chaeval *That's fair enough.*She replied, leaning her head against his shoulder and saying nothing further. Words were merely making things more complicated to them both. What did words do to clear the murkiness of their sitution or offer a relief to them both? Nothing. Nothing said could.
She couldn't even offer him comfort. It would be a lie. And she was never good with those.
Sei had told her to talk to Chae. Perhaps she should. Perhaps once and for all she should cut the ties that were strangling her. Perhaps the freedom would be worth the temporary pain.
Perhaps. Nika, who was still lost in the memories of Sound, smiled softly to himself and then wrapped an arm around Shi's shoulders.
His memories of Sound weren't many. He couldn't recall some things, like what her favorite meal had been or what her favorite color had been. At the time, those thing would have seemed small and a nice things to know... but now, when Sound was merely a memory that meant the world to him, he felt like he would kill to remember those things about her.
He did, however, remember her voice. Sound had had a beautiful voice. How could she not? She was the sound element afterall.

{{Seems a good place to end that, Gee. So Im going to skip ahead to Chae, and if you need to clean up anything else, let me know. smile }}
It had taken some time to revamp the room into a sort of makeshift kitty den. It also had required blankets, pillows and some imagination. When she was a child, she had been an avid "fort" builder...taking normal everyday items (without parental permission) to create an elaborate (to her) network of tunnels and hiding places. That...was sort of what she was trying to do here.
The Rade had watched her efforts with a mixture of indifference, interest, suspiscion, and some amusement. She wasn't exactly sure what to make of this human yet, but she trusted Charlie wouldn't have left them worse off...
If there had truly been a place worse off than they were...
Pushing the thought away, she firmly decided she did not want to think about that. Her parents were dead. Baron had ensured their deaths for not following him.
She'd make him pay. Someday. Somehow.
But right now she should put this human out of her misery.
"That's really quite fine." she said, jumping down on to floor and starting to dig in to the blankets. "I can finish up."

santa_kitty he handed another large hunk of the rabbit to her. eat lass, eat. he began to eat the last half of the rabbit for himself while holding the other chunk out to her. he was giving her the best meet and would eat off the bones for himself. so what are ye running from lass? Zahar chewed on the food for a bit thinking it rude to talk, even with her hand, during a mouthful. she still had a good bit of meat in one hand as she spoke with the other. The past. As you have seen there are many of us that have masks. We were not always like that. She hesitated and looked like she was trying to find something in her mind. Zahar took another small bite of food and sighed inwardly. I cursed us all, and not everyone knows. I hurt our people. My people. I used to be a princess. Her eyes didn't seem to thrilled with the fact. Many masks, people, have been killed because of my jealousy. I do not even know how to live with myself. She stared at the last of her food not feeling hungry much anymore.

I have slain to many beings in my life to have... I.. Look. Believe it or not i know what you are going through... but you will be fine, and hey, you have someone at your side that doesnt care about that part of your life. he shrugged if you knew all of the horrors of my past you may very well not want me around at all. if you wish to know then ask i guess... as you have told me of the skeleton in your closet so shall i tell you if the ones in mine if you like. he pointed to her food. eat lass you have need of your strength

Zahar's body shivered. I killed people because I was jealous. It was a spell my aunt tought me, I thought it would knock them out. Fire, the one I was with when you met me. He was my fiancee. Her eyes looked a little sad. She shook her head and held out the food. I do not need this and you do not need to hear my story. I do not think that you really care to know. Zahar looked away from him and out into the dark woods, still holding out the meat.

he laughed bitterly. and spoke aloud since she was facing the other way, " As you wish. i will clean up and we can keep a small fire if you will be more comfortable. i will keep watch," with that he tossed the meat into the fire, though it was a shame to waist. he had never tasted those herbs go bitter in his mouth like that. perhaps he had over stepped his bounds. he would be more cautious with his speech and transgrestions around this woman.he made the fire pit slightly smaller. and put out some of the flames wit small amounts of dirt. he then bounded up the tree Zahar was leaning agains and lay across a branch, this would be his vantage point.

