[Alan :: Dark Margin]

In the back of his mind, Alan became dimly aware of his return to the waking world. He rolled over onto his side and made the noncommittal noises one might expect of someone being reluctantly roused from a deep sleep. His right hand reached up to touch the side of his head.

"My horns are gone . . . ", he muttered, still half sleeping.

Then, his eyes shot open, startled. He touched his face with his hand, then his left arm, before he seemed to understand something, whereupon he groaned a little bit and sat up, his momentary panic gone.

Still acting with the muffled aspect of one woken untimely, he listened to Cory's pronouncement.

"That's very decent of you, Cory," he said. "Thank you. And, um, if you need some kind of favor or something in the future, don't hesitate to call on me."

He brought his hand back to touch his face again, his expression curious.

Jacob ll Tortuga ll The Challenger

"Oh C'mon!" Jacob said, still climbing down from the rigging. He fell down to the deck and rolled with a long thud. Already in his hands as he somersaulted forwards were a salvo of daggers. In a shotgun style attack, he threw a handful at the heartless zipping about. The heartless Noelle had stuck with her spear dropped enough to catch some daggers in its face; that was more than enough to finish it off. Jacob started to grin. It was wicked fun actually killing things with his favorite parlor trick. It was wicked fun playing this game.

Then one swooped down and rammed into him.

Jacob tried to raise his guard up, but the air pirate had found an opening. Jacob rolled up over his back, to absorb some of the shock, but his cheek started to throb. Jacob, now thoroughly pissed, threw knife after another, hitting dead on, over and over into it's back until it too, popped into a puff of smoke.

[Amy : Angel Grove : Command Center]

It looks like a heartless, Amy thought, It looks like a blown up version of one of those floaty things that cast lightning, fire, or ice. Only, this is bigger–a boss version of a normal enemy. Like Kichi-Jon, she hadn't played Final Fantasy IX, and didn't recognize the Waltz for what it was.

She listened to Danielle (although she didn't know her name yet) and nodded. The adults started disappearing six days ago... it was something to file away.

"I'm ready, too," Amy said, and immediately felt bad about it. The feeling was so out of place–wanting to go to the aid of a town being set on fire by a strange Heartless was noble, after all–that she rejected it, choosing to ignore it and focus on her role in the upcoming fight. Fire... how does one fight fire...

{James : Tortuga : The Challenger}

Even with the three of them pulling at the chain, James wasn't sure if they would be able to haul up the massive anchor. However, once Auron joined and consolidated their efforts the chain came up, bit by bit. As soon as the anchor was raised though, it was all hands on guard, as a group of Heartless appeared.

"Why is it whenever we get on a boat we get attacked!?" James growled as his hexagun appeared in a flash.

Air Pirates and Cannon Guns firing from the dock, an appropriate variety for this world, he figured as he raised his gun and took aim, blasting at one of the Air Pirates. He surveyed what was going on and noticed that Dawn was currently defenseless as she put wind into the sails. He quickly made his way up the stairs and stood beside her, placing his left hand on her shoulder.

"I got your back. Focus on getting us out of here!" He said as he raised his gun and took aim yet again. Blasting another Air Pirate that was heading their way.

{Auron : Tortuga : The Challenger}

As soon as they got the anchor up, heartless appeared. Auron quickly ran to grab his katana, hoisting it back up onto his shoulder.

"Hmph... Typical." He said as he charged forward, his massive katana slashing down at one of the Air Pirates cleaving it clean in half.

{Black Waltz : Angel Grove : The City}

The Black Waltz Heartless looked down upon the city as it went ablaze, that's when the Heartless noticed the small blue creature, and it firing what looked like a ball of goo at him. By the time the ball would have reached the Heartless though, the Waltz was well out of way, in fact with a teleport, it was now floating behind Stitch.

"Fool! You dare to challenge a Black Waltz!" It said in it's eery whispery voice, as it unleashed a fireball at the alien.

