Oy, and I don't neccisarly think they were WATCHING. More like someone saw by accident and couldn't keep thier mouth shut.
As Cid proves by screaming s**t several times in a row, FFVII is no kids game.

Instant gratification is all right with me. X3 And some are movies while the games are for different platforms, yes? Perhaps they''re just trying to spread the infection/obsession~
Square knows where the money is. FFVII is the best-loved of all the Final Fantasies as far as I can tell, and it''s all thanks to Aeris dying. That just shocked f***-all out of the FFans and tied their heartstrings to the game with a Gordian-level knot. The first Final Fantasy to go from pixels to polygon and FMV inserts, the first Final Fantasy for the newer consoles, and then WHAM! Heroine death. We never had a chance. XD

/Hardcore VII FFangirl Only reason I like it is cause Aeris = Favorite character and also is the character my dad named after me. I hated where she died ;-; Made me cry, if I didn't like the character so much, I'd hate the game for that one moment XD

Oi, when Aeris died I ripped the game out of my PS and threw it in the trash. ^^; Took me a while to decide to start playing again. After I got over it I was hooked, of course. XD I've played it about four times completely and a few other times incompletely just so I could confirm certain storyline sequences and character lines.
I have one save file where I'm at the Crater and every character of mine is maxed out in ability and experience and has one full set of Master Materia plus an absolutely ridiculous number of summon materia. I also have a save file where I still have Aeris and she's been developed to the point where she has all of her special attacks. *laugh*
And then I have a save card with the game saved before every major plot point. A must have for a FFVII fanfic writer. ^^;
A friend and I created two Turk OCs to accompany Turk!Vincent to Nibelheim. The freaky thing is that they're somewhat similar in design to the Before Crisis playable characters. ^^; The male is a messy redhead with brown eyes and the girl is a platinum blonde with jade-green eyes. I heard Twilight Zone music when I first saw the Before Crisis artwork.

I never could figure out how to play too well and I got scared from all the monsters cause I wasn't that old at the time (I think I was 8 ) so I just stayed and would watch my dad play as if it was a movie XD I enjoyed watching it so much and to this day, I still enjoy watching people play games with a storyline or a goal.

That was so pretty~ heart Pretty limp so far as movies go in general, but there was enough eye candy and computerized awesomeness for me to overlook any lack of plot, dialogue, and character development. The lighting effects on the antagonist's face when he was ejecting bullets! *0*

yep, that was the one biggrin and i agree with u on all counts.. on the pretty graphics/animation and also about the sub-par plot... i wasnt all too sold into the idea of the alien ghosts who incapacitate livin beings by passing through them domokun

Alright, I was GOING to jump in and correct you all with the FF VII stuff, but meri sorta beat me to it. xp
When aerith died in my game, I was just: "Oh. Whatever. She sucked in battle anyway." And then I continued on. XD
See, 9 times outta 10, I'll end up crying a little if I feel a connection with the character or liked them a lot. Didn't happen in this case. =P

Noob that I was, all unaware that such a thing as fanfiction existed, when I first played FFVII I renamed all of my characters from the system defaults.
Cloud = Derek.
Tifa = Marie.
Aeris = Rose.
Barrett = (I'm not even going to say it...half the world's population renamed Barrett to this and I'm ashamed to be one of them.)
Cid = Jack.
Cait Sith = Buffy.
Nanaki = Chakotay.
Vincent = Nicholas.
Yuffie = Amy.
