Oh sweet Gaia! Marissa, you're huge! I knew that you could shapechange from when you came running down that hill a little while ago, but... Wow...
I don't know if you want to maintain that form for too long though, you'll likely draw attention.
**shakes off the shock of seeing a crinos that large unexpectedly, cracks his knuckles and heaves one of the crates over his shoulder after he was certain he could lift it.**
Ugh... Is it against contract to ask what's in here or do I just not want to know?
**Lanhie's body contorts slightly under the weight then steadies out, with him slightly larger and more muscular, giving him enough leverage to move the crate easier **
There, that's better.
**starts to follow Mackey**

::looks around at the slight burst of chaos and shock she caused, looks quite sheepish:: Sorry! ::she curves her shoulders down, as if trying to hide but it doesn't work and she follows the Mackey with the large red box, although a little slowly::

::It was about 6 hours or so but the cargo was finally...and completely moved. And a few boxes were even lugged back on. Return shipment and what not. After the final box was loaded the captain gave a sharp check on his checklist and ordered to the pilot to begin the takeoff sequence.
There were firm thank you's given by almost all the crew to the group with the exception of Mackey who seemed rather anti-social. Not especially emo just...alone.
The Airship Dock, and docking clamps released and with a loud rumble, the ship, which for all intents and purposes infact seemed to be a boat...laumched off into the sky. A set of rudders were released about 2 minutes into the flight and served as a set of 2 dozen or so wings to guide, and channel the ships motion.
Most of the crew went about their busy way. Cleaning, eating, sleeping, playing board games, playing video games, sparring, meditating. And aboard this yacht of a cargo vessel there seemed to be rooms for all of these things and...a few others that arent spoken in civilized conversation.
The trio would find themselves left to...venture off and do the same. No one particularly spoke to any of them except the occasional nod in the hallways. They had all seen stowaways come and go...some of them just didnt read the contract right.
About 5 minutes into the voyage Mackey would be seen making his way up to the bow of the ship and simply peering over the edge at the noon sun. The ocean was quiet, but maybe thats just what he was looking for.
The captain however made his way directly to the stern and sat down for a lovely cup of tea. Red tea. Which he seemed to lick as opposed to sip.
And the journey had begun.::

Ruuvan pulled up on the side of a dirt road near Latent, putting the H2 into neutral and killing the engine; he needed time to think. Fighting the Valkyres, not to mention having a bow appear, a boy resembling his old friend join him for a short period of time and voices now making their way into his mind was all taking its toll on the warrior's mind. Sure, the perks of working for RI, money and technology to name but two, couldn't contend with the curiousity surrounding his past and why he was sent to Gaia with nothing but his prized necklace, so there was something he needed to do. Picking up the carphone and dialing the number to Adele, Evan's main secretary, he waited for her to answer before speaking. "Hi, Adele. I't s Ruuvan Lassenger." He paused for a moment as she got herself sorted, "Look, I need you to tell Evan that something's come up and I've got some personal things to do. I'll get the stone to RI by tomorrow, but I doubt I'll be back for some time. Tell him thanks for everything and not to worry, I'll be back once I get sorted." And with that he hung up, placing the phone onto the cradle once he did.
Ruuvan turned around to look at the back seat, noticing the back door missing once again and his bow completely vanished from his belongings. What happened out there? he wasn't normally one to let things get on top of him, but he was so overloaded with what had happened lately that he just needed answers. In an attempt to console himself, Ruu pulled the chain from under his jacket, still around his neck, and looked at the golden links of the chain, hoping to find something within them to guide him to his past.

::The Necklace exploded, at least it looked like it and there he was....or rather...where was he?
The place was a blinding white like a flashbomb had just gone off in his eyes...yes eyes. As for this moment Ruuvan had two again. As his vision cleared he would see a view of a beautiful forest landscape. There were people below dancing and singing and generally enjoying themselves as the smell of roast pork drifted up from the spick below where the pig was being cooked.
What was this?
Slowly the imagine came better into view, Ruuvan was setting on the edge of small plateau, a chain shirt across his chest, a bow across his lap, and the night sky pushing a warm breeze past his face. For a moment it might have seemed like paradise. But there was an aire of familiarity...And there he was.
Just beside Ruuvan on this careful perch was another man. His navy blue hair blew in the wind around them, his broad sword was jammed into the ground beside him. And black leather armor he wore, flowed with his black boots and black pants....his skin was as pale as sin...and he looked at Ruuvan for a moment with a smile and spoke as he fiddled with something in his fingers...His fingerless gloves revealed stained fingernails, much like Ruuvans. His voice was warm, and yet laiden with some unspoken strain, or worry. He spoke to Ruuvan in the tone really only a close friend would...::
Its a beautiful view, isnt it?
::Was this a dream? A joke? An illusion? A lost memory?::

And while he was contemplating, the car phone rang again.
If he was expecting a call of some sort, this would be his line. If not, then whatever- he could ignore it. Either way, there was no doubt as to who the person was.

Sadly, the phone ringing in the H2 would remain unanswered, for Ruuvan was staring into the necklace waiting for something to happen, lost in its beauty and thought of his past, that was when it happened. "What the cra--!" That was all Ruuvan was able to say before he was engulfed by the light and thrown into this strange place.
In that instant, his attire changed from modern combat gear into a chain vest and matching armour pieces, all seeming rather familiar to this person, but he couldn't quite place it. That delightful smell of cooking pork brought him to his feet, instantly staring down at the plateau he was standing on, then just as quickly to the figure standing beside him. Surely it could be, could it? Maximos, a person he had not seen in a damned long time now stading beside him in this place, but where did he come from, or to ask a better question, where was Ruuvan now? "View?" Ruu querked a brow at his seemingly normal question, turning his head slightly to look out to the green plains and people below him, "Where are we, Maximos?" Wasit real, was it fake? He really didn't know.

