Emmett nodded and made his way dow the hall looking into the rooms he spotted his son, he knocked on the door and waited. His nights up doing reseach and the caffine in his system was taking its toll on him, he didn't drink caffine normally but he'd need to stay awake.
He took a deep breath before knocking on the door again louder this time.

The golden door opened, and a bright orange fox stood there, blinking at Emmett. He squinted a little, then looked over his shoulder at Jaden who was busy doing something with the Light blue fox in a very thick coat. After a few looks he smiled at Emmett, then started signing somthing roughly along the lines of. "You must be his mother, though i dare say he looks much more like his father. Do come in." He smiled at Emmett, then moved away from the door, sitting next to Ruben again.
Ruben looked up from what he was doing, and looked at his mother, holding back from crying again. He wasn't having a good day so far, but he had been busy learning something from his friends here that he hoped would make things slightly better.

Emmett smiled a bit at the fowes words, and looked down at Ruben he frowned and blinked a few times. He stepped into the room and looked around, but really he wanted nothing more then to scoop his boy and hug him. But he was afraid that he'd be pushed away.

The blue fox looked up at Emmett then smiled, waving, then turned back to ruben, nudged him and asked him somthing in sign. He then smiled, nodded and got up, turning to Emmett. He bowed slightly, then signed to him as well. "The boy has something he needs to tell you, he's scared he's scaring everyone with a misunderstanding he's caused by not being able to communicate well." He turned bck to Ruben, and helped him up, nodding to him to try his best.
Ruben swallowed, and signed to his mother, though rather poorly, but he had been trying hard to learn it.
"Mother... sorry you upset. What spoke in shop, was about shadows. i knowlage he isn't my father... but people think i say that and get upset at me. I don't like people upset at me." he said, starting to cry again as he hugged his mother tightly.
The fox smiled, deciding to finish off what Ruben was going to say. "Shadow had been protecting him and treating him kindly, like a father, but is just a good friend to him." he sighned, watching the pair.

Emmett nodded at the blue fox and held onto his boy, he hugged him tightly not wanting to let go. He ran his clawed fingers through his hair. " It's okay baby, im sorry i over reacted." Closing his eyes he continued to hug his son as his own tear slid down his cheeks.

Ruben cried loudly as he was held, not wanting to go through this again. By the size of his bag in the corner, he looked set to live here or something, but the foxes must've talked him into telling his mother how sorry he was. And to be honest, he was glad he was able to clear up that misunderstanding. He didn't want to upset his parents with misunderstandings. And he knew how hurt his father was.
The fox moved back over and sat with the orange one, murring gently and nuzzling the orange foxes cheek gently.
The orange one blushed slightly and his tail set alight suddenly.
Getting up, he turned to his tail, waved a hand and deflamed it without any signs of damage. "My name is Blazin, and this is my close friend, Frostbyte. We're helping Ruben to communicate again, as we all share a lacking ability to talk. Both Frostbyte and I have no voice box, so we too, cannot speak. But we're trying to teach ruben to write using his ability to draw. He can write out letters, just can't distinguish words yet.

Emmett dried his face on his sleeve. " Thank you, I've been looking for a way to teach him how to communicate for days now, but it's not easy." He admitted smiling down at his son. " Its nice to meet the both of you." Emmett kept his arms around Ruben but yawned a bit. Ruben now knew what he'd been doing for days in Kyan's study.

Ruben swallowed hard, feeling worse now. His mother had really been doing that...? He shivered, crying slower, but still hard. "Moma.." He said weakly, unsure himself of how he said it, but he was glad it came out. He wanted to proove to his friends that he DID speek today.
The pair definatly looked shocked for a moment or two, theough blazin smiled warmly.
"It seems he does have the ability to talk, he just dosn't know how to do it. This makes the puzzle easier to solve. He just has a learning problem, or the part of his brain that functions with communicating aren't as developed yet. But if he feels strongly on something, it will just blurt out as he dosn't think about it." He signed, trying to sum things up. "I hope that helps in your search for helping young Ruben."

Emmett smiled warmly at his son. " I always knew he could talk if he really tired, just never pushed him...he'll learn at his own pace." He kissed the top of Ruben's head. " Right now though, ithink something warm to drink and a rest is in order...What do you think love?" He asked softly glade that they didn't live to far off from the asylum.

Ruben just nodded, fading back into his usuall silence. He would try hard to learn again, because he knew it would make his parents happy, and maybe his brother too.
Frost smiled, getting up and picking up Ruben's bag and Handing it to the cat, smiling warmly at him. He wished him well for back home, and walked past them, reterning to his cell across the hall with a wave. He knew if he stayed long, alone with Blazin, that they'd start to fight and cause chaos.

" Come on love, you can come back tomorrow and visit after we talk with your dad okay...even if your just to give him a hug." Emmett said sliding Rubens bag on his shoulder. " Thank's for watching him...and well teaching him." He said with a smile as he lead his boy out of the cell.

Blaze followed them out, and nodded. "It's quite alright, mother of Ruben. It's the least we could do." He signed, not knowing Emmett's name. He waved at them both goodbye before retreating back inside.
Ruben smiled weakly at him and stuck close to his mother, even as a grown up. He'd get over that eventually, but for now he just wanted to stay clingy.

Emmett kept Ruben by his side as the walked towards the elevator. " Would you like to stop by that little cafe and get some hot chocolate?" Emmett asked rubbing Rubens back as they walked, he could tell that he was still alittle uneasy.

Ruben nodded, purring softly as his tail flicked from side to side as he walked. He quite liked hot chocolate, and would enjoy some right now.

Emmett lead them out of the asylum and towards the little cafe, so they could get some hot chocolate before heading home.
