"No, the saying is actually-" .. Break an egg. Well it didn't particularly matter. Prof? The fact that he had cut off at that syllable made Riyo's eyebrow raise to her forehead, but she said nothing. Titus was a busy man, after all.
As the boil moved off to torture yet another poor soul, the ghoul gave a lazy salute and started heading the other way to sit down. Time to relax for a minute. Between all the drama and dancing, she was tired.
Just as the ghoul sit down, a loud crack and the threatening of Tits's life seemed to fill the air. Whoever he had picked as a target sounded... Big.
Well. there went her prom date. s**t. Riyo was fairly convinced now that the nightmare demon had managed to get himself kicked out.
An exasperated sigh escaped her lips, the ghoul sinking down into the seat even if what she was wearing wasn't the most appropriate for such. What was appropriate anymore? She didn't even care. There wasn't enough time left to care.

After leaving Mot, Lizzy had headed straight to the girl's bathroom, peeking in make sure that it was empty before heading inside.

Malodore carefully watched Christof's gestures, then nodded, slowly. "Ah... Amrita does not know, nor does Barth," it said, after a moment. "That she is here, I mean - if you did not tell them about, ah, the situation, then they do not know about any of it... the last I saw Amrita was before I found out about what had transpired." And it hadn't seen Barth at all, not since the field trip. There was more it wanted to say, but now... was not the time. It would have to catch up with Christof after the Prom to discuss matters in more detail. It nodded to Riley as she moved away with Jericho, sending a brush of affection to match the one she sent its way, before focusing on the patchwork again. "I know you have much to do tonight - perhaps afterwards, tomorrow or the day after, I could come to see you?"

Danny caught Roch in the crowd part way through eating a cupcake and took a few steps toward him. She was about to call out to the boil when she noticed Edel was on his arm.
Oh. My. Jack.
WHO LET THAT THING INTO PROM?!
Danny immediately turned around and headed in the opposite direction. Nope. Nope. Not gonna. Can't make her. Noooooope.

When Lizzy left, Mac had stood there in complete confusion. He watched her leave but lost her in the crowd and, thankfully, was spared the sight of her crying into Mot. So he just waited there, hands in his pockets, for something to happen.
That something came in the form of a text from Lizzy, the context making him quirk a brows. The Bathroom? Last stall? Well, uh, okay?
Turning on his heels, Mac headed towards the bathroom.

"Your Peers." Salbei repeated with a brief chuckle, still smiling. It was almost nice to hear her agree to stick around; she was an amusing little bird. "I too am fine here. See? I can network without leaving~" That was about the time Alex had come over, and the conversation had taken a turn to help Taima with her networking, as he already knew this boil.
"You were not wrong, I was an Alchemist." He assured Alex, feeling the need to at the way his title was corrected. Though since the boil was grinning, he didn't feel too terribly bad about the whole thing; he worked hard to become a Sage, though it didn't look like he ever did much of anything at all.
"Again, you little ones are too modest. We couldn't have done it without him and his pretty little filly." Salbei sighed heavilly, shaking his head at how sad it was, between actually needing the help of children to catch fuzzy beasts and the way Halloween was much too modest for their own good. He also had all the nicknames apparently, and horseman or not people were stuck with filly, colt, scareling, little one and any other words or phrase he could think of of referring to small children. Life was more fun that way. "You will get what I promised, it's just taking me, mm, longer than I expected." The length of time it was taking to repay Alex was getting on his nerves; he liked to return favours as soon as possible, but this made it very difficult for him to do so.
"Black dress shoes? Mmm..." He knew what shoes were, but he wasn't sure what made them so important to get dress tagged onto them. Perhaps they were merely fancy shoes? Either way, armed with limited and assumed knowledge, he scoured the floor from where he stood. "No, I'm afraid not...as for your friend, I will keep an eye out for him. What is his name?" He didn't know how common green antennae and brown suits were here, really.
"You are more than welcome to climb on my shoulders. I imagine with our combined heights you could get quite the view!" The thought that came to him was too funny to resist, and he gave a heartfelt laugh to accompany it. "However, I would like to get in some more dancing before the night is over, too! You are also welcome to join us~" Taima, apparently, had no say in the matter.

Shun wasn't picking up on her mental worry. It only made Mitsu sigh slightly before patting his arm. " No I don't suppose you will..." The thought still left a terrible feeling, memories flashing across her vision. There was still nothing she could do to fix what had happened and it would probably continue to bother her for a long while. Since it seemed Riley had moved on to the refreshment table gathering more and more people as she went Mitsu decided to stay back. If the mindflayer wanted her around for whatever reason she could call her. She was certain her mental voice would reach. Otherwise she was sure Jericho could call her....he was just loud. For now she just lingered still soaking up the fact that Riley was back. " It's still hard to believe she's here..."

Titus had wandered around the dance floor for some time before he finally made his way to the tables and had a seat across from Riyo. " Well, that was uneventful..." He muttered tapping the table with his riding crop. " What does it take a start a fight a Prom?" He seemed perplexed about the whole situation like someone had taken his favorite toy and thrown it in the trash.

[ Re-entering from Photobooth ] Ulmuka entered the crowded room once more with Needle on his arm. There was a bit of a crowd by the refreshment table but instead of scouring it, he simply moved on and through. He mostly was looking for familiar faces. The strix didn't have many close friends but he'd like to see the few he had. Unfortunately he didn't even know if they were here! "Dancing?" He glanced to Needle, then back behind him for Petro and Lattice. The tanned boil had expressed interest in some group dancing. He was game if they were!

