((I'm on, and I'm just making my introduction. Oh, and might I note that the "Daily Show" is very healthy. ^.^))
The wan moon lay waxing within the sky, as the day took a tenacious hold upon progression--moving steadily toward midnight. The sun had been scant for a few hours now, and any remnants of its strength penetrated through the moon--which was granted its potency for the night. The pale glimmer of the moon besmirched the surface of a placid lake, one, which sat amongst towering boskage and woodland creatures. Mitara traipsed along the grass that surrounded this lake, her emerald hues taking in the full and cool visage of the pallid moon. She hummed a light tune, walking erectly as her left arm hung at her side, and her right bent against her chest--as the corresponding hand grasped a woolen pouch. Her arms were nearly bare, as her sleeves fell short at her shoulder blades. The feathery material that lay within her baggy pants cushioned her legs; in contrast, the pants exhibited a tight fit that appeared uncomfortable to the wandering eye. Lace-less shoes graced her feet, and gently grazed the emerald grass beds that reposed below her lengthy body.
Her unruly obsidian hair blew restlessly within the wind as she walked; her body directed her to a destination that had been long awaited after two days of steadfast traveling. Any could have told by the elated grin on her face that she was undoubtedly overjoyed and excited. This would be her first sample of freedom, a freedom that hopefully guaranteed partial safety from the Merdosa clan--the clan that sought her people's innate contract with animal spirits. Something that would mean death to those who lost their Sangion eyes. Such a fate was horrifying, especially in Mitara's eyes; she would always fall ill at the news of yet another death--it had been even worse when her father had been slain.
The memory brought a shiver down Mitara's spine, but she quickly shook it off as she began to part from the fresh side of the lake. A dusty and stone covered path was soon unveiled beneath a wispy willow; obscurity befell it, though it was clearly visible due to its contrast in color. Mitara made a direct approach, her smile now renewed and her posture fortified by her unwavering confidence. Even with this strength within her stance and disposition, hackneyed nostalgia continued to course fervidly through her mind--it had remained as an unforgettable spirit for the past few days of her journey. Worry and longing would not allow her hidden anxiety to die down.
It seems strange... I've gone pretty far from home now. I won't be able to return for quite a while, so, I hope that the village will remain safe and strong. I... I hope that Itaku will be all right too, now that we can't see each other--he's at another school, and at a great distance from this one. And... Riku, my mother...
Her smile grew stale as her pace retarded to a minimal extent. She treaded much more slowly now, and she did so for a while, until finally halting at the verge of the dusty path. She stood, unflinching as her smile waned--a sullen expression stood in place of it. And just as the smile died, so did her dulcet tune. A zephyr came and went, offering her fair cheeks a gentle kiss--almost in hopes of assuaging her pain--, but she was left without any motivation; thus, she didn't smile. "No," she quietly murmured, "I mustn't let this get to me. They'll be all right; I'm more likely to fall under these troublesome thoughts if they continue." Solemnly, she closed her eyes, and her chest rose greatly as a single breath filled her lungs.
I must have faith. I need to focus on my purpose here; I'm here to learn and train. And... I'm here so that my Sangion eye will awaken.
Moments passed as she stood there, holding onto the single breath, which was held captive within her lungs. Her mind browsed over what had to be done; she knew what had to be made prominent with her stay at the academy. Success was her main objective, and that was all she needed to know. Thus, with a liberating sigh, she released the dull air from her lungs, and her emerald optics soon opened and took in the passageway. This path met a gargantuan dojo--less than fifty feet away. Mitara's eyes did not glance towards the dojo, but only the path that led up to it. She would take things slowly, or at the pace that suited her best.
Her lips gradually took hold of her former smile as she kicked up into a light sashay. It would not take her long to reach the edifice.

Naruto walked threw the door with a white fox on his head, it seemed it was sleeping from the travel. "Wonder if anyone's around." He shrugged as he walked over to one of the couches and sat. Taking Koori off his head, and next to him on the couch as it continued to sleep.

Seph puffed on the cigarette between his lips. He pulled it away from his lips and stared at the dying butt. He flicked it away, into the grass, and turned. He opened the dojo doors and entered, making his way to the couch and sitting.

NarutoNineTails Naruto looked to his side to see a stranger, he blinked at him curiously. "Umm..? W-who are you?" He asked with a question mark appearing over his head. His eyes moved casually over to the figure that spoke to him. He stood and looked at him. He didn't look old. Probably still in his teens. No threat. He sighed and sat back down. "Sephiroth." He responded, digging in his pocket for the pack of cigarettes. He didn't pull them out, though. He forbade himself from smoking indoors.

He payed little attention to the boy and his pet, the weather channel was informing him that it would snow tommorrow.

"Woohoo! Snow!! We had a snowfight at HUV dood. It was teh awsome." The white fox seemed to be annoyed by all the noise from the TV and his owner. Koori jumped off of Naruto's lap and behind the couch, where it could sleep in peace. "Actually, if it wasn't for that forest fire, I wouldn't have found Koori." He added with a slight yawn.
