Day: seventy-six Theme: puzzle
She had always prided herself in being able to work through any problem because she refused to ever back down no matter how great the challenge and she did anything to achieve a goal. Anything she was faced with, she could figure out because that’s what she’d been doing for centuries. It had become second nature to her.
And then he came along. Conan was anything but easy to figure out. He was the most confusing thing she had ever encountered, and it absolutely infuriated her. Maybe it was simply because they were such opposites. He questioned everything she stood for -- her faith, her desire for revenge, her lack of morals, everything. The only thing he didn’t seem to question was her conviction to keep him from harm.
He questioned everything and disagreed with most of the things he did, and yet he never made much effort to stop her. He talked about morals, about how killing was such a horrible thing to do, about how her incessant need to destroy Ambrose was hurting her the most -- he talked about all these things, and yet followed her orders, regardless.
He was unfathomable, the only thing that she knew she’d never be able to solve.