Hehhahahaa
::Maximos broke a bit of a chuckle and lightly punched Ruuvans shoulder.::
Thats not funny Ruu, as if we'd ever leave Aria...especially like this.
::The somewhat somber look on his face was drifted away for just a moment as he laughed at Ruuvan's joke. But it crept its way back across his features. He took a deep breath soaking in the smell of pork and party, and spoke again.::
Aria...we've both scraped so close to the edge of death for this place...I have wonder...what happens the time we charge to the edge of death's door...and fall in? I dont think I could stand to lose any of you.
::He looked down amongst the dancers, in particular a woman with purple hair and leaves flowing within, tiger like eyes...he smirked.::
Angeltears says I worry to much...but we've been through so much...you know?

So this was Aria? Ruuvan had suspected as much, what with Gaia looking nothing like it in the sense of fresh green grass and no cities taking up the landscape, he deciding factor being the young looking Maximos standing next to him stating that this was indeed Aria, so what was Ruu to understand? One minute he was in Gaia looking at his necklace, and now he was standing on a plateau with his best friend back on Aria, what was going on. "Maximos, I..." He paused briefly, looking down to the group of dancers once more before he said something, something he had no control over as if he was meant to say it, "You know we'll be at your side until this is over. Death didn't stop me before, so I'll be damned if it stops me now." Ruu smiled and laughed slightly, although in the back of his mind he was still figuring out why he said that and what was going on, but it was slowly becoming clearer.

::Ruuvans words cracked the worry on Maximos's face. In many ways the Shadow Warrior wished the world could be as simple as he imagined it in his mind. But it wasnt, that wouldnt stop him from swearing this oath. He quickly shuffled his feet beneath him and triumphantly stood up to make his declaration.
With the party below, really no one beside Ruuvan would able to hear it.::
Then we'll make a promise! If Death isnt a boundary now, we wont let it be one ever! If one of us is lost, the rest will hunt across the world, or fleeb, across all the worlds to find them. Because...
::Slowly, the visage of the world around Ruuvan would start to fade, very slowly, he'd still see Maximos but a cloud of white was starting to cover his view, yet the words remained.::
...we're a family! And thats what families do!
::His last clear vision would be of Maximos turned to him with a wide smile on his face and holding out his hand and he triumphantly said...::
Whaddya say Ruu? Are you in?
::Ruuvan would awaken with his eyes yet still locked on the necklace which lay in his hands. He was back in the H2, back on Gaia. The light had faded and Ruuvans lips would be spelling out the answer he gave Maximos that fateful day...what was that answer?::

It wasn't real, which was what Ruuvan suspected as soon as it happened, but something about it was so real that he found himself answering Maximos' oath even as the world around him merged back into reality. "I promise." It ended with him addressing the emptiness of the car, a tear forming in his right eye as the memory was recovered from his mind and brought to the forefront. Why would all the events leading to this point take him back to that day? Ruuvan, Maximos and Angeltears were the last few to finish the quest and they were indeed a family, but it had been so long since he saw either of them on Gaia or Aria, so why did it take him there? Ruu had no idea, even though he did indeed answer the oath and want answers, but he could do nothing but sit in silence as he thought about what happened, trying to pull more answers out.

You know...Mr. Ugwy Ewf. A sad face is more work den a happy face.
::The voice came from the back seat of Ruuvan's H2, as a little boy about 6 or 7 years old crawled into the back seat with a bow in his hands, and flicked it over into the passengers seat.
It was D.
How he got here...unknown. What he was doing here...unknown.
But he leaned forward from the back seat and tried to wipe the tear from Ruuvans eye.::
Dont cwy...ish ok....whats wrong?

No one had ever seen Ruuvan cry, except for Maximos when he told him about his Undead form and part of his past, but that was a complete overdose considering he thought himself human up to that point. I mean, how would you like to be told you're an Undead Elf after believing you were human for god knows how long? Still, all was changed as D crawled into the abck of the Hummer and saw him crying.
"It's... it's hard to say what's wrong." Ruuvan stopped D's hand before it touched his face, smiling at the child and wiping his own tear away. What exactly was he meant to say happened? Sure, D seemed like he knew about Ruu's past, but what could really be going on, "I just saw an old friend, Maximos... I remembered a place called Aria and making a promise, but I don't know what it means." It was then he looked at the young child in a hope he'd have the answers, but what could a kid know?

: biggrin slouched across the armrest in between the passenger and drivers seats and smiled. He always smiled when he could, but this time his head was a bit cocked to the side as he tried to figure out the situation as best his little mind could.::
What did you pwomise?

Of course D wouldn't think Ruuvan crazy, seeing as he was only a kid and would probably think his imagination was just being too active, but what was the truth of the situation? Ruu had been looking at his necklace and was transported back into his mind, a memory in Aria of the day they promised neither of them would die and they would see this thing through; how did someone explain that to another person? Simple, tell a kid who could accept such things without judging them. "We promised that we'd search for each other no matter what." He was getting a bit sobby again, but he kept it together as he carried on speaking, "If we ever got seperated, we'd keep on looking until we found the other people... death wouldn't be a boundary, we'd still search. But how can I search if I don't know where to start looking?" Once again, he looked up to D in the hope of getting an answer, or maybe a clue as to what he was meant to do next.
