Netsubo's heart beat faster. The pain increased as well.Her scream was caught in her throat.

"Mom?" Yuki asked, stepping forward. "Mom, can I try to heal you? I think that I could!"

Netsubo was able to control herself long enough to look up at Yuki and shake her head. The small movement caused her even more pain. She felt sick and started to fade from conciousness.

"I can't tell whether she meant yes or no... but I'm going to try," Yuki decided.
"Be careful," Mephistophiles sighed.
Faust slowly withdrew his sutured hands. "Go ahead and try, Yuki... otherwise, I'll have to..." he sighed. "Well, I don't know what I can do, down here..."

Netsubo tried to move away from Yuki. She didn't want to see him hurt too. He wasn't used to blood healing.

"Mom... I've always done what you said... but when you're hurt, I call the shots!" Yuki took out his crystal again. He was tired from what he'd contributed to Faust's healing, but it wasn't too bad.
Faust found himself holding Netsubo's hand.

A tear slipped down her face. Netsubo didn't want Yuki hurt. He was basically the only reason she was alive today.

"If there's anything I can do..." Faust started.
"I'll let you know if I need to borrow your energy," Yuki said. "But for now, just rest... you went through a lot, I'm amazed that you managed to stay quiet through all of that."
Faust shrugged. "You and Netsubo were too precious... I couldn't give away your location."

Netsubo tried to slip back into the blackness. She didn't want Yuki to do this.She wasn't worth it!

Yuki began the healing, Faust and Mephisto watching. He felt like he knew better what to do... only this wasn't like fixing something broken, as it had been with Faust. This was like trying to revive a fire that was quickly going out.

The darkness started to feel like a comforting wind around her. She tried to relax into it, but something was trying to pull her from it. She started to fight against it.

"I need some energy..." Yuki said. "Just to get started..."
Faust offered Yuki his hand. "Take mine... you gave me enough, I have plenty to spare."
Yuki looked doubtfully at Faust's pale face, but took his hand.

Netsubo felt the presence grow stronger. It was getting harder to resist. But the darkness felt so good! She didn't remember anything other than the dark.

"Just a little more," Yuki said, his eyes pleading with Faust.
"Take what you need," Faust said earnestly, sitting by Netsubo. "I don't want her to die." Yuki did so, trying to find the right balance between saving Netsubo and taking everything from Faust.

Netsubo felt the presence start to pull her away from darkness. She could see a bright light reaching for her. She couldn't get away from it, so she reached for it.