{Leon : Angel Grove : The Command Center}

Leon had remained silent, as he listened intently to the other's ideas and thoughts regarding the situation. That was until the sirens all started going off and the lights began to flash red... This effect also reminded him of the lab in Radiant Garden and his attention immediately shifted to the monitors accordingly. His eyes narrowed upon the Black Waltz as it began it's attack. He could see just barely, the Heartless insignia upon it's chest.

"No doubt about it. Let's go!" He said, as he followed the others to the teleporter, his gunblade resting on his shoulders.

[Dawn : Tortuga : The Challenger]

Dawn glanced over her shoulder at James. She smiled slightly at him with a nod. Then turned her attention back to the sails. Dawn narrowed her eyes as she let more wind on the sails in attempt to get the ship to move faster. Ignoring a little bead of sweat that went down to her chin.

[Jenny :: Isle of Tortuga :: The Challenger]

Jenny came up onto deck a little behind Noelle, but even then she could see the number of heartless that dotted the airspace around the ship. They hadn't even left port yet and there was already trouble. She didn't want to begin to think about once they set out to sea. The mage gingerly placed her lips to her flute, allowing the summoned melody to waft through the air, carrying the spell. Banish!

The sky suddenly wavered for a split second before several voids opened, revealing pathways into a dark abyss. The voids ensnared a few of the pirate heartless, dragging them into the rift before shuddering and closing up once more.

[Tortuga ~ The Challenger]

Noelle watched as Jenny performed her feat and stood still for a moment to let it sink in. Looking back over her shoulder at the time mage, she smiled. "Dude . . . awesome. Shwiiing!"

Turning back, the agromancer threw her spear again, recalling it as soon as she'd made contact with a heartless, and repeating the action for a series of rapid attacks. She paused only slightly to watch as Jack did a goofy dance, mimicing Dawn like it was helping. The ship was, however, beginning to move away from the port a little faster. Her earth ramp was now disconnected from the ship by a foot or two, and they were getting on their way.

[Anthony ~.~ Isle of Tortuga ~.~ Port --> The Challenger]

It has been six days since Anthony arrived on the Isle of Tortuga. The first two nights proved to be very difficult for him as the reality of the destruction of the Earth and the possible death of his friends and family sank in. For two nights he laid motionless where he had awoken, moving only when he had to; his appetite shot due to the trauma he felt and only ate (whatever he could find) just for nutritional purposes. Both nights were restless ones as he stayed up in prayer and thought, trying to make sense of the senseless... Reason and logic were no use to him now. Perhaps it was more faith based... like some kind of limbo, or maybe it was the Second Coming and Jesus had swooped through like a flash of lightning, taken the faithful, and left those who didn't believe behind. Heck, if he didn't know better, he'd think this was a scenario straight out of Kingdom Hearts, a popular game he'd play back on Earth. But he knew better than to think of something as silly as that... didn't he?

On the morning of the third day, Anthony decided it was time to try and figure things out--such as where he was and the mystery behind his newly gained weapon, abilities, and his dream prior to the destruction of the Earth. From the awkward stares and the unusual surrounding settings, it didn't take long for Anthony to realized he didn't belong here. In order to avoid further suspicion, Anthony, erm... "borrowed" some clothes hanging from clotheslines in nearby alleyways. Now, dressed in more traditional pirate attire consisting of a blue-gray long cloth vest, over a puffed sleeve shirt, which was tucked into a pair of blue breeches, knee-length black leather boots, and a large black leather belt wrapped around his waist over the vest, Anthony was free to move about town. Eventually, a need for money arose, and he was hired as a longshoreman at the local port; however, the real money was at the bars where he'd pretend to be drunk, then challenge others to a brawl. Oh the people he met...

On the sixth day, things began to get weird... well, weirder than they have been lately. In the middle of his shift at the port, all hell broke loose... literally. A battle took place that turned the entire port upside down! Anthony was tossed back by the force of the attacks and into a wall, where rubble fell on top of him and buried him beneath it. Too afraid to come out of the rubble, he hid beneath them and watched from a small opening at the battle before him. To his surprise, they were... people... normal people! Well, not totally normal as they seemed to be empowered, but they weren't like the residence of Tortuga! They were like him! "These people might be from Earth," Anthony thought to himself.

