Skizzors Pi: I would say "probably," but.. I really don't know how nerdy my mom is. xd All I know is she can't remember all the different names for the same person. His knowledge of LoTR is scary. It's not just LoTR, but the whole world of it. I think it's cute. whee

He's just got so much useless trivia in his head, it's kinda scary. I'd put money on my Dad to win an LotR trivia thing as long as it's about the books and not the movies. He always gets mixed up on what they took out/changed in the movies.

[beginshamelessplug]By the way guild, I have created a DeviantArt account for myself in order to get back into writing. My goal for the new year is to write a page a day of creative work. I'm currently working on a short story, and will probably continue on short stories until I come up with a coherent plot for my next attempt at a book. I have one that I'm working on with a friend at the moment so that plot isn't for posting on DA lol. I've tried writing in the past and I'd get upwards of about 150 pages and then read the whole thing, realize it was crap and do something else lol. Or life would get in the way, etc.
Anyways, it's not awe-inspiring or anything, but given the amount of literate people we have here, I'm sure the constructive criticism would do nothing but help my writing. So, by all means, look up "Hindukel" on DeviantArt and take a look at the two pages (three in a few hours) I've written so far. I'd appreciate it. ^_^

So on America's Next Top Model, there's this Black girl who is all, "OH, I'm finally home" about being in South Africa and was all upset when the other Black girl got to open Nelson Mandela's old jail cell.... but the first girl didn't even know if Nelson Mandela was alive or dead. I don't get how you can say you're all about your cultural history and not even know if one of the most prominent figures is still alive.

So yeah ... I met Red Scully, the girl I've been harboring a great interst in for some time.
She was everything I already knew her to be. Plus a lot, lot more.
She never once mentioned anything about her boyfriend. (over a year since she first told me ... long story short, we were both interested, none of us said anything to each other, I finally do, lol random boyfriend) Don't really know if that means anything.
Going back to Japan Friday. At 8:00 in the morning.

Er, guys... it apparently didn't go all that well.
Ashram was kinda hoping that if there was any boyfriendage involved, it would be him. Hence the disappointment when he found out, apparently when telling her he wanted to go out with her.
He met her with high expectations of her, she exceeded them, and ended up already taken.
Ash, that sucks, but hopefully you've established yourself in her mind for future consideration. And if it doesn't happen with her, remember that there's someone out there for everyone and if you keep looking you'll eventually find them. I know this sounds awfully like a pile of mealy-mouthed platitudes right now, but I walked that road before finally meeting Luna, and so have many other men. With any luck you'll look back on this experience as a measure of the value of the relationship you'll eventually find.

I didn't want to focus on the whole thing about her having a boyfriend. Sorry, Ash, if I made you feel bad. sweatdrop

Aw darn it, I was rooting for him, so I read it as she had mentioned the boyfriend a year ago and didn't mention him during the visit. I actually think we humans have the capacity to couple with a lot of other people out there, but it's still a random walk finding someone who we really fit with. As a friend of mine said "I think I could love a lot of people that way, just not at the same time." (Not to say that others can't, kudos to those with hearts big enough to give the time, energy, support and commitment to multiple people in a fair and functional way.)
