ubergeist What units are good in the new codex, I'm going to get the new codex and some new models and I want to know which ones are worth their money and points. . Haven't thought about it that way. Maybe you should get the book and look through it, and see what you like.

okay, with the exception of the HQ section, 995 of the marine list is the same. I mean IDENTICAL. cept now we have new rules for bolters and assault cannons, obviously. And a terminator with cyclone missile launcher also gets a storm bolter now, and can take a chainfist. So what's "good" and what's "bad" depends on YOUR opinion of what was good or bad before.

Actually quite a bit has changed, and you should really get the book before you start building your army. You're going to need the basics, two boxes of marines and a commander/chaplain/librarian, but from there you're going to have to make a lot of choices...if you play a vanilla marine army you can take honor gaurd and Ultramarines characters, but if you want to build your own space marine chapter you could with the new oaths. A lot has changed, to be fair. New wargear and rules, drop pods have actual rules now, and a lot of options exist for some of the old units/characters (like being able to attach a character to one of your other characters retinues and having it only take 1 hq slot......) so go get the book!

I already have a considerable army of the old guys. I'm going to make my own chapter, and I saw those oaths, pretty cool. I was thinking. Which is better, a landspeeder or a predator?

Yeah pretty good start. Personally I'd prefer 2 or 3 landspeeders (with a**. cannons) to a predator, but heck, why not have both! (I.E. if I had to pick I'd go landspeeder. It's harder to kill a Dev squad then a pred most of the time, and if you're going to take armor it'd better be resilient or you'de better have a lot of it)
