(^_^; I was hoping to get a few more bad guys into the storyline...I guess that's just a pipe dream I have...)
Kir smiled back to Lydia and petted her hair. Then he pulled back and, after making sure she was with Mana, went back to the living room after Lily.
"...I don't think it's anyones most favorite subject...However not talking about it is what's going to kill us eventually," Core said.

Nikoli takes a deep breath and throws an incredulous looks at Core.
He doesn't say anything. He wants to see what the reaction is.

And that was part of the problem. That and everything else that had happened recently. "I need to step out and clear my head before I loose it," she said calmly, even though she was far from calm. It was more like a numbness. She then started to walk again.

Kir went through the living room and out the front door to follow Lily.
Core watched Kir go, unable to stop him. He gripped his chest and looked down for a few seconds. He trembled ever so slightly from the pain coming from his crystallis. Then he stood straight again and turned back to face the others like nothing happened, "From how I see it...We have three things to do," He brought up his hand with three fingers, then he made it one, "First, we need to locate and retrieve Synthic," He lifted his second finger, "Second, we need to gather more information on what the Academy is doing right now, since my knowledge is a little outdated," And the with the third finger, "Third, we need to get more help. Not in quantity, but quality. A war is stirring, and we need strong and skilled warriors on our side. It's all meaningless if we don't."

Lily knew that Kir was following her, but she didn't try to stop him, or really acknowledge that he was there. She had a bearly-surpressed need to kill someone and she wanted to get to at least a less populated part of the city.
"Please, be careful," Chiasa asked him when he trembled from the pain. Then she was quiet as they went back to talking about the fight. She was of no help here. Heck, her blood would force her to flee before she even got close to the fight.

Aislin sent a glare at Gab then turned back to Barick, and blushed, "Right... Clean sheets... Especially after how many times we..."
Gab swallowed the chunk then looked back to them, "Really Lin... You know I can see what's going through your head..." His eyes went wide, "How did you twist your body that way?"
Aislin sent a bright red glare at Gab, "Shut up, before I turn you into dinner!"

Kir followed after Lily, keeping the little bit of distance between them for now. He opened his mouth to speak, then realized that again no sound was coming out. He resumed his following.
"...We need to be separated into three groups..." Core said and lowered his hand to his side, "We need to figure out which group goes where and does what. I'm not fit for battles so I can't be in the army recruitment group. Chiasa is the same I think...I could go with the searching for Synthic group, since I can identify her."

Nikoli nods. "Good thinking, Core. I know, now, that you angels may not like this idea- but at..." Nikoli chokes it down. "... a small cost, I can summon a squadron of spectres to work for us. Nasty little bastards, but loyal."

Lily finally reached a place where there was no on around except for Kir for quite a distance. Then she leaned against a wall that was still mostly intact. She felt so lost now. she was torn and what Nikoli had said had only reminded her more of that.
Chiasa looked down, feeling ashamed of her uselessness. It was in her nature to make herself useful, but she couldn't seem to do that in this situation.

Kir stood and silently watched Lily, uncertain.
"What kind of 'small price' would that be?" Core asked and brought his attention to Chiasa as well, "Are you okay? Here," He knelt down before her and put the back of his hand on her forehead.

Lily knew that it was unhealthy for her to numb herself the way she was, but she knew that her emotions affected Kir through their connection. He had enough problems without her adding to them. But... She couldn't face up to the Academy problem when she was doing this.
"I'm fine," Chiasa said, averting her gaze from both of them.

Not getting an answer from Chiasa, Nikoli shrugs and turns back to Core.
"My name. I would have to say my name. And so would you. And It's a name I'd be surprised you angels are QUITE familiar with."

Aegina thought it through. "I agree about dividing the groups. Core, you lead the group to search for Synthic. Barick and I will handle the soldiers and be part of the battle and as for the recruitment crew..." Aegina thought about it. She needed someone to be able to go from place to place swiftly without being noticed, but able to identify if someone is good or evil. Someone that will be able to judge how well they can battle.
Barick put the finished steaks on to plates. He looked at Gab and his face went red from embarrassment. "Aislin... He saw? Oh god..."

oh, who wants to volunteer to be the leader of da recruitment crew?]]

Core looked over to Nikoli, "I don't quite follow what you mean. I don't think your last name matters in this case, just like mine doesn't matter," Core nodded to Aegina, but wondered what Synthic would do if she saw him, "Rght. And we need someone who can get information from the Academy without getting caught. I think that's where we'll need the covert skills of assassins, as long as those people promise to try not to get caught. Chiasa...you'll come with me right?" He looked to Chiasa again. He didn't want to be separated from her.
Kir continued to look at Lily in worry.
