Mae nodded, silently, "I know, I'm so sorry. It's my fault. I'm so sorry..." he trailed off, bitting his upper lip as tears welled up in his eyes. "I have failed my sudent."

Pygmi stared at him a moment. "I coulda taken him," she said half jokingly, her eyes grew solmn as she watched him. She'd always had him when she needed someone to pick her up and make sure that everything was alright. Even though she knew that, she could feel something changing between them.
"I didn't get you beat up did I?" she asked looking towards the wall.

Raven shook his head and almost glared at him. "The only way that you could fail me is to think that it is what you have done." He said looking at him, his expression becoming a smile. "I will live, and I have you to thank for it. You tought me all I know. I am a good swordsman because of you...I killed hte dragon...because of you. You are the best friend and mentor I have ever had Mae. You have not failed me." He stated, putting a hand on his shoulders, letting the tears that had welled up fall. But cutting off the others. "I will go through life without this arm...untill it is better I will go through it without it's use. I will live, you will live, we will all live. No reason to be dissapointed. Be happy tyhat we are alive." He said with a laugh. Laying back down after his speech and looked at everyone...surprisingly with a wide grin. Despite his wounds.

((Wow, you know, I really needed to hear that in real life. Thanks. I'm sorry my response is so lame, and so late.))
Mae laughed sadly as he hugged Raven's head to his chest. "Thank you, Raven." Tears begain to drip down the warrior's face. "You did well today, no other student of mine can claim to have slain a dragon. Come, you should rest in a comfortable bed. I'll cary you."

((I always try to keep my charectors as close to myself as possible, so it tends to be real for me, like I am actually there. So....just visit me if you need to hear that. xd ))
He smiled and returned the embrace with his good arm. He nodded as he spoke and he smiled. "Keep practicing Jules." He said as he was picked up. In the last moments he made his fingers look like a gun and he winked at her, behind mae's back so he hadn't seen. Their little secret.

Mae carefully carried Raven downstairs to his own room, and laid him down on the bed. "You should get some rest. I hope your wound heals fast."

Raven smiled and patted him on the shoulder. "I doubt it Mae...I doubt it. But thank you for your hopes anyways." He said with a weak smile, sadness somehow seeping through though. He, but a few moments later, fell into a deep but fevered sleep. It was plauged by nightmares and sweat fell from his brow because of his bodies high temperature.

Mae nodded as he looke down on Raven. He put a cold damp cloth on Raven's head and said, "Sleep well, my son. May the Kami grant you rest. It's the least you deserve." He went to leave, but turned around at the door and watched Raven sleep for a while, thinking about his student, and remembering the gun he still had from Raven. He vowed that if Raven couldn't use his gun or sword, he would learn to use the gun properly.

Jule walked to her room quietly. Nightmares sitting on her shoulders now. "I should try harder on my training now... I need to learn and I want to make my friends happy and not have to protect me if anything did happen right Nightmares?" Nightmares looked at her making a small purr like noise.

Raven slept, getting slightly better as he went along, the damp cloth cooling his head as he slept. When he woke up there was a black stain it seemed around the gashes that the dragon had inflicted but he overlooked them, deciding that they were nothing, simply an after-effect and he covered them up with his cloths. He sighed as he took off the damp cloth and sat up in his bed. "I need to make myself a splint for this." He told himself.

Jule put Nightmares in her room, he seemed tired but she wasn''t ready to vanish yet. Wandering out to the back of the ship with one of her less important swords she had gathered. Practicing some slashes and mvoes she already knew, along with experimenting with a few ideas of her own after making sure no one was around.

Mae sighed as he returned to the top deck. Dispite Raven's assurances, he still felt like he'd let his student down. He reminded himself that part of his duty as a master was to allow his student to take risks, that they would never grow if he kept sheltering them. He leaned on the rail and looked out at the sea. Damn, he thought, I can't keep doing this.

He smiled and shook his head. He walked to his own room and helooked about, moving his bed and peeling up a floor-board with his good hand, prying it with his sword, making sure not to touch his right arm. He smiled and he brought it up to Mae on the top deck. He looked at him and he smiled. "Hey, could you cut this to be about the size of my arm?" He asked with a smile. "I am going to splint it so it won't be able to move, just hand streight by my side. It will be safe for the half a year to a year that I have it for."
