In short, the waiter whisked away and brought back their drinks and two platters. The very large one of the two appeared to be Pokemon pellets (the waiter had apparently taken into account that Tora was present and herbivorous), and the larger was stacked with apparently barbecued, relatively thin rib-eyes. There were a few side dishes, one of which was the spicy kimchi which M.A. abhorred and another being a large bowl of seasoned rice. "Nothing like Korean barbecue," Sae grinned, smacking his lips once (what a boy, M.A. thought). He was gentleman enough, though, to allow the ladies to take their fill before attacking, though.
Tora and Ulani apparently weren't carnivorous, but M.A. was sure that Daemyn was. Upon his release, though, it appeared he was in a deep sleep, a rather rare phenomenon; typically, a single awry ray of sunshine could irritate the canine into waking, for he was quite the light sleeper. While chomping down, the brunette watched the Houndour fondly, seeing his ribs rise and fall under his sheen coat, muscles rippling whenever he twitched. Was he dreaming?
Sae, too, casually glanced at the Houndour. His sister was taking good care of him, whether she knew it or not. Looked like he'd evolve soon too... How healthy he looked in contrast to the puppy he'd brought home a year ago!
Meanwhile, Ulani took a couple of pellets for herself before landing promptly on Pikachu's head, since M.A. wouldn't let her disturb Daemyn and land on him, as was her typical habit. Tora's new head was even harder than before, and although those horns looked like good perches, she had a feeling that if she landed there the Donphan might eat her by accident. After all, in all honestly, Tora looked like a frickin' food demolition machine. Smeargle continued to paint, but it seemed that everytime he got close to finishing his piece, Tora would somehow accidentally smash it and he'd have to start all over again.
Sae honestly hated a quiet meal, which to him created a rather awkward atmosphere, and so amiably picked up some conversation. "So, Train! Tell me about yourself. You traveling with M.A.?"
"Ah, not exactly, we just met today," M.A. interjected between bites.
"You haven't been trekking around all by yourself, have you?" he frowned, big-brother mode stepping in.
"Nooo... well at least a while ago I had some company... And Daemyn's always with me," she said to her defense, the last bit interjected quickly. She could see the disapproval in his eyes, but ah well.

Before he had recalled Poliwhirl, Crenu thought he had caught a glimpse of a familiar aura around Kasiya's Larvitar. One that was similar to the same one his own pokemon had taken on a while back, though it wasn't quite the same. But at a second glance the Larvitar appeared to be the same as she had been before, so Crenu chalked it up to his imagination. The important thing now was that Poliwag had evolved and that there was still a battle to be won. Crenu hadn't used Ariados in a real battle since his battle Whitney, but Hitmonlee was bursting with blood lust and hadn't been in a real battle with Crenu yet. Not to mention the type advantage he would have against the Larvitar, it was something Crenu couldn't ignore. Crenu took Hitmonlee's pokeball from his belt and tossed it into the soaked ground before him, catching the damp pokeball when it bounced back. Hitmonlee stood tall in the sand kicking the air furiously, glad to finally be getting into another battle. He took one look at his opponent and immediately began to feel disappointed, but that wasn't going to stop him from crushing her. "Don't underestimate her Lee, both her and her trainer are a legitimate threat." He had to admit that throwing Hitmonlee out there was a bit of a risk since the battle was suppose to be just for fun. Hitmonlee wasn't gonna pull any kicks and he still wasn't completely under Crenu's influence. "Ready for round two?" He had been joking when he said it earlier, but much to Crenu's surprise he actually was having fun with this battle. Kasiya really was an accomplished trainer, after all those badges didn't come her way by accident, and hanging out with her was proving both beneficial to his pokemon's development and generally a pleasant experience. She was always smiling and seemed generally up beat, which was in direct opposition to his own personality, but he had to admit that it was startign to rub off on him a little. He still didn't get a full read on her battle style due to the previous battle being as short as if was, but with Hitmonlee's speed and raw destructive force, Crenu wasn't going to be caught off guard again. He didn't know how much more developed Kasiya's Larvitar was in comparison to his own, but if they were near the same level of skill then her rock slide would be the strongest attack he'd have to worry about.

