Quarter system? It's like Semester system, but shorter and more frequent. My school year starts in late September, and ends in late June/early July. There are three quarters within that time, and you can do summer quarter too, but people usually don't.

Yay for the classic 4-quarter, 2-semester college-prep system! Less confusing! I just wish that they'd learn their freaking alphabet! stressed Our classes rotate, and each period is assigned a letter. We have periods A-G . . . and Z.
So, an "A" day would run as follows:
A
B
Chapel
C
D
Z
Lunch
E
F
Then the day after that would be:
G
A
Chapel
B
C
Z
Lunch
D
E
...and it keeps rotating like that. It's pretty cool, but ugh... it's so weird when you're first learning how it works and junk!
