Luk hurried to take Earendil's good arm around his shoulders instead of Lin's so that Earendil would be at a better height for walking.

"I admire you for many things, Lin," the half elf told her with a gentle smile as he helped Earendil stabilize himself, "but there is one thing that I do wish that you would do a bit more often, and that is to ask for help when you need it. Don't misunderstand me, I'm not trying to put you down ... let's just say I'm reminding you that you have people here to help you when you need it."

She was independent, and that was a good thing, but too much independence wasn't as good.

"To the tent, correct?" he asked with a smile.

"Yes," Lin nodded at that.

She blushed a bit at that, it wasn't that she meant to take on more than she could, it was just often she misjudged how much help she would need. Besides it always felt like she was never doing anything.

It wasn't long before they had Earendil in the tent, and he fell asleep again almost the moment he had a blanket over him.

Luk looked at Miyuki and Andarien, then murmured, "It might be easier to leave Andarien in here as well, since he's also asleep."

Just a thought, but it made sense to him.

Miyuki sat down and scooted over to her ada before setting her brother down. She would like to stay in the tent with her father and brother then, since they weren't feeling well.

Besides, she didn't even know what to make of this new person even if her mommy said it wasn't really her fault.

Luk turned to leave the tent, and as he went he murmured, "Arthael is working on dinner, it should be ready any time. You should eat. If the storm comes before morning, who knows when is the next time we'll be able to have warm food?"

Rain would make a fire impossible, let alone cooking.

"Besides," he added, "I'm sure others will have questions for you about Earendil and Andarien. They were distracted by Alassëa."

"Of course," Lin nodded, she had forgotten that most wouldn't have realized what had happened to Andarien.

Though she did realize the others would want to know how Earendil was doing.

"Well then," she looked over to Miyuki, "Let's go and get some dinner while your father and brother rest okay?"

Miyuki nodded slowly at this, "Okay."

Everyone else had gathered around the fire, and Celeb was fussing over Haldia while she was trying to fuss over him. The others were calm enough, and Alena and Alassëa were nowhere in sight. Daeron was still watching, though from the woman's reaction to hearing voices it was quite clear that no one else had been there in decades. But they weren't taking any chances.

River and Amalirahc were playing with Amalirahc's cards near the fire while Arthael worked on dinner with Leyenda's help.

Miyuki joined her friends as usual, since she related to them better tahn anyone else.

Lin on the other hand simply sat down next to the nearest person, today had been perhaps a bit too much. So many things happening in the span of a few hours.

"Are you all right?" Kelirahc asked when he saw how tired and worried Lin looked. His golden eyes showed concern. "You look exhausted ..."

Then again, it had been a strenuous day for them all. The rushed travel, the adventure in finding Alassëa ... and something had been going on with Andarien at the beginning of that too, though he hadn't been able to see what.

"It's just been an emotional roller... err..." Lin paused for a moment.

No one knew what a rollercoaster was, with the exception of Shiro and Kaito... and maybe MIyuki but that was just about it.

"An emotional ride," Lin supplied finally, "Just a lot happening all at once."

Kelirahc nodded slowly, though the concern didn't leave his face. "How are Earendil and Andarien?" he asked quietly. "I did see that something did happen to Andarien as well, yes?"

Though he hadn't seen what it was, and of course didn't know yet what had happened to Earendil. The only person who knew was Alena, and she was with Alassëa at the moment.

"Earendil and Andarien is resting," Lin replied, "Though Andarien is better off, it was a growth, and apparently his growths aren't going to be easy. He didn't like it one bit."

That was going to make for some painful growths in the future, she was sure.

"Earendil's shoulder was badly injured, that's going to take months to heal and then to get it back into working order...."

Luk winced. "That sounds bad ... for both of them. Admittedly, more so for Earendil. It's going to make travel difficult, considering that whether he's riding in the wagon or on a horse, it's going to be an awful lot of bumping around."

Which would mean more pain and slower healing time, though he was sure that, knowing Earendil as he did, the man wouldn't complain.

"It will..." Lin admitted, "Unless the healing process is sped up it is going to be a long trip for him."

There was always a chance of finding someone with the healing gift in the Westland, but the problem was, was when. For all they knew, maybe it would be healed by the time they found anyone.

"Once it heals he's going to need to build up the muscle in that area again and rework that arm since he can't use it at all while it's healing."

"I would imagine not," Kelirahc breathed. "If he were to try, he would only make the healing process take longer."

He paused, then looked at Lin seriously and added, "You are going to have to watch him carefully to make sure that he does not try to use it. He is the type of person who will still try to take his part in everything, which will not be good for him. He can be stubborn that way."

He smiled faintly. "It is one of his faults."
