Alex watched the rice, stirring it as it coked. When it was done, Alex set it to the side and got working on the miso soup.

When the fish finished cooking, he took them off the grill and set them on the plates. He quietly walked over to where Alex was to see how he was doing. "Your cooking are excellent as well..."

"You're welcome. And while that is true, a recipe can't predict when rice reaches its peak fluffiness." He smiled. "Well, the fish is done. I'll go ahead and put the rice into bowls." He went over to the rice pot.

Lune helped set the table. "Okay, everything's all set. I'll go check on Tezuka."
He knocked on his son's door.

Tezuka smiled and followed. when he got to the kitchen, Alex had already set up Lunes and Tezuka's plates. He then started to get his own.
