I was just looking through the attack dex...and found mud sport.....why would any ground type pokemon learn this move. Its redundant. It raises electrical resistance but all ground pokemon take no damage from electric attacks anyways...
Non-ground types that learn it....
Krabby, Kingler, Mudkip, Zigzagoon, Linoone, Aniroth, Armaldo, Relicanth, Shellos.
9 pkmn out of 25 that learn it out in level up. Leaving 16 ground pkmn that learn it normally. And two of those 9 evolve into pokemon with the ground type.
I just don't get it.

I was playing the other day and battled a bellossom that had sunny day. Why, oh why, would you teach a grass type a move that powers up fire types?! This game sometimes doesn't make any sense....

This game sometimes doesn't make any sense.... Well the one useful thing a plant type would get from it is the non-charge time for solar beam. If the pokemon had it. Otherwise it wouldn't be useful at all.

Well, Sunny Day also triggers Chlorophyll, which is Bellossom's special ability. It's speed is doubled in Sunny Day conditions, hence it's usefulness. Sunny Day also causes a Pokemon using Synthesis to recover all their HP instead of the normal half. There are a few other abilities that rely on Sunny Day to work as well, like Leaf Guard, Flower Gift and Solar Power, I believe.

Airelesanya That being said, if anyone ever wants me to play an NPC for them to battle against for a change of pace, don't be afraid to ask. ^_^
Ooh I'd like to take advantage of that plz! <3 Let Katie's crazy Pokemon work off some more of that energy of theirs. >3
Yuu: Mundane? I think you need to look up the definition of that word. Your posts are far from mundane. O=<

Heyo, when I get back, can I say that Train traveled on back over to Kanto, and made her way to Pewter, since I've missed so much? Moving Leon'll be easy 'cause he just calls his parents and asks for a ride. : D xD;
I'd also like to know, if I'm allowed to, how to go about gettin' Leon a Ghastly. ^^; 'Cause I'm pretty sure there was somethin' about how, since the character he replaced had two Pokemon, he was allowed to get a second one, too...

*looks at websites* OHMYGOSH that is so funny! I was laughing really hard and my sister is staring at me.
My friend's mom is like that, I came to her house one time and she was like, "Oh you Melissa's friend yes? Such nice friend. With benefits. Friend with benefits." and I just stared at Melissa while she blushed. She asked her mom where she heard that, and her mom says "Those nice girls on tv" She pointed to the TV where Degrassi was on. lol It was so hilarious.
Anyways Yuu, you do need to look up the definition of the word mundane

DrakeEvancore So yeah it is fairly useful. Though it is a risk to use. A risk that's well worth it, many grass types benefit greatly from doubled speed. My Exeggutor never goes without it. As for Mudsport being learned by ground types, yes that may appear useless at first but it's mainly a supportive defense rather than a direct one. Throwing it out at the beginning of a match or something lets you keep out water and flying types with a bit more confidence later on in the match. After all there's always a good chance you'll be caught by surprise by a thunderbolting Starmie or stuff like that. Even still, I personally don't find much use for it because of my play style but I assume that may be it's intended purpose.

That's fine, I was gonna suggest you do something like that if you wanted anyway. And yes, I do remember telling you it was all right for Leon to get a Gastly. 3nodding
And Viiiiiii! Normal day-to-day activities or not, your posts are the polar opposite of mundane. your last one, with the banter between Rein and Sae had me laughing out loud. :3
Also if you pair up either a Fire-type or a Pokemon that knows a Fire-type move with that Grass-type, it can benefit as well and often help you to keep other pesky fire-users at bay, depending on how you pair 'em up. But then again, I prefer double battles to single any day. >w<
AND IN OTHER NEWS I finally beat Cynthia in my Platinum... after 5 tries and countless evil critical hits and several months of 'punishing' the game by not playing it, I won. I so happy. 4laugh