After awhile, the battle had come to an end as the antagonist and one of the other Earthlings fell into a portal and disappeared. Shortly after, the other Earthlings began to board one of the ships at the port; however, even that proved to be difficult as strange creatures with beady yellow eyes appeared in shapes of cannons and winged pirates only identified as--"HEARTLESS!" Anthony cried out, recognizing the creatures from Kingdom Hearts. Heh... ironically, the most least likely explanation he had thought of was the actual explanation. However, this wasn't the time to be preoccupied by such thoughts as the only people capable of explaining what was going on were slowly sailing away.

Anthony quickly climbed out of the rubble and charged forward, his dual heavy gauntlets suddenly appearing over his hands. "WAIT!" he shouted, hoping to grab one of their attentions. Like instinct, he sliced through the Cannon Heartless and Air Pirates that blocked his way, stopping once in awhile to shout out once more to the group. Each attempt was a failure. There was no time to waste anymore. He sprinted forward as quickly as he could, slashing away at the enemies around him. He ran up the earth ramp one of the Earthlings, the small blond one, had created for the group to board the ship they had commandeered, and stopped at the edge, dismissing his cestuses. He slightly crouched, the muscles around his thighs condensing as they tightened. The ground beneath him began to crack as the strength in his legs began to build up. With great force, Anthony leaped forward, leaving a small crater on the earth ramp where he once stood, towards the ship. He rotated his arms and kicked the air as he cleared the gap between the port and the ship. He cleared a majority of the ship and slammed into the mainmast in the center of the ship and fell, after desperately trying to grab onto the mast, to the deck and landed on his back. "MY BACK!" Anthony cried in pain, immediately arching up and rolling over onto his stomach, then placing his hands on his lower back.

Jacob ll Tortuga ll The Challenger

Jacob had stuck another salvo of dagger into two cannon heartless below, just as the stocky man came lumbering up to the ship. Oh come on! More evil dudes? Jacob debated throwing daggers at him just in case. He didn't exhibit any of Nomura's classic villain dress styles. But he reminded Jacob of Pete. Then he tried to flip onto the ship and his the mast with a deadening THUD. Jacob, in turn, mentally face palmed. "Sorry mate, I'd help you up, but I'm a tad bit busy. I know it hurts, but you need to maintain a neutral position if you hurt yourself. Roll onto your stomach. Anyone got a potion?" He said, picking off the last three cannon heartless. He hoped someone had a potion on them. Noelle definitely had no jar of dirt to grow her pitcher plants.

"What's your name?" He said, almost relieved that the heartless had drastically thinned. What a bear...He just ripped through them like butter. Note: Stay on his good side.

[Anthony ~.~ Isle of Tortuga ~.~ The Challenger]

Slowly, but surely, Anthony rose to his feet. He started by pushing himself up with his arms, then brought his left, then right legs beneath him and pushed himself up with his legs, his hands on his back as it jerked a few times while he attempted to straighten his upper torso. "I'm-I'm fine," Anthony replied to the shaggy-haired youth. "This always happens." He dusted himself off, then stepped forward, standing beside the young man who addressed him just now, and stood in a fighter's stance, recalling his twin gauntlets to his hands, awaiting for any of the remaining Heartless to come close enough for him to attack.

"My name's Anthony," he said, after slicing through a Air Pirate Heartless that swooped down from above. "And you have no idea how happy I am to see you and everyone else on this ship!"

[ Kyle ; Sora : Isle of Tortuga : The Challenger ]

"James, we're under attack all the time, it has nothing to do with boats," Kyle responded, waving his arms in the direction of the port; one of the Starlights rose above his head and immediately fired down, causing a relatively nice explosion of Holy energy that took out two adjacent Cannon Guns.

However, more simply continued to spawn. As the Cannon Guns began to dwindle, a few more appeared, but some were followed by Battleship Heartless, which immediately began to fly around and fire their cannons. They would charge straight at anyone who got too close, and because of their heavier builds, it would take more than just a hit or two to destroy them.