Kasiya groaned inwardly a bit when she saw Crenu's Hitmonlee take shape in the sand in front of her, scratching her chin in a mixture of amusement and disappointment with herself for forgetting that he had the Fighting-type in his party. She kicked the sand and scratched at her scar a bit, wondering how she was going to get through this one. She could have easily called Ada back but the Larvitar had just agreed to continue fighting for her and she didn't want to hurt the Pokemon's feelings by doing so, plus she still wanted to see if she could push Ada into evolving as well - seeing Poliwag evolve into Poliwhirl just like that had light a flame in her heart and she wanted her little Larvitar to be the best she could be no matter what. Oblivious to the mini 'battle' Nova had incited with Shocker off to the side, she quickly scrolled through Ada's attacks in her mind, wondering what would be her best bet. Crenu hadn't set Hitmonlee on the attack yet so she decided to make the first attack. "Okay Ada, give 'em a taste of your special move, go for it!" she cheered, pumping her fist into the air. Ada turned on a heel to look at her trainer, grinning a toothy grin at the sight of her trainer's enthusiasm. Special move, eh? Alright, she was down with that. The Hard Stone around Ada's neck began to glow brightly as she jumped up into the air and came crashing back down into the sand, creating a small crater upon impact (and Kasiya secretly wondered just how heavy the Larvitar was now). Directly in front of her, largish, round rocks began to shoot up in the ground in a straight pattern, one after the other, heading for Hitmonlee. Kasiya smiled; she loved watching Ada's Ancientpower in action. And then, to add the proverbial icing to the cake, Adamantine began to glow a bit, and she flexed her arms, feeling stronger from the rare yet very pleasing stat boosts that Ancientpower could give.
It took a bit of direction but Shocker was eventually able to get Nova into a proper battle position, although the baby was far too excitable for her own good was was having trouble remaining in the same place for longer than three seconds. When they both were finally positioned Shocker instructed the young Charmander to try and attack and she would be attempting to evade (although the large egotist that was Shocker was certain that this would be little to no trouble at all). Nova wriggled her behind a bit before dashing at the Raichu, flaming tail swaying back and forth and burning brightly as she lashed out with her sharp little claws. Shocker had no problems sidestepping the attempt, unable to withhold a giggle as the baby face-planted the sand. With a grunt Nova pulled herself up, shaking the gritty sand from her scaly skin and she quickly shot a glare Shocker's way. Shocker's ears twitched and she signaled for Nova to come at her again.
=-=-=-=-= Leo looked on as the battle progressed, giving a defeated sigh after witnessing the birth of a brand new Poliwhirl. "Oi, these kids are really getting it done out there," he murmured, shaking his head. His gaze came to rest on the Larvitar and he scratched his chin. "What do you want to bet that the runt over there will evolve soon too?"
"I don't even want to hear about it," Mai retorted quickly, running her hands over Serenity's soft, velvety fur. The Espeon purred happily from the affection, though she still kept alert and ready for action just in case. She didn't know what her mistress and her mistress's boss had against all these kids, but all she knew was that she'd follow Mai no matter what.

