Damian looked like he had just been heavily drugged. He missed those kisses, and said so himself by his eager returned affection. The one thing he missed most, though, was getting to hold her and be close without wincing in pain. This had happened before, but none of it had felt worthwhile.
When she pulled away, his almost stupid smile gave away everything he was thinking.
"I've missed you. You feel so far away when I can't move."

Raquel furrowed her brow, still giving him a smile though. "I know...I miss you so much.. even though I can feel and touch you...Its not the same you know?" She couldn't help it as her hungry lips sought out his own again, feeling her heart feel tense from holding back hr love right now. She didn't want to hurt him despite how much she missed him.

Anything was better than lying on his back all day with a little pat or brush her or there. Damian was a creature who needed and sought out affection, for people to approve of him. Despite his pride, it was how he worked.
"I love you," he whispered just as she pulled away. "You drive me crazy, and I love you."

Raquel lingered near his face, though glanced back to look at his battered body. "My poor baby..." She cooed so softly, disregarding how 'crazy' she made him. "I love you so much..." She kissed the edge of his lips softly, leaving a little tingling sensation.
"Is there anything I can get you?" She asked, hoping naively that any small task she could do for him would make him even a little better.

He did have to admit one thing at least. "I'm so hungry."
His cheeks looked gaunt, and his ribs were showing a bit more than they had before. Raquel was right, he thought. He did need to gain weight.
"All the terrible things I could eat now, like doughnuts and cheeseburgers..." he laughed. "Though do not make me fat, please. I don't think you'll like me as much if you have to roll me out the door."

Raquel couldn't help but let out a nice genuine laugh. "Of course not! Though I think I wouldn't love you any less.." She smiled, reluctantly scooting away from him, standing a little wobbly, getting a look in the mirror on the opposite wall above the dresser.
"Good heavens! I'm a mess!" She frowned, horrified at her own appearance. "I'm determined to make myself look better for your sake. hm?" She smiled, trying to straighten up her hair. She'd even have something to eat to make herself look healthier as well. "I'll go fix you up some breakfast alright?" She smiled lovingly towards him, heading for the door.

Damian was about to say that she looked fine for his sake, but she was out the door before he could protest. Honestly, he thought. She had to get out of the mindset of pleasing him like a slave to a master.
As she went off, Damian smiled and looked up at the ceiling. His expensive ceiling that he would leave once they had everything settled in Druis. Would that all work out, he wondered? A healthy life away from it all? Or would they grow bored, being from the city of lights and constant sound?

Raquel made her way to the kitchen, quickly locating an aspirin or two to take to hopefully calm her nerves and headache. She then proceeded to pick out Damian a rather hearty breakfast before quickly going to her room to change for the day. She had about 5 minutes before the automatic timer went off, the food all ready in hand, so she slipped on a pair of jeans, as well as a loose but attractive sweater, feeling only slightly chilly recently. She wasn't sure if t were jstu a passing weather phenomena, or just the early change of season, but in any case, she just wasn't feeling too summery recently.
After brushing through her hair, pulling it back loosely, she went to fetch Damian's food, as well as his medication for that morning.
"Here you are love~" She sang as chipper as she could manage with her head just starting to dilute the pain. She set his tray. near his lap, not sure if he wanted to get up for breakfast, use the bathroom, change or just stay put. It was really up to him and how he felt she figured. "Lets get some light in here hm?" She smiled as she waltzed over to the far windows, pulling up the sleek blinds to let in a little late morning sunshine.

"Could you help me up?" Damian didn't quite have the strength yet to sit upright on his own without great pain. All he needed was a pillow behind his back, and he would be fine.
"And once I'm done eating, I'd like to take a shower somehow. All in a day for Damian Centurion, eh?"
He no longer felt guilty for asking her to do anything for him. After all, they were to be married eventually, and she did love him, and he would do the same for her ten times over.

Raquel smiled, coming up to him, grabbing a near by pillow to set him up straight as she gingerly eased his torso up. He was still heavy for her, despite his weight loss.
"Of course darling. We'll get you looking like a million bucks in no time. Then hopefully you'll start to feel like it too." She smiled, stealing a kiss as she backed off, getting him situated enough to eat breakfast.
"I though I'd try to fatten you up but still give you a well balanced breakfast." She nodded, looking to the spread of many many carbs, a few fatty proteins, some fruit, and everything else just for him. "And it wont hurt my feelings if you dont eat it all. I'm still worried about your eating solid food. If you start feeling sick or full stop ok?" She requested with big eyes and a soft smile.

Damian looked back into those big eyes with ones that looked utterly confused at how he had managed to attract such a wonderful woman. He was an awful cur being served by a princess.
"I adore you, you know that?" he said, before taking up a piece of fruit and gently biting into it. "I'll listen to every word you say. Upon my honor."
But he held up a piece of toast for her, not knowing if she had eaten anything before serving him.
"But let me take care of you when I can."

She smiled sweetly, sitting on the edge of the bed, nodding before taking the toast with her teeth in a cute fashion. "And I absolutely adore you...I still find it amazing how you can look at me with such adoration and care despite what I put you through..." Her one hand held the toast while the other reached out to push a bit of his hair behind his ears.
She smiled so lovingly as she nibbled on her own toast, even taking a small sip of his orange juice. "Don't forget your medicine love..." She reminded, looking down at the small cocktail of medicines. The ones he had in the morning wouldn't put him to sleep, but would merely control his pain hopefully, as well as help stabilize some of his injuries...

Damian did swallow his medicines with grimaces at the taste. Disgusting, he thought, with each gulp of orange juice he tried to keep down.
"Well," he said with large eyes to Raquel. "Do I get a kiss at least for being good and taking my medicine as I was told?" That old charm was coming back from his battered body as he smiled and raised his eyebrows at her, in some attempt to make her smile again.

Raquel smiled form ear to ear, a foxish little spark back in her eye which seemed to have been gone for so long. "I suppose a kiss could be in order..." She shrugged, leaning over, preparing for a deep lingering kiss, though instead, simply pecked his forehead. She pulled back with a grin and stole a piece of fruit.

As he craned forward to catch her lips, he found himself faced with her neck instead. That wasn't what hehad in mind at all, but he did have to laugh. It was essentially what he had done to her while at the mall that one day. Raquel had expected a kiss upon her lips, but he had chosen her forehead out of respect.
"Cruel mistress," he purred. "I think this is one reason why I love you so much."
