear. Darkshadow turned around into the forest. As he walked he could smell... BLOOD!]"Oh no.. Not Fathom on one of his blood hunts!"[Darkshadow whispered to himself. But instead, he found Birchshadow. A fox trap tight on her neck. She was sure to be dead.]"No.. No, no no! Birchshadow!? Are you still there?! Please.."[Darkshadow turned around and darted to the camp.]"Lavenderrain! Foxfur! Someone! Birchshadow was killed by a fox trap!"[He yowled loud enough for everyone to hear.] I hear you, in my dreams.
I feel your whisper, across the sea.
I keep you with me, in my heart.

[ooc:] I lost Shatteredfang's post, and I don't feel like retrieving it right now. And Nekopon, I killed her because I couldn't keep up with her..... Ha, she's a ghost in denial. =P
[Shatteredfang's ears pricked. She didn't hear anything though. She glanced at her mate, shrugging.] "I didn't hear anything," she meowed, standing up. She trotted over to the edge of Darkshadow's den, peering out. She didn't see any cats in distress, so she sighed. She stopped. She felt sick and dizzy. And fat.
She gazed over at Darkshadow.] "I-I don't feel good," she stammered, shaking slightly as he padded out of camp. She shook the feeling away, padding out of the den. She just needed fresh air. She quickly padded out of camp, trying to shake the sick feeling away.
She heard the alarm call from a bird in the tree tops above. The sound made her flinch. She swayed on her feet. There was a ringing in her ears.
Shatteredfang heard Darkshadow's screech. She flinched, but padded quickly toward the sound.
Soon enough, she caught sight of a familiar silver she-cat. She felt her heart twist. It was Birchshadow!
"Birchshadow," she whispered hoarsely. There was no answer. She padded silently to her best friend's unmoving body. Numbness crept over her, threatening to make her fall. As she reached her, her legs crumpled underneath her. Her head fell on the she-cat's bloody shoulder. She breathed in her scent that was almost like Cinderwing's. She sighed, choking on silent sobs. Her body shook violently. Why, why, why, she asked herself. Her shakes grew harder, until she let out a hoarse wail.
A voice whispered to her.] Because you have kits to care for my friend.
[Cinderwing's ears pricked at Darkshadow's remark. He was frozen, his words not sinking in. When they finally did, a feeling of dread crept onto him.] "No," he whispered, standing up shakily. [He casted a terrified glance at Hauntedheart before dashing off into the forest, following the sickening scent of blood.
When he finally reached Birchshadow, he stopped. Shatteredfang was there. He sighed shakily. Shatteredfang looked up at him, sorrow in her beautiful eyes. He shook harder.] "W-We should get it out from around her," he whispered, padding away to find a stick. [When he found a good one, he went back, making quick work of unclamping Birchshadow's neck. Her head slumped limply back to the floor. He shook slightly, sitting down next to Shatteredfang, who had resumed to grooming her fur.]

Was the day I found itwon't be the same
((I think they do eat traveling herbs but I'm not sure))
[Hauntedheart glanced up as Honeypaw walked over. Did her apprentice have enough sense to wait until the conversation was done? She lashed her tail in annoyance. She was about to tell him to go away when he mentioned traveling herbs and how he had set them up for her. Was he trying to get her angry? She was the mentor, not him. Her crystal eyes were full of anger at her apprentice.]
"Honeypaw, if you don't remember, I'm your mentor and you're the apprentice so don't talk to me like I am an apprentice," she mewed harshly and lashed her tail angrily. "Go back to the den and let me finish up. We will go when I say."
[The she-cat then turned away from her apprentice and dipped her head in apology to Cinderwing. She ho[ed the tom didn't mind what had just happened. She stared at the ground for a few seconds and took a bite out of her mouse before looking back at Cinderwing.]
"I'm sorry about that, Cinderwing," she mewed, her voice in a much softer tone then it had been a few seconds ago. Her crystal eyes had also softer.
[As the tom left, Hauntedheart sprang to her paws and bounded after him. Birchshadow was dead? No! Poor Cinderwing... The medicine cat stopped right next to Cinderwing and stared at Birchshadow and the marks on eh neck. her eyes widened and she looked at Cinderwing.]
"I'm so sorry, Cinderwing," she mewed gently.

Oh my, oh baby I'm trying. [Darkshadow ran back to the spot where Birchshadows body was. He grabbed a stick and attempted to get the fox trap off of her neck. When he got the stick through the traps jaws he tried to pull it apart.]"Cinderwing! When I get the opened up pull her body out of it. Got that?"[He said calmly.] I hear you, in my dreams.

[Cinderwing trembled slightly, looking up as Hauntedheart spoke to him.] "It's not your fault," he whispered, looking back down at Birchshadow again. [He looked at Shatteredfang, who seemed horrified about Birchshadow's death.] "We should carry her back to camp for her vigil," he sighed sadly, bending down to pick her up by her scruff.
[Shatteredfang didn't move. Kits? What kits? She hissed slightly. She couldn't be expecting kits! Of course it explained everything. Why she was heavy, why she was sick, everything.
She sighed, nodding.]

 H o n e y p a w“There they stand, the innumerable stars,
shining in order like a living hymn, written in light.”___________________________[Honeypaw tensed as his mentor snapped back at him. He expected some sort of sharp-tongued reply, but this caught him off-guard. He listened intently, his tail drooping and ears flattened submissively.]
“Yes, Hauntedheart,” [He meowed flatly and dipped his head again, a sharp pang striking his chest. He felt like he was being suffocated. How could she even find fault in a kind gesture? His green eyes showed nothing when he stare absently at the ground. He calmly added,] “Sorry, Hauntedheart.”
[Without looked up at her, the golden tom back up several footsteps before turning and padded gently into the den. Feeling utterly hollow, the apprentice sat in his nest, eyes watching all the other cat rush out of the clearing to answer Darkshadow's wail. A cold shiver passed through Honeypaw as he wondered what had happened outside of camp.]_____________________

[Hauntedheart smiled softly at Cinderwing. She felt bad for the tom, first he loses Shatteredfang's love and know he loses Birchshadow. She nodded to him and let out a sigh.]
"Good idea, I think I may stay at camp tonight so i can sit vigil for her. I also want to treat her wounds, she doesn't deserve to go to StarClan all bloody" the medicine cat mewed and padded over to Birchshadow's body. [She grabbed her gently to help Cinderwing carry the warrior back to camp.]

You seem sick and your best friend was just killed by the twolegs traps."[He said. Darkshadow looked at her with loving eyes.]"You were right.. Twolegs are cruel beasts.." I hear you, in my dreams.

When they were finally back in camp, he maneuvered her so she was laying in the center of camp, by the Shadowstone. He sighed shakily, bending down to smoothe the fur on her neck.]┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛I'll take your love,

[Hauntedheart helped Cinderwing carried her back to camp and she then stared at the tom for a second. The she-cat then padded to his side and pressed close to him, trying to comfort him. She knew what he was going through, that feeling of being abandoned, alone, sadness, anger, confusion, and shock all at the same time.]
"I know... it hurts, it hurts like nothing else. Like a cat just ripped her heart out but your still living," Huantedheart mewed gently, still pressing close to the tom.