Jun and his ambiguous aunt or cousin, at the time, were so wrapped up in their arguing that they hadn't noticed Aidan's departure. When Jenny realized this, she naturally felt very embarrassed, taking out her usually dormant anger on this exasperating relative of hers -- "Gawddamn it Jun Yee! You bring out the worst in me. Kind little Aidan, he does so much for this town, and when I try to repay him in someway, this is what happens. I mean who invites someone over and hardly notices them because they're arguing with a certain flamboyant individual?!"
Jun put both hands up in a mollifying gesture. This was one woman he couldn't fight with. Not that he minded fighting with girls -- if a whore's a whore, you gotta beeech slap her -- but Jenny was arguably one of the few people who could easily beat him up. She could probably even fight on par with her half-cousin three times removed, aka Jun's father, the head of the Yee family dojo, when he had been healthy. Or the relation was something like that, who really knew; there were so many goddamn Jennies. In any case, you didn't mess with this particular Officer Jenny. Legend had it she knocked out a Tauros with her bare hands. "Well, technically he is jail bait for you... Not much of a loss..."
"NOT MY POINT. Jun!" she sighed, suddenly exhausted as she sat back down and rubbed her temples. The young man took advantage of this down-time, and hoping to regain some of her graces, swiftly cleaned off the table. I mean, he was under her roof, and she'd kicked him out once before when he exchanged the ice cream in the fridge for a Jun-patented kind of hair gel that needed to firm up a bit.
After a moment of silence, she spoke again. "Jun, why are you still here?"
"I can't go back home," he whined.
"No, no, I understand that... Oh Jun, don't look at me like that. You know I can't get mad at you when you put up your dumb puppy face. But what I meant is, why are you still staying in this farming town? You want to be a beautician, but besides the handful of cowgirls and their mothers, you don't have much work here... You're always running off to Hearthome anyways."
Jun shrugged. "I have my reasons. Anywho, after your very fattening home-cooked meal, I think my thighs have grown big enough to be made their own country. Sooo, workout time for me. Want me to wash the dishes first?"
"Oh, that'd be lovely -- wait, you're changing the subject again!"
"Too bad," the boy said cheekily as he shut the front door, duffel bag in hand and his Jynx hustling out behind him.
"He didn't even wash the dishes," Jenny grumbled to herself, dumping them unceremoniously into the dishwasher, breaking half. Oh well, less washing then. She never was good at the house-keeping stuff... As much as I know he's gotta go, it'll be a shame when he leaves, she sighed.
"Jun, you dumbass, you're so transparent," Jenny murmured, picking up the check he'd dropped as he hustled out. Time to make a phone call.

"Well, ladies, we've got quite a busy schedule before us," Jun announced, having released his Roselia, Rosaline, to join Leeron and himself. "First, to Hearthome! I'm sure Jenny won't mind if we borrow her car," he grinned, a devious streak flashing across his glasses. Truthfully, Jenny hardly ever used her patrol car, opting for her sexier motorcycle, but it did piss her off when Jun hot-wired it. He never really did ask her for permission, and so never had the real keys for it. Thus Jun was likely one of the very few to be able to steal a cop car and get away without legal repercussions... Though last time he returned the car with an empty tank, and as luck has it, the next day Jenny actually needed the thing to pick up a criminal... Oh ho ho, he died a few times that day.
So they zoomed off to Hearthome, red and blue lights flashing (quite accidentally, since Jun nearly always mistook the headlight switch for the emergency lights switch), alarming not just a few trainers and Pokemon on Route 209. Jun truthfully lived up to the stereotype of bad Asian drivers, though it was partly due to his preoccupation Jun with stuff like singing sappy love songs on the radio or fixing his eyeliner in the mirror. By sheer luck, he never hit anything and always arrived in one piece. Someone up there loved him.
Fifteen minutes later, he hit civilization and slowed to a crawl, for kids, people, and Pokemon were everywhere in this town. Jun was a fairly familiar face in this town since he was around so often, and so a handful of townspeople waved at him and alerted him that he had his lights on again, and wouldn't this town's Jenny be peeved if he kept them on?
He parked to the side of the huge gym complex, car notoriously crooked as usual. But ah well, no harm, no foul! So Jun, Rosaline, and Leeron entered the sparkly clean institution with pomp and confidence.

It took Kurine a moment, but she decided that the strange plant-looking Pokemon was definately a grass-type, so her Cyndaquil should have an advantage. Her attention was brought back to Dakra as the two Pokemon charged at the trainer. "Hey!" The girl cried out angrily. "You're not suppsed to have Pokemon attack people! Cyndaquil, help Dakra out! Use Smokescreen!"
The little fire-type nodded and opened his mouth, breathing out a thick stream of smoke that soon covered the battlefield, before he ran forward and pushed Dakra to the side a bit, so that their opponent's Pokemon wouldn't be able to see that he had moved and attack air instead. Uh, I think Pidgey's know Sand Attack or something..." Kurine then offered, not very familier with the bird Pokemon.

