Uggae hitting the tau from the flanks works well and i saw a dark eldar army eat a tau army up of course it was the tau players first game but the dark eldar player haden't playede since 3 rd ed Somone who hadn't played since 3rd still has more experience than a first time gamer. In practice, DE vs. Tau is as knife-edged a struggle as 'Nids vs. Tau. Through I'm curious, why post anti-Tau tactics in a Tau thread?

It's easier than skipping back a dozen pages to find the Dark Eldar thread xd
Well, it involved the Tau, so it might belong here.

shadowman514 Oryn No offense folks, but take the arguing over who gets the army to PMs. On topic, What do your usual Heavy Support slots look like? I usually have Three Broadsides with a**, one Ionhead with two BC, and one Railhead with SMS. im playing 2 broad side suits and 3 sniper drone teams That is illegal. 3nodding

Why does everyone think that each Sniper Drone Team takes up a Heavy slot? Sniper Teams are like Zoanthropes; 3 Teams for one Heavy choice. They deploy independently of each other, but at the same time.

Some people just don't read the codex as good as they should.
And no, lysdexia[sic] is not an excuse any more in my books.

The GW near me sucks at explaining this game! rofl I actually think that they don't know what they are talking about half of the time. rolleyes

Wow the biggest issue with the guys in the GW near me is that they don't know when giving advice and rules help is a bad thing. LOLz. I swear the oculd quote every page in the rulebook exactly some days. Now on the codex side of things I'm not so sure, one of the guys at the shop generaly knows the rule when you need to.

Or there will be someone else there who knows it. A few of the guys in my local GW, the greatest sydney store ever- Parramatta, know all the rules for both 40k and fantasy.
Back on subject though, I am currently in the process of starting a Tau force. I am thinking of going for a stealth suit heavy force, just because it is cheesy.
I am also quite pleased with how well my colour scheme works. I have gone for a Midnight Blue base with Lich Purple highlights and Codex Grey other. So, on my fire warriors, the armour is midnight blue with part painted lich purple and the cloth is done codex grey.
