After a decent while, all of the items within the bag had been equally divided amongst them until they had consumed enough to not be hungry anymore. Hitsu set the back with the rest of the contents, along with Mitsu's share, in the middle of them all for later. If they still had a ways to go, it would be best to make sure they had enough food set aside for another helping or two.
Hitsu looked to Mitsu again worriedly, but didn't say anything. Hopefully it would cool when the sun went down, and she would feel a bit better. Hopefully Riyo and Tobi were safe and well... Hopefully they would find a way out of this somehow.
All Hitsu could really do right now was hope.

As then evening elapsed into dusk and finally dusk into night, the temperature dropped just as promised. At first it was a welcome relief from the heat. A cool breeze whipped up into the wagon offer a long awaited comfort from the heat of the day. However, as the night grew on the temperature began to plummet into freezing temperatures.
And as if like an on switch, as soon as the temperature dropped Mitsu was finally awake, up and about, finally feeling better. As the temperatures dropped into freezing she seemed to be at her most comfortable. "It feels so nice now," she breathed amused by her breath that formed in the cold air. She had finally sat up to take part of her share of the food from earlier.
"Speak for yourself," Neko hissed through chattering teeth. "I can barely feel my limbs anymore." True a blanket had been thrown over him at one point, but it offered no real solace from the cold.
------
As soon as Riyo made some noise, Tobi's head snapped in her direction and like a schizophrenic he changed from super pissed to happy in an instant. Bounding over to the blonde feline, Tobi lunged at her to lick her face happy to see one of his pack. He had been afraid he would never see any of them again.
Realizing that Riyo had just helped him the boy looked at her in a slightly embarrassed manner. "Err...umm...thank you." The other men in the carriage would have no doubt let him be attacked by the dog, and would have only stood by and laughed.

On the other hand, Blade now was the one not doing so well. The thief was huddling where he sat, shivering from the chilly air. He really wished that his coat hadn't been taken. More than that, he wanted to have or make a fire, but the magical wards prevented him from doing anything of that sort.
"Definitely.. doesn't feel good.." he muttered in a half response to Inu.
Closing his eyes, he tried to focus on other things, hoping it would make him feel less cold but it didn't work too well. His fingers were numb too, adding to his discomfort. But hopefully they wouldn't be traveling much longer in freezing desert, else he may find himself in deeper trouble soon.

As the sun set on the cruel desert, Atticus let out a soft sigh. The cold, he could deal with.
At least, that was what he thought. Until the temperature continued to plummet. How could it go from so hot to so cold in such a minimal amount of time? This was like... The ultimate punishment for a sin he wasn't even aware he'd committed.
"L-lemme guess... All you men think it's too gay to huddle up for warmth, Correct? R-rather die than trade in your m-masculinity for a night?" He asked while shivering and glanced around the party.
----
As Tobi turned to assault her with doggy kisses, Riyo smiled. It was good to see a familiar face too. She could sympathize. Carefully, she brought her hands up to give him a nice pat on the head.
And when the boy spoke up, Riyo just waved at him. No need to thank her. All in a days work, she supposed.

Looking at Atticus Neko gave a bit of a nod. "You would be correct in assuming that. Though I have no problem huddling up with Hitsu to keep warm." He smiled a bit despite himself.
Mitsu on the other hand seemed fairly content despite how the others felt. The cold air was refreshing and something she hoped would last.
"No need ta worry, we'll be in Nocktow soon enough," Tessa called from the front.
"Great...so looking forward to that," Neko said sarcastically.
-----
After Riyo had been found Tobi stayed close to her side. As the night grew colder he curled up beside her to keep her warm. He was doing alright himself...he had a lot of fur. Shifting a bit he laid his head in her lap looking up at her with big hopefully eyes. He really wanted to know when they were going to find the others but there was a huge language gap between them. Darn human breeds and not learning to speak properly.

Shivering where he was, Blade just ignored Atticus's question. There wasn't really any good way to answer it seeing how he didn't care for either outcome. That aside, he was starting to feel rather fatigued right now.
To an extent, he was relieved to hear they were reaching the city soon, due to the fact that it would mean warmth. Or at least it should if the traders didn't want them to die of hypothermia.
So, without saying a word, he kept his eyes shut. He wanted to try and get some rest, hoping to pass the time as well as endure the freezing temperatures along the way.

Looking at Blade Mitsu decided to investigate. Like Hitsu, she had managed to get her hands in front of herself but it was still rather awkward to move around. "Blade is sick?" He seemed to feel just as well as she felt during the day in the heat, but now it was cold. Reaching out a hand she made to place it on his forehead to see if he had a fever, her hands unusually warm for as cold as it was outside.
"Blade's not sick, he's cold," Neko retorted. "We're all cold."
"I'm not cold," Mitsu replied, blinking at Neko almost confused as to why he would be cold.
"Well, I determined long ago you weren't normal," Neko seemed almost frustrated for some reason but kept to himself after his reply.