Train smiled and thanked the waiter, taking a sip of her soda before setting it down on the table and taking a decent amount of food for herself after, laughing a bit at Pikachu's confused look when Ulani landed on his head. The little electric-type didn't seem to mind all that much, though, as he simply went back to getting a bit of Pokemon food for himself and chowing down on it.
Train had the same reaction towards quiet meals as Sae did, and was glad when he addressed her, waiting patiently for M. A. and him to be done with their little conversation before replying, "We just met a little while ago, when I accidently knocked sand all over her towel." She said with a sheepish laugh, her smile a bit apologetic and aimed towards M.A. "I'm actually fairly new at this, and was about to go challenge for my first badge when I heard about this beach party thing and decided I'd come and try to make some friends." She explained, taking another sip of her soda.

Mildly relieved that Jaeshan seemed to know better then to make fun of someones name, Ampersand had been teased a lot because of it. Honestly it wasn't like he had asked to be named after a sign! Shaking his head he tossed that notion out of his mind and rolled his eyes at 'Ann's comment. "I know you are perfectly capable of pulling out your own seat." Ok so he wasn't the biggest gentlemen there was. He showed he cared in other ways, like getting in a fight with her that lasted for so long. On second thought it might be a good idea to be extra nice to her since she did come out here, and she could probably stab him with that fork... The little monkey on his shoulder was probably what was making him kind of irritable right now. Deciding that Luffy could sit in his own seat he leaned back and snagged a chair from another table and pulled it over before plunking the little Aipom right down in it. "No climbing on people in a restaurant."
Robin however was very impressed about Jaeshan's gentlemanly ways. Though they did make her very embarrassed since she was in a restaurant with just a bathing suit on, she had taken her hat off at the door. "You really didn't have to pull my chair out." She muttered. "Thank you though." While she looked around she didn't notice the discreet waiter drop off menu's for each of them and fill glasses of water. Instead she watched Ampersand pluck Luffy down next to her trying to not make herself look stupid. After a second though she did notice the menu in front of her and picking it up she opened it and took one look at it before deciding that she had no idea what the majority of this was. "Umm... I think I am going to need help with this."

Gible did not like seem to being slammed into the ground and growled slightly before digging her feet in and bracing her self before she jumped forward and slammed herself forward in a powerful Take Down attack. It was a direct hit that sent the Buneary flying through the sand filled air. By the end of the attack Gible was panting from where she stood. Aidan himself was somewhat concerned. Gible was certainly a powerful pokemon but she seemed to want to do her own things in battle. While this had worked so far Aidan was sure that it wouldn't work always and they would have a better chance of success if she actually listened to him or didn't just do random attacks.
On the other side of the field the Buneary wasn't getting up, it seemed like that Take Down combined with the stinging sands had done the pokemon in. Deciding to end the sandstorm Aidan recalled Gible causing the winds to die down and things to settle down. "Thank you for the battle." Aidan thanked Shirley who was pouting somewhat. "I need to take my pokemon to the pokemon center. You can come if you want." He offered knowing that her pokemon would probably need to be healed.
Shirley sniffled somewhat as she recalled her pokemon before nodding. "Thanks, I would like to come to the pokemon center with you." That all settled they both headed down to the pokemon center to get there pokemon healed, the second time today for Aidan.