Kyle watched as the crew went to fighting away the Heartless. Sora seemed particularly good at deflecting the cannon balls- it was one of the few times it was obvious how much more skilled the Keyblader was than the rest of them. Raising another Starlight into the air, he was just about to fire it when he heard someone's screams from the port. He froze, looking around, and watched a man with giant gauntlets punch through some of the Heartless and leap onto the deck.

"Another Earthling!" Kyle said, grinning widely at the sight of Anthony summoning his large gauntlets (reminiscent of the game Magna Carta, really) before unleashing the floating Starlight at a hovering Battleship; the explosion caught it off-guard, sending it flying a good few meters away.

"I'm Kyle- we'll have more time for intros once we're out to sea!" he exclaimed, altering the last Starlight into a thin, half-meter-wide disc in his hands and tossing it like a frisbee. It cut through the Battleship he'd just hit (finishing it off) and then went on to kill two Air Pirates before dissipating. "Right now, though, let's keep this ship in one piece!"

[ Zordon ; Billy : Angel Grove : The Command Center -> City Streets]

"Well then, it's Morphin' time!" Billy said, immediately grabbing his transformer and, in a flash of blue, he was in his Power Suit, standing at the teleporter with the others. "Hit it, Alpha!"

"Good luck," Zordon spoke, nodding to Billy with reassuring eyes as Alpha pressed in the final codes...

-----------

In a prismatic flash that seemed to show each and all of their colors, the entire group appeared in the city streets; within their sights, merely a block away, was the monstrous Heartless that was now fighting with a strange blue creature.

A terrible rumbling could be felt now that they were in the city, as if there was a constant earthquake going on. It was then that they'd notice, just a few meters from the Black Waltz, was a young blond woman, the epicenter of the quakes; to those from the other group, they'd immediately recognize her as 'Noelle'... and know for a fact it couldn't be her.

"What?! Somebody else?" Billy shouted, summoning his blue swallow-blade and preparing to fight. "What's the meaning of this?!"

[ 'Teacher' : Narnia : Grand Hall ]

"The ship has been moved, and I'm afraid you cannot get into its new location," she spoke, currently looking at the spherical machina. She craned her head to look at Nicholas, and though he couldn't see her face, he could probably feel her analytical gaze. "However, there seems to be a skirmish in the city..."

"Take this corridor," she said, opening one beside him. "It will lead you close to the skirmish. You can simply say you wandered off."

[Tortuga ~ The Challenger]

Noelle caught sight of some flying man just as he was landing. She paused for a brief second, an expression of confusion on her face, before continuing with another spear throw.

See? I'm not the only one who's fallen from the sky. It seems to be becoming a trend now.
'I don't believe he fell from the sky . . . I think he jumped.'
Well, whatever. I'd give his landing a ten anyway.

The agromancer groaned as the Battleship Heartless showed up. More? She was really at a disadvantage here. Magic was her strong suit, and even though she had been improving in weapon and hand-to-hand combat, she was still at a loss without it. The best she could do was dodge and keep throwing. Easier said than done, it seemed. As she tried to avoid a cannonball, her right shoulder was clipped by it, sending her straight into the deck facedown.

Oooh, that's REALLY going to bruise.

[Angel Grove ~ City]

Elleon kept walking nonchalantly, hardly hesitating as a group of people appeared. I suppose these are the goody-goodies Lugae was talking about. The earth gradually ceased it's rumbling and as it stoped moving, so did its commander. She stood with a bored expression, hands on her hips as she shifted her weight to one leg.

"Are you here to join the fun?" She called tauntingly.

[Amy : Angel Grove : City Streets]

She went from the peaceful command center to a scene of budding chaos. The ground was shaking upon arrival, but slowed down, its movement stopping with the girl.

"And who are you, Android 18?" Amy summoned her guns. A brown and pink ranger suit immediately took the place of her normal clothing. She felt like she was wearing one of those pink and brown camouflage shirts. As an after thought, she cast Shell on herself.