Normally, Blade would feel a little warmer than most humans, but he would have felt fairly cool right now. As he felt something hot against his forehead he opened his eyes some to see Mitsu sitting by and looking a bit worried. The warmth from her hand felt nice but it was short lived.
"You're lucky then... and don't worry about me," he mumbled before going ahead and closing his eyes again, "Just tired and cold..."
As long as travel didn't get prolonged in this cold for any sort of reason, there probably wouldn't be any need for worry. There wouldn't be a great deal of what could or should be done anyway in the case that things did take longer than they should.

Well, this wasn't what had been expected. Not at all. Cool, maybe, but both Yuki and Hitsu felt half frozen once the temperatures had dropped. So much for thinking that their forest was cold in the autumn, it felt like they'd went straight from midsummer to the dead of winter in a matter of hours.
At Neko's suggestion, Yuki probably would have kicked him, had his sister not actually obliged. He frowned, but didn't protest when she had quickly moved over to wedge herself in between the two of them. Body warmth was welcome right now, and Yuki didn't want her getting sick in this cold. "Don't get any ideas," He warned, looking to Neko pointedly.
"We've got to keep warm somehow..." Hitsu said. Neko had declined Atticus' offer, and she didn't much care for that. "There's nothing wrong with huddling together, not when we've got no choice if we want to keep from getting sick or worse..." She muttered to him, hoping that he would reconsider. "He would try to help you if you needed it, you know."

"What?" Neko looked to Yuki in a curious manner. "Do you expect me to cope a feel? With what might I add..... my hands," Neko jiggled the bindings that kept his hands firmly above his head as if to make a point. "Are where you can see them."
Furrowing her brows Mitsu looked at Blade oddly before just doing as he said and leaving him be. He seemed cold but maybe he would be alright.

Atticus wasn't about to wait for an invitation, he scooted his skinny little butt over and huddled next to whoever was close to him. Didn't give two shits whether it was male or female. He was a doctor. Sexes didn't matter to him in the least... And, well, the fact that he lacked all emotion helped in that too.
-------------
Riyo watched the dog silently as the night grew colder, managing to find a way to pet him with both hands. He was like a big, warm blanket. And, if she wasn't paranoid about being watched, she probably would've talked to him about how she missed everyone else. Maybe ponder about wherever they're going. She didn't expect him to understand, but the fact that she had someone who'd listen was enough to satisfy her.

It might have been a good idea to bunch up with the others, but Blade didn't feel like moving a whole lot at all. So he just stayed where he was and tried to conserve the rest of his strength. One thing he knew for certain was that today really was not a good day for him, or for the others, at all.
Eh.. maybe things will get better later...
Shivering, he just let out a frosted sigh.

Finally after a little while of activity Mitsu grew tired. She let out a yawn to indicate she was sleepy and looked around to see who she should curl up next to. Normally she would sleep next to Hitsu, but she was currently wedged in between Yuki and Neko. Atticus was still a little scary to her, though he seemed nice enough. So that left Blade. He was all by himself at the moment, so maybe he wouldn't mind?
Quietly Mitsu scooted her way over and sat next to him. She examined his face for a moment trying to decide if his eyes were just closed or if he was asleep himself. Shrugging, she gave up on deciding and leaned against Blade's side letting out another quiet yawn before quickly falling asleep. She was tired after today so sleep came quickly and as she drifted off her body seemed to heat up all the more to keep her warm during her inactivity.

It wasn't long before he felt something warm again, though this time it was kind of leaning against him. And again Blade opened his eyes slightly to see Mitsu there. A quick glance around the cage told him that the others have bundled up with one another as well.
He wasn't sure if it was just because he was freezing but Mitsu's body felt very warm, if not hot right now. Not that he minded. Smiling weakly, he made a mental note to thank her when he had the chance, then reclosed his eyes to rest again.

A few hours later the caravan of slave traders and their new cargo arrived at the city of Nocktow. Despite being in the middle of the desert it was a rather large place surrounded completely by a high wall made of earth. No doubt this place had been created by a number of earth magic users. Even the housing was nothing more than earth and sand forming the huts and buildings that lined the streets.
The late hour seemed to mean nothing to these people as they hustled around the streets going from one building to the next. More than just a few looked rather shady passing unseen items in the shadows to one another and talking in whispers.
At least it was warm here, the streets were lined with lit torches and bodies making the cold night air only slightly cool.
"Welcome ta the city o' thieves," Tessa called back into the wagon with a smile. "This will be yer new home fer a while."