Shortly, Jun and co. met with their very sexy personal trainer by the name of Pierre, who greeted them with a very sexy, albeit slightly thick, French accent. What a shame the fellow was engaged to a woman, though with those mm mm pecs and chiseled features, he could certainly satisfy Jun as eye candy.
"First, ve vill do ze cardio, qui? Jzun, you have gained un inch of ze body fat, I can tell! Eet has been toooo long since you have came."
"Oh, I know," Jun said, appreciating the man's abs through his fitted tank-top. "I have to say, you're looking pretty good, Pierre."
"Merci beaucop!" the trainer said unabashedly. He was an affectionate man by personality, and if he wasn't engaged, Jun's gaydar might have flared incorrectly.
Soon, Jun was working by himself on the elliptical in a tight white tee and short, lime green track shorts, sweatbands and all, pumping rhythmically to some techno music on his gem-stone encrusted Ipod. Leeron the Jynx worked on the mats, committing to sit-ups while Pierre counted huskily in French (she had no idea how many she was really doing, since she didn't understand this language, but hell, she'd keep going if he kept counting like that to her), while Rosaline was... on a trampoline. Whether or not the flower was getting any exercise that way is debatable, but she did look awfully graceful leaping upwards then falling back down, doing some twirls and pirouettes in the air. It was only through the magic of an extra mat of foam on top of the trampoline's mesh that prevented her thorns from tearing it; at this Pokemon-and-people gym, measures were made to serve special needs.
Twenty minutes in, though, Jun shouted, falling backwards onto the ground onto his butt and cradling his hand. "Jzun! Vhat ees wrong?" Pierre cried, running to the rescue and kneeling beside the man.
"My... My..." Jun looked at him through his sorrow-filled eyes. Despite his dilemma, he was very conscious that this hunk of flesh was very, very close to him right now, and those muscles all tense in worry, and oh my... That hot breath on Jun's shoulder...
"Vell? Vhat is wrong?" Pierre asked, perplexed now. The man looked fine, but obviously, for some reason, he wasn't. Then again, this was Jun, and he wouldn't be surprised if it was something like breaking a nail...
"I broke my nail," Jun said flatly, revealing said ugly split.
Pierre shook his head, surprisingly understanding the man's plight. "Vell, ve can go to the nail salon together later; eet has been a while for I as well. Look at zees monstrosities!"
Jun gasped appropriately at Pierre's broken and rough nails. Pierre was a neat freak. How he lived with those nails for even a day, Jun couldn't understand.
"Well, one can always make time in their schedule for a little beauty trip."
not sure if that was a french accent at all. lulz. sorry if i offended in any way~

Shirley and Aidan headed to the pokemon center at a casual pace, neither of their pokemon were poisoned or seriously hurt so they didn't have to hurry to much. "You are really good at battling." Shirley complemented Aidan with a smile, she didn't seem to mind losing to much since it had been so close. "I know I am not the best, more of a contest person, it is just refreshing to have a battle sometimes though." She said with a grin as they walked into the pokemon center.
"Contests?" Aidan had never heard of contests before, then again he didn't know a lot of things about pokemon. It seemed like Nurse Joy was not behind the counter at the moment, she did have other duties and it wasn't like Aidan was qualified anyway. Going behind the counter he removed his two pokeballs at set them on a tray before reaching out for Shirley's. "I can heal your pokemon for you."
Shirley gave him a skeptical look like she didn't believe him. "Are you sure you can heal them, maybe we should wait for Nurse Joy."
"It's fine, I have worked here for a long time, healing these pokemon shouldn't be a problem." Aidan kept his hand out while Shirley gave him another skeptical look before handing him her own two pokeballs. "Thank you." Pokeballs in her hand he put them on the same tray as his pokemon and placed them on the healing machine pressed a few buttons and waited for them to be done.
"Oh right you were asking about pokemon contests." Aidan nodded. "Well in a pokemon contest you don't battle to see how strong your pokemon are. Instead you show off your pokemons beauty and how well they respond to you. It's really fun and super cool to watch."
As she spoke about contests even Aidan could tell how passionate she was about them. In a way Aidan wished he could feel as passionate as Shirley was about something. He didn't really have the time though, he was always busy helping Jenny, Nurse Joy and taking care of the kids. "You seem to know a lot about them." Aidan commented as the machine let out a bing behind him. Pulling out the tray he held it out to Shirley so that she could take her own pokeballs.
"Anyway thank you for battling with me, listening to me babble on to and healing my pokemon. I hope I see you again someday, maybe you could see one of my contests sometime." Giving a smile Shirley waved and left the pokemon center feeling good even if she had just lost.