Zahar's eyes frowned and she stood up. The fire would be all right at that size for the night, but how could she sleep. After starting to pace she thought to herself, I hurt his feelings some how. I cannot go one day without hurting someone. With her arms wrapped about her she walked to to oppisite side of the fire from the tree and stood at the edge of the light. The only way to stop hurting people was to leave, even if they feel an innital sting. Zahar's eyes fell to her feet, the darkness was not so profound, the moon lit up the path a little. She scuffed a shoe against the ground softly. Deciding to herself that she would leave him in that night, maybe not now, but soon. Zahar went back to the fire and sat staring at it, remembering Kasai, the old Kasai.

Zahar looked up from where she was sitting and sighed. She layed down, appearing to rest and close her eyes. Her mind was still racing though. Laying out a rough plan in her head she waited. Zahar would go further down the path they were headed and then veer off to the right, if the path and forest allowed. From there, she didn't know. Would he follow her? Galilee and Kenshi hadn't to her knowledge.

he sat in the tree listening to the night sounds and smelling the night smells. he lay draped across the limb of the tree totally at peace. this was when he was happiest. Titan had settled on the branch with him and had his head tucked under his wing now. he looked at Zahar, thinking that someone so pretty shouldn't feel so horrid.

Zahar waited and listened. When everything seemed to grow still she became nervous. Her last contact to the world, she would try and leave him. Flicking her eyes up to the tree, she couldn't see him too well, the fire had died down a bit from when she had first put her head down. His leg did not seem to be moving and the branch seemed still. With her hands she slid them down her sides, curling as she went. They grasped the hem of her dress and she pulled it up to her knees. moving her body slowly, Zahar sat up, then stood. Clutching the dress to her she moved as quietly as she could down the path.

he watched her psudo silent retreat from the camp with some intrest and worry, perhaps she was goin to.. relieve herself. he waited till she was out of eye shot before slipping down the tree. he stalked after her switching to infravision. she appeared to be leaving the camp. he would fallow her, thought she left for her own reasons this he could not hold against her, but he swore to protect her, and shadow her he would until he felt the time was right where she was safe, or he would reveal himself to her.

Zahar blinked in the darkness and started to shiver. It was not cold out, she was just frightened and nervous. Her knuckles paled as she grasped her dress tighter. Glancing around, daring not to use her powers should S.K. see the glow, she moved off the path now. Watching her dress and making sure it does not catch on anything. Hopefully her light foot fall would not leave tracks that were too obvious. Begining to talk to herself she thought, I hope they will be all right. Zahar's eyes began to tear, making it harder for her to see. How had she managed to e the bad guy in this? She thought she had been learning a spell to protect her people, but instead she harmed them. I should have stuck to knowledge, she glanced at her knives as she thought this. Pausing to lean against a tree Zahar let down her skirt and then started to fumble with her weapon belt. Tears streaming now, her fingers just didn't seem to work. So collapsing in on herself she sobbed.

he walked after after her. she seemed to be sobbing by the way her shoulders bobbed. he crouched low and stalked after her. something was the matter. he wanted to help. she needed to know that he was willing to be there for her. he crept silently out from his vantage point to within five feet of her collapsed form and stood hopeing she didnt get to frightened by his appearance. he shifted his vision back to its normal day time incase she flared that light thing that she could do. he paused infront of her. she didnt even know he was there. he felt so sad for her.he spoke allowed. in a quiet voice he said "excuse me m'lady, but i couldnt help but notice you left my watchful eyes. the woods at night are no place for one who is scared of the dark..." he waited to see what she would do.

Zahar's head jolted up and a small burst of light formed, but she pulled it back quickly. She didn't want to hurt him, she was just supprised at his apperance. Obviously her plan had not worked. Zahar blinked the last of the tears from her eyes and sat up straighter. I did not want to bother you. There was a pause. I thought I heard something and I came to check on it. It was an obvious lie, if she heard something she probably would have retreated closer to him. Brushing off her shirt she stood, a little shakey at that. Zahar's hands trembled slightly as her crossed them over the front of her dress. I shall be fine. I am sorry to have worried you. You may go back if you wish. She wondered if he could even see her uneasy hand movements. With a sigh she looked to the ground, not wanting to even know how badly he thought of her now.
