Typhoon_Omi Firstly: If nobody cares about it, than why did Gelmax even try to counter it, save.. because it amuses him, as does bleeding children in 3rd world countries? domokun Because it's there. And because the children are bleeding, and cry for resolution. But he won't give it to them! crzycziri I think I may leave this tournament -- some one made Tacitus a ******** mod. Don't worry. I'm doing all the work. He's just there to pose for the camera and try his damndest to look pretty.

XD Well you did go through and set up all the threads, but I just think it looks better if its all from one person. >.> I've done a few things so far, I'm just usually too busy RPing in twelve places at once to do anything. XD

Onto another subject while it is floating through my head. Has anyone here heard anything about The Grand Tournament, which I just linked to? I've submitted my secondary character (as the rules disallow my primary: Tacitus), and it seems out of the 75 entrants only one or two come from Gaia. I was wondering if anybody here would like to change that. ^_^

Tacitus Like I told you on AIM, Moo did it. If you have a problem with that, talk to him. You just don't like me cause I won't let you tell me what my own characters are capable of. And thank you Victor, I'd hope I'm fairly intelligent, I'mma need it for something one of these days. Dunno what, but theres this odd tingling sensation at the base of my skull that tells me I will. XD Incorrect, I don't like you because you use techniques wrong when you try to go into planar psionics or simply psionics, it simply looks like you don't know what the ******** you're talking about. And no, I didn't like your ******** character because they're rediculous pieces of s**t. In other news, I'm facing Gammu. Scary.

My avatar's showing up as a catgirl to me. <=[
I've checked out The Grand Tournament a little but couldn't find any of the qualifying matches. I think I might enter though.
P.S. Now that I'm out of this tournament due to inactivity, I'll be looking to challenge some of the folks I had my eye on to exhibition matches.

I'm happy this match looks like it will actually happen. No fighting so far; it's been sad. Not that I have much PvP fighting experience, but I did come here for a reason.

And I've been considering on joining. ... But I've never mastered speed combat. You have any clue on how the Elite fights work (i.e. example)? confused

I don't really like their rules on things such as projectiles and the grappling and so forth.
And then I'm not really sure how they are setting everything up. Other wise I may join.

Typhoon_Omi Immunities are nonexistant. We only assume they are "immune". I've seen plenty of stories where a spirit whom a physical fist passes through, has an issue manifesting themself in that location, for example. And then, factor in the fact the melee attack may be reinforced by something else, and you've got.. nothing more than a conventional nigh-unpassable resistance to physical attacks. Not an immunity.
It's the equivalent of saying, a guy coated with fire is immune to fire itself. No, he is not unless specified on his internal structure, because if someone managed to light ablaze an open wound or gash - they may still be able to rise the inner, accustomed-to temperature of the organism, causing a disrupture in what most any living creature's body tries to maintain: homeostasis. While it probably won't hurt or kill said fire-coated being, it will still affect them. So, they're not really.. "immune" to the fire's affects, now are they? No. No they are not. Immune would mean they're literally.. not.. affected. Not hurt. Not wounded. Not disrupted, while we're at it. And that is completely possible. Physical immunities aren't always meaningless, and supernaturally-derived immunities (for example, whatever you may say about flame creatures, most mid-tier and higher fire mages are invulnerable to fire) ignore your post altogether. crzycziri Tacitus Like I told you on AIM, Moo did it. If you have a problem with that, talk to him. You just don't like me cause I won't let you tell me what my own characters are capable of. And no, I didn't like your ******** character because they're rediculous pieces of s**t. In other news, I'm facing Gammu. Scary. rolleyes First of all, there is NO definitive way to use planar techniques or other rare high-tier magics/psionics, because EVERYONE HAS DIFFERENT ******** SYSTEMS AND MECHANICS FOR THEM. I ******** laugh when people tell me I'm doing planar magic wrong. Second of all, "psionics" is entirely up to the interpretation of the RPer. Even to me, the difference between psionics and magic is mostly arbitrary.

I find their rules not too informative after a skim, and I dislike the rules of grappling horribly. The rules on projectiles seem silly as well. Then again, I don't get what's going on, and I probably would not be wise to jump into it in anycase.
All supernatural things are up to the player using them to interpret, of course. Each person will interpret each thing differently, regardless of there being preexisting definitions somewhere, or even suspicion of their reality. Even higher level technology/physics are left to interpretation in rp. Basically, if it's not fairly much common sense, it's bound to be different from person to person, and all you can do is try and work out the differences and find a middle ground with each person you confront/work with. I've only ever seen one example of a large number of people successfully using a single magic system in rp with absolute success, and their quite the exception. Impact will, unfortunately, be the only one I think has met them besides myself.
So basically I think I'm being long winded in saying I agree with what you said there, it being noted that I'm not entirely certain of the situation/background and going off a impression.

That is a very structured place to begin with. But even there I do believe they have differences.