Of course he had questions, but Keegan really couldn't think of appropriate ways to word them other than 'How in the hell did you do that?' so for now he would keep them to himself and instead he simply shook his head. "Don't worry about it, nothing in those machines looked very appetizing anyway," he said, standing up and stretching. He looked around the darkened hallway before glancing down at the girl again. "Do you wanna go get some actual food or something? My treat," once again surprising himself with the words that were coming from his mouth. He didn't really know of any places in Slateport that served halfway decent food but he was willing to bet that most of them were better than what he would find in those vending machines. "So what do you say?" he asked again, extending a sturdy hand to help her up if she so wished.

Riza smiled at Mike and nodded, a little surprised with the look he passed her way before leaving the pokecenter. She noticed that he looked rather tired, and after witnessing the strange tension between him and Mitsu it was no wonder. 'I wonder what that was all about,' she thought idly, looking around for her little psychic-type Pokemon.
After a bit of coaxing Riza somehow managed to get Ralts down from the vending machine she'd taken residence upon looking over she realized that Sneasel had fallen asleep in the chair she'd been sitting next to and she smiled, walking over to the dark and ice-type slowly as not to wake her up. "I guess I should put you in your Pokeball for once," she said a bit ruefully, holding up the red and white ball. In all the time they'd been together Sneasel had never gone inside her ball and Riza felt a little guilty about it as the Pokemon disappeared in a beam of red light, but her Pokemon needed the sleep and there was no way that she was going to lug her around all day. She put the sphere on her belt and looked up at ralts, who was perched happily on her shoulder. "Well, let's get out of here, I'm bored," she said. Ralts nodded at her and the two headed outside, wincing a little from the sudden change from cool, AC controlled climate to hot and blistering beach sun shining down on them from above. "I wonder where Mike went," she wondered aloud, looking around for him. She didn't see him at the moment, but that was fine. He seemed like he wanted to be alone right now and she totally could understand that.

As Crenu took a look at the Larvitar's stance, he had almost mistaken her attack for another Rock Slide, but the trail or rocks shooting upwards towards Hitmonlee proved him wrong. It appeared that he was again wrong about the battle potential of Kasiya and her pokemon, he was almost certain that he heard no command being issued which made the execution all the more impressive. However, he was not going to be caught off guard and had planned for a similar situation. Hitmonlee's muscles were taut and ready to spring, ready to move like lightning at the blink of an eye as soon as he received a command. The attack was coming in fast, but Crenu already had the next few turns planned out. "Hitmonlee, Revenge!" With that Hitmonlee reared back for an extra few seconds to make sure he'd get the most out of it and then sprung forward charging head on into the attack. Revenge? A risky move that was full of more danger than reward at times. Purposely taking damage for the purpose of explosive power, even Hitmonlee had to admit it a bit foolish right off the bat...foolish of cleaver. Perhaps there was something to sticking around with Crenu after all. Hotmonlee faltered slightly as he took a direct hit from the mystic stones, but as he took damage his legs began to glow and Hitmonlee powered through to his target. In an instant he launched towards Kasiya's Larvitar with his knee cocked back ready to deliver a crushing blow.

"There's only one reason for Zeus to be acting like this." Jason said as he looked over his shoulder to Zeus floating around erratically shooting off little sparks every now at then. Surely there was something off with the normally stoic and steady pokemon that was almost mechanical in nature. Something about that thought felt redundant, but Jason was more concerned with his pokemon than his over all correctness, Zeus was hurting and he knew the remedy.
"What is is? I've never seen Zeus behave like a total spazz before." Alex spoke with as much tact as always, but it would go unnoticed to both her and her incredibly oblivious companion. She had no idea what was wrong with Jason's Magnetite other than it was zipping around more than it normally did and was shooting sparks. It never shot sparks unless attacking or if Jason had fallen asleep mid sentence. "You got it figured out Mr. Researcher?"
Jason missed any hints of sarcasm or anything else in her voice, she had just posed him a question after all. "Well, those magnets I gave him are probably doing this. They boost the damage that electric types do, so I figure they work by drawing the power out and holding it for a greater yield when an attack is sent out. Zeus is still young, still a low level pokemon so I figure he isn't very good at handling that extra build up. All he's gotta do is get rid of some energy in a battle or something."
Alex wasn't really paying attention, but she nodded like she was. "So you wanna battle?"
"Naw, I need a new opponent. Like, a wild pokemon or something. You know, change it up a bit. I'm gonna go search for some pokemon to battle, you wanna come?"
"Tempting offer Jason, but I really should get back home. I've gotta get ready for the beach party thats in a couple days. Oh, are you gonna make it down so Saleport for the party Jason?"
"Naw, not just yet anyway. I figure I should do some more traveling if I want to be a good researcher, I don't think a beach party will help much."
"Well alright, maybe we'll meet each other again someday. Take care Jason, you to Zeus." Alex said with a smile as she ran back to Verdanturf. She had her own things to worry about. Jason waved back and was also on his way to searched for wild pokemon to battle and observe.