Woah. Would you look at that. Titus was still here, whether by the will of some unseen deity or otherwise. Riyo raised a brow and sat up a little. "I honestly don't know how you're still here. I heard the screams from across the room." The feline admitted, glancing back the way the boil had come from.
"The way everyone built this s**t party up, I expect nobody wants to fight because they want to stay." Why was she giving him advice on this? Whatever, it didn't matter. With a sigh, she leaned forward and propped her chin up with her hand. "You should find somebody who doesn't want to stay." Seemed simple enough, until the thought that only people who wanted to be here were actually here.
"Oooooh, someone wants to start a fight?" The voice came from behind Riyo. Well, if it wasn't the vampire boil and... Why did he have a pair of ghoul's shoes?
The voice. Riyo thought it was familiar, but when she looked back... She really couldn't seem to place a finger on it. Her brow furrowed as she stared at the cloak-clad figure, puzzling over who this could be.
Though, it appeared the same wasn't true for Lou. His hidden brows raised in surprise, but a grin was not far behind. "Well, hello there. Fancy seeing you here. Might I ask exactly what's holding up that dress? Because it's obviously not you."
Oh. He was one of those people. ******** class="quote">Inu-Mitsu

Jericho gave Riley a confused look, but didn't say anything else as she was soon swarmed by other students happy to see her alive. Though he still wasn't completely happy with Israfel, it was still touching to see him reacting like this to her. He just waited off to the side, watching with a mild smile. Yes. She was back. It was going to take time to get her completely up to speed but... she was still here.

The was a tiny pop and where the siren had previously been planting himself against Riley, was now a small blue bird. A flutter of wings and he planed himself down in the tentacles that adorned Riley's head chirping in contentment.
He sent a small chirp at Jericho as well. Riley had been saved so he could be saved as well.

Shun tilted his head at Mitsu, then watched as Riley wandered off towards the refreshments table. Taking the wolf girl's hand, he squeezed it lightly and nodded. "No kidding. But I would not consider this to be a bad thing. The student body could use a little extra hope now," he noted. She had definitely been dead, but aside from the fact that someone as iconic as her managed to come back, it probably also gave those infected with Insanity some hope that they weren't quite as doomed as it seemed. Maybe.

Mot made his way back into the gym, feeling heavy with the burden of knowledge he wasn't sure he wanted. His terra cotta eyes lifted to the crowd, spotting a familiar ghoul with bells not too far off. He'd left her in such a hurry last time, and he wanted to make things right. The Grim Reaper softly made his way over, tapping her on the shoulder and offering a smile. "Sorry about that. I lost myself in personal drama." He chuckled and rubbed his neck. "I apologize for running off. It was rude of me."

Pinchmonster Ty for letting me/Amarus meet Lark and crash your dancing ; u; <3 Pales ILU YOU ARE WONDERFUL-- Lark and Kettil can go on alone if they want punches? Amarus arched one brow, skeptical. She had never before had someone presented to her in such a way, shoved forward as if to say THIS ONE IS MINE, ISN'T IT PRETTY? But it did not really surprise her that Kettil would do that, so in the end her skepticism faded away, unvoiced. "I think I could have met her regardless of where she stood in relation to you, but yes, from this vantage point I can see she is lovely," Amarus told him, with a half-smile.
She felt faintly nauseous as she spoke, and reached up to touch her face out of habit, looking for her mask to adjust it. Realizing it was no longer there. "I do not believe either of you would bite?" Sometimes, she realized it was an expression. At times like this, her social skills had basically reverted to pre-Amityville, which made her either really dumb or at best kind of slow. She did smile as Kettil joked with her, at least. "Um... maybe..." It was nice of her friend to offer, it really was... but it was still very clearly his date. She really did not want to interrupt that. She had no good excuse not to go, really. So Amarus stood there for a second longer, debating, gripping the elbow of one arm in her free hand.
She was surprised to feel someone tap her on the shoulder, turning slowly so she didn't whip whoever it was with her scale train. "About...?" she started to ask, before realizing as she turned that it was Mot. Her stomach dropped, or where she imagined a stomach should be if she had still had an equally fleshy body as the 3 Reapers she now stood with. "Oh." Then, facing Kettil and Lark, "Maybe you would like to get punch without me?..."
Amarus took a step back and bowed slightly, so that she didn't have to look him in the eye. Calm. Calm. At least he was talking to her, right? So she could not have done so poorly. "It was my fault I asked how you were," she admitted, "I do not really know how to ... um, express caring. So I tried, but... I guess I'm still pretty bad at it, hm?" she straightened, finally, having managed a smile at her own expense. She was happy to see Mot. Of course she was. "I took it harder than I should have. I don't really like failure," she equally admitted. "...but who does, right? I guess I'm not alone there."
As a second thought, Amarus reached up and took one of her ribbons off, one of the decorative ones surrounding a bell, and held up one finger to Mot. "Oh! Just give me a second, okay?" she apologized, and tried to put her back between Mot/Kettil/Lark and whatever she was doing to that ribbon. Because it probably looked kind of bad, but... well, she reached down and grabbed her bound hair, pricking her finger again, drawing the tip just a little further to make a thin incision. It didn't hurt. Wasn't FEAR damage. She squeezed at the skin and put a drop or two into the fabric, covering it in her essence-fire while she was at it. Tadah. That was how to do it, wasn't it? She'd never tried before, so this might be weird.
And then she turned around, and shoved the ribbon out at Mot. "This. Keep it around you tonight when you want to calm down. It's not so great, and you can't... drink it or anyting, and the effect will almost definitely wear off fast but-- I mean, just take it, okay?" Amarus nose wrinkled. She tried to smile, and eventually, it became a genuine smile.
"Mot, I am glad I did not ruin our friendship already."
