Only time it's worth argueing about is to understand why something someone did worked. For example one of my friends recently in a fight charged up his most powerful attack over a series of posts. Now this attack is basicly compressed air blasted, such as in a concussion blast, but stronger. His opponent tried to protect himself with a wall of fire. The fool then tried to argue that the resulting compressed air exploding wouldn't hurt him. Sometimes the means by which someone does things needs to be questioned.

Another time it become important is that different systems have different draw backs, something people often times forget about.

Some people are just stupid though.

Melting candy is good. Melting ice cream too. But thermites wouldn't be needed for those.

I've got more free time than I thought, so I'm here to help. I can't say how sorry I am for leaving you all hanging, and I have to thank Mooo, Jello, and everyone else who helped out and stuck around to keep this thing alive. I have to take back what I said about this being pointless, too, and how people only win in tournaments through technicalities and judge decisions. Didn't mean it. From the get-go I wanted to eliminate factors like that, but if something comes down to a dispute and a decision has to be made, or if someone times out, then that's just how it is. My goal was for this to be fun and exciting, and with some of the new match-ups in these next rounds, I think it still is. If anyone's upset about a ruling or how this has progressed, the most I can offer are my apologies and the hopes that you'll move on without too much bitterness and find a better place/tournament to roleplay in.

I cleaned up some of the OOC in all of the boards except Commerce, and there are several fights in there that seem to have gone over the time limit. I'm obviously not on top of anything right now, so I don't know if there are disputes or decisions pending for those matches or what, but if there aren't, then I guess they can be closed.

If you need to contact me, I'd prefer if you did it over PMs instead of AIM (or just make a thread right in here). The other mods have just as much a right to make a ruling and everything else as I do, and are probably even better, so listen to them and be cool.

And, I'm slightly disappointed. I was expecting a fun match from Cleric Pei/"Number 66", and since the guy's been signed on.. every day, I figured he'd post. But, he'll be timing out soon if he doesn't get a post in. And while I'm definetely not above using the timeout as a means of victory, still bugs me a tad that I may miss out on what looked to be a potentially-decent match. --;

Ah well. He's got time yet.