Adamantine raised her arms up in a defensive manner as Hitmonlee closed in on her after taking a good hit from her Ancientpower. She grit her teeth and braced for impact, growling when she felt the Pokemon's strong limb slam into her stomach, sending a sharp pain through her body. It faded quickly and she shook it off, realizing it hadn't been as bad as she'd anticipated, partially due to the defensive boost she'd just received. Kasiya watched the exchange carefully, stealing a quick glance Crenu's way - perhaps the Hitmonlee wasn't as experienced as she'd thought he was. Either way it didn't mean that she could let her guard down as she was still at a huge disadvantage here. "Fight back with a Brick Break," Kasiya commanded, able to push her wet hair from her eyes now that the rain had let up. It was good to feel the sun on her cool skin again and she welcomed the rays with a grin. Ada crouched low to the ground, an impish grin not unlike the one her trainer wore prevalent on her face. She let out a sharp growl as she thrust her fist upwards, hoping to catch the stomach of the lanky fighter, eager to let him know that she was stronger than she looked.
Nova was also eager to prove herself even as another wild Scratch attempt missed Shocker by, well, several feet. So far the baby Charmander hadn't grasped the idea that her opponents could move and dodge, and her skill in anticipating movement like this was lacking, if not non-existent altogether. The Raichu, while amused by the baby's lack of battling skill, found herself to be a little impressed by the determination Nova was showing. With more practice, she was certain that her newest teammate would find her own place on Kasiya's roster. "Chuu," she called out to Nova. Okay, so maybe taking care of the baby wasn't as bad as she thought it was. Nova puffed up her chest and ran at Shocker again, her claws raised and ready to strike. Shocker jumped up and out of the way, not wanting to be on the receiving end of those claws and also not wanting to accidentally paralyze the baby with her Static. Nova huffed angrily but missing did not deter her, and once again she prepared to attack.
=-=-=-=-= Oblivious to the banter between Ann and Ampersand Jaeshan just smiled at Robin. "It's the way I was brought up," he said, making sure she was seated comfortably before sitting down in the chair next to her. While Robin was probably feeling a little awkward in just her bathing suit Jaeshan knew just how it was - he was bare-chested at the moment and it wasn't until he saw an older woman staring (or was it ogling...?) at him that he realized it, and quickly yanked his shirt from before out of the bag and pulled it on. Now that he felt much less embarrassed he picked up the menu and gave it a once-over. "Well, it depends on what you want to eat, really," he said, deciding he wasn't up for anything overly fancy. "I think I'm going to get some Fettuccine Alfredo," he said after only a moment of thought. It had been a long time since he'd had some that was actually any good and he hoped that this place wouldn't disappoint. "What are you in the mood for?" he asked, turning to the redheaded girl.
Ann glanced over the menu quickly, not really certain about what she wanted. There wasn't a scrap of Italian food that she did not like so it always made choosing a pain. "Good choice, Jaeshan," she said after the blonde boy had announced his decision, and she smiled a bit at the interaction between him and Robin. It was very cute to watch and it very much reminded her of a certain situation she was in, say oh, ten or so years ago. "I think I kind of want seafood," she said idly, tapping the fork against the table in an erratic rhythm. She hastily picked out two dishes with shrimps and scallops and told the waiter her choices before leaning back in her chair. She couldn't remember the last time she'd just relaxed like this, and she figured she'd better enjoy it while it lasted.
