As he heard the word come out of her mouth, a spark of interest came to his eyes.
"That,my dear girl, is the singlr most amazing book ever written! "
He laughed at how much of a loser he was sounding like, but didn't much care.
" the movie was kick a**, and the books were even better!"

Heather gave a silent chear and smiled, "They both have thier special querks."
It suddenly occered to her that he just admitted to reading a book that alot of people consider to be geeky.
"You do get more of what happened in the books. But you don't see much of the relation between Aragorn and Arwen except by mention."
An awkward expression came to her face, "It took me a long time to read the second book. That was because I was putting too much thought into the place that was being discribed. After I stopped doing that I was able to injoy it more."
A smile came to her lips, "I know someone that put the map of Middle Earth onto a peice of wood. Along with thier own art on the places. That was back in the days when it wasn't considered geeky to be a Lord of the Rings fan. In fact the group Lead Zeplen did a song that had a verse about Lord of the Rings."
OOC: Lets wait for everyone else to get back. It seems awkward that Heather and Sawyer be the only ones talking.

((sorry sweatdrop I believe I shall put an alliteration in there somewhere...in my law seminar, my group put an alliteration as every title of the power-point slide. Things like Questionable Query, Other Opportunities, Pressing Problems and so on and so forth. And Yes, I was highly amused and slightly giddy when Sayid showed Shannon the house...now I'm sad)) Claire felt a rush of relief when Boone appeared at the edge of the clearing. Letting out a breath she hadn't known she'd been holding, she waited as he made his way quickly to her. The fading light caught his eyes, making them brighter than usual if it was possible. Claire had the silly idea that she might swoon for a moment and then chided herself.
"You look beautiful." The warm press of lips against her cheek and then something was slipped into her hands. " And these are for you." She glanced down with surprise at the bundle of beautiful blooms. They were big jungle flowers, vibrant in color and exotic looking.
"Thanks..." She whispered with a smile and on impulse curled her hand around the back of his head and pulled him in for a quick kiss before grabbing him by the hand and leading him towards the table.
Now with the six seated, they all began to eat. Sayid was feeding a piece of papaya to Shannon. Claire chewed on her bottom lip thoughfully.
"This is beautiful." She said finally, her australian accent somehow more pronounced than normal.

"So do you have anyone back home? I mean like family and stuff?" Charlie asked Ava. There was a hidden meaning in his words. He really did like Ava, like he once liked Claire.....
The was silence while Charlies thoughts drifted from Ava to Claire and back again. Then Charlie noticed that Ava never answered his question, so he added, "I mean you don't have to answer if you don't want to, it is kind of personal."

Ronnie was walking back to the caves idily playing with a stick in her hand. She looked down and noticed Jennifer sleeping. Bending down she gentely poked her with the stick."Wake up sleeping beatuty." she softly spoke.

Jenifer was back home with her parents it was Christmas and her whole family was there. She had just given her mom the gift she found on her trip. As she sat back down on her chair their was a sharp pain in her stomach. She hunched over. A voice, some where, said "Wake up sleeping beatuty."
Next thing Jenifer knew, she was on her back and her family and Christmas had faded into Ronie's face and the ruf wall of the caves. Jen didn't want to be here she wanted to be with her family. She rolled over and tried to renter her dream.

In a desperate attempt to break the scilence, Sawyer turned to Sayid.
" So Sayid, what do you do in the real world?" He brushed the hair out of his face, and forced a smile.

Sayid turned from Shannon, slightly shocked that the southerner was talking to him willingly. " I...I was in the military." He said finally. "Communications officer." He added as an afterthought. No need in telling them that a part of communication was getting people to communicate. " And you? Are you a criminal?" He jested, making a referral to one of their many fights.

Ronnie poked her with the stick again. "Come om get up you lazy bum!" she said. Jen had just rolled over and Ronnie wasn't going to let her sleep when she wanted to go on an adventure with her.

Sayid raised an eyebrow when Sawyer didn't answer and feared he had misjudged the situation.
" Criminal or not, he was invited to this dinner as a guest." Shannon interrupted before nibbling on a small piece of fish. It went without saying that everything on the make-shift table was finger food. No one had thought to assemble any of the untensils saved from the wreckage.
The sound of the waterfall chimed pleasantly in the background and she thought briefly of her and Sayid's time in the cooling pool earlier. A blush spread to her cheeks and she grinned to herself.

Oh great, thought Heather, wonderfull question to ask my date. Is he a criminal? That's all I need to be hearing is weather or not he's a bad man or not.
Heather poked at her food and gave Sayied a look.

Instead of tactfully avoiding the look that Heather had launched in his direction Sayid decided to stare right back at her. He had no idea if this would annoy her more but he wasn't one used to backing down.

'The jerk,' thought Heather. One of the disadvantages of being scikick is knowing things. While people may think that it's a big advantage, it can be annoying to be able to know what a person is doing. Heather rolled her eyes at him. No point in going into a staring contest.
