After I had gotten my Shinx I felt I could take on anything. I found a mission that might be a little challenging.

MISSION- Shiny researchers
There's a new lab that can make your pokemon shiny! So go try it out!!

Money: 300-1000

Being smart I hovered around on my aqua bike DX until I found the most scientific looking place. When I went in, I saw a machine and a scientist.
“Is that the machine that makes pokemon shiny?” I asked. He just looked at me like I was crazy and replied,

“Yes, it is. But how do you know that?”
“I have my ways.” I lied.
“Well I am not letting you use my precious machine … unless you win in a battle against me.”
“Ok, I accept.”
“Single battle. First to lose 3 pokemon loses. No switching pokemon in the middle of battle.”

I sent out my pokemon, “Go Totodile!”
“Ok then, I send out squirtle!” It was a shiny squirtle. It figures though.
“Totodile, start with rage!” the totodile ran full force into squirtle. 62 to 52.
“Squirtle, use withdraw!” the squirtle sucked its head in its shell and rose it’s defense.
“Totodile, rage!” 52 to 45.
“Withdraw!” the squirtle already had its head in side its shell but its defense rose more.

“Rage!” 45 to 41
“Now use tackle!” the squirtle was spinning toward totodile. When it got close enough the squirtle’s head jolted out and hit totodile. 62 to 55.
“Rage!” the totodile was running and about to hit, but missed because the squirtle jumped.
“Tackle!” the squirtle came down fast and did extra damage, it was also critical hit. 55 to 36.

“Scratch, then rage!” the totodile scratched the squirtle on top of it, then rammed it with rage. 41 to 35.
“Tackle!”
“Rage!” both of them went toward each other and rammed. Squirtle – 35 to 31. Totodile – 36 to 29. Both of the pokemon were breathing heavily.
“Rage!” I yelled. 31 to 27.

“Iron tail!” the squirtle’s tail turned metal and hit totodile. 29 to 22.
“Where did it learn to do that?” I yelled.
“TMs. They come in handy.”
“Rage!” the totodile rammed the squirtle. 27 to 23.

“Now use your last move, ice beam!” the squirtle shot an icy blast from it’s mouth and froze totodile in a thin sheet of ice. 22 to 12.
“Use water gun to melt the ice!” the totodile, although frozen, heard the command and melted the ice by it mouth.

“Iron tail!” the squirtle’s tail turned metal again and hit totodile. Totodile’s face wasn’t frozen any more. 12 to 3.
“Use water gun to melt the rest of the ice!” the totodile aimed upward and the water landed on the ice and it started melting.

“Before it defrosts, use tackle!” the squirtle delivered the final blow.
“Return totodile! Go shinx!” Shinx has two abilities. One is intimidate which lowers the opponents power and rivalry where it raises its own power if its enemy is the same gender. The squirtle was a boy.
“Shinx!” the shinx yelled getting ready for its first battle. The squirtle’s defense went to normal.

“Tackle!” the shinx ran into squirtle. 23 to 16.
“Ice beam!” the squirtle let out an icy blast, but missed and left ice everywhere.
“Tackle, and use the ice to speed you up!” the shinx used the ice to speed up and rammed squirtle. 16 to 4.
“Tackle!” the squirtle used tackle and missed.
“Tackle!” the squirtle fainted, but the scientist sent out his next pokemon.

“Go, Magnemite!”
“Tackle!” I yelled. The shinx skated across the ice and rammed Magnemite. 55 to 43.
“Tackle!” magnemite attacked and hit. 55 to 48.
“Tackle!” 43 to 31.
“Thunder to melt the ice!” the scientist commanded.
“Tackle!” as the shinx skated across the ice, thunder was following it, melting the ice. 31 to 19.

“Tackle!” the scientist yelled. 48 to 41.
“Tackle!” 19 to 12.
“Tackle!” 41 to 34.
“Tackle!” critical hit. The magnemite fainted. The scientist sent out his next pokemon.

“Go, vulpix! Use fire blast!” the vulpix sent flames shooting out of its mouth. 34 to 9.
“Tackle!” 55 to 48.
“Ember!” shinx fainted.
“Return Shinx! Go growlithe! Use bite!” the growlithe bit Vulpix. 48 to 39.

“Secret power!” the Vulpix used something that looked like strength. 53 to 46.
“Bite!”
“Dig!” the vulpix went under ground before growlithe could bite it.

“Growlithe, jump on to a shelf!” the growlithe found the closest shelf and jumped on it, knocking all the books off. When the vulpix came up it slammed its head on the shelf causing damage to itself. 39 to 34. Then growlithe jumped off.
“Growlithe, bite!” I yelled. 34 to 25.
“Secret power!” the vulpix used the attack and did a critical hit. 46 to 32.

“Bite!” Growlithe did a critical hit. 25 to 6.
“Vulpix, use secret power!” 32 to 25.
“End this Growlithe! Use bite!” vulpix fainted. I called back growlithe.

“Well, you have beaten me,” said the scientist, “now you can use the machine on only one of your pokemon.”
“I choose Growlithe.”
“Put Growlithe in the machine.” I did so. Then he pulled a bunch of levers. It was five minutes until Growlithe came out shiny.
“Thank you.” I said before departure. I still felt like something was wrong.

From the last mission Shinx and Growlithe left a face print on a tree in the same spot, making it look like another pokemon. Then a random guy found it. He brought some friends to see it.
“See, I told you. A weird pokemon left a face print on this tree.” Said the guy.
“We should report this.” Suggested one of the friends.

*Looks at SC*
Me:Hey SC.How do you always manage to get in a tree?
*Waves*

Me:I wouldn't be surprised.
*Looks at Yuki's pokeball*
Me:* sigh* some pokemon just like to mess with your heads..

Me:It would take WAY too long to tell someone about it....
Sammy razz ip... stare
*Yuki pops out and walks behind a tree*
Yuki: ninja

Walks in the Pokemon Center whistling a familiar theme song and notices a written up mission in the Hoenn Region. Looks to see it Christian is around. He's no where in sight so I write a little post it for him:
Boss, is going to fail you because we are no longer in the Hoenn Region, try doing missions that require you to catch pokemon. You'll get some missions under your belt, and you'll get some cool pokemon added to your arsenal. Later, Kuro!!! biggrin
