Ares frowned. He hadn't been paying attention, admittedly, when he first arrived, to any auras--he'd rather expected Evermore to be in her room, and chose to wait for her there. However, that soon grew boring and he searched for her aura--only to find none but Anteros' aura nearby as well. What the hell?
Scowling, and wondering what was making their auras so jittery, he shimmered to life just by them, and didn't pay much attention before asking, "Anteros! What are you doing here?"
Then he took in their appearances and he blanched briefly, groaning and rubbing a hand down his face. "s**t."

Ross relaxed some, and looked up at frightened eyes to Ares. "M-my parents are..." he looked a little embarrassed. "They make emotions hard to control. It's the same problem with all my brothers... my sisters not so much. Go figure... girls," he said making an 'icky!' face, and then smiling. "Sometimes I get carried away and I can't help it," he said, buttoning up his own shirt, "... I get slapped a lot." He stood and stretched out his back. Falling had hurt. He extended a hand to Evermore to help her up.
Anteros shot a sideways glare at his father.

{{lol!! This is awesome! rofl }}
Ever's eyes widened slightly as Ares appeared right beside her and Ross. She still had two buttons to finish on her shirt still. Actually, she was pretty satisfied that he came in when she did, before she had a chance to fully button up her shirt. She wanted him to see what was going on, anyway, the a*****e.
Apparently, though, he knew Ross... Anteros. Well that was weird. She simply sighed, though, and after finishing her last two buttons, she allowed Ross to help her up. She smiled sweetly at him, which was a little odd for her to do, and thanked him.
"Thank you. And don't worry. I wouldn't slap you. You have done nothing to warrant my anger."
Who were his parents, anyway? She could relate to what he was saying, though. Purposefully ignoring Ares, she said to Ross, "I can relate to what you are saying. My parents can make it hard to control my own and others' emotions of anger and retribution."
The black ball filled with electricity and music had dispersed awhile ago when Ever and Ross were becoming passionate. She had lost her focus and no longer kept the shadows together to form the ball. Now there were just shards of the broken CD player nearby.
And as she looked around, Ever was quite surprised to notice that it was dusk now. The sun had just set and the night creatures were coming to life.

Ares gave a hard look to Anteros, obviously displeased and rather confused. This, though he said nothing, could prove to be very awkward. He sighed before looking at Evermore. "Why are you angry at me now?"

"Parents can be overrated," Ross agreed with a smile. Anteros returned Ares' glare. He'd grown out of his fear of his father a while ago, mostly because his mom protected her kids against him fiercely. It was both a pro and a con. That, and Ares never really had been around in his life a ton, so he was more like a casual stranger than anything else.

Ever smiled sarcastically at Ares. "Who said I'm angry at you? Kind of egotistical of you, Ares, to think that all my actions revolve around you."
She turned her gaze back to Ross. She raised an eyebrow at what he said. It was a rather typical thing for a young person to say. "And how old are you again? 15?"

"Would you like my physical appearance and how I feel mentally," he asked, "Or my actual age?" He decided to be straight and frank with her. He wasn't one to hide things, mostly because he hated it when he was left out of the bigger picture.

Ares huffed at Evermore, crossing his arms. "It seems that you've only been angry at me the past few days, pepromene mou."

Ross gagged, his eyes widening. "What did you call her?!" he asked his father, aghast. Gods above, he was picking them younger and younger every time!

{{Rrine, I don't know if Ross would know this, but 'pepromene mou' means 'my destiny' in Greek. Edit: Oh! You already looked it up! lol! Cool! biggrin }}
Ever smirked at Ross. "How about both? Though, I generally go by physical appearance."
She winked at him, but when she heard what Ares said, she tilted her head back and groaned.
"Well gee, I have no idea why I would be mad at the wonderful Ares..."
She tilted her head down and looked back at him with a scowl on her face. "And stop calling me some kind of pepper!"

"Well, Miss Evermore, to be frank, I'm a couple millennia," he said with a smile, "but I have always looked, felt, thought, and acted like a seventeen year old. And he's not calling you a pepper," he said, laughing with some amusement, "He's calling you his 'destiny'."

Ares groaned, rubbing a hand down his face. "Thanks a lot, Anteros. She's just gonna hate me now. I think I would have preferred to let her think I was calling her a pepper."

Ever gasped and looked with huge eyes between Ross and Ares. You know, they looked quite a bit alike in their facial structure, now that she really looked at them. Interesting.
"You are... are you a god or something?! You had better say no!"
Then, she glared at Ares. "And you call me WHAT?! Is that some kind of sick joke to go along with the game you're playing?!"

"See?!" Ares demanded, gesturing to Evermore. "I told you she'd hate me!" He turned his gaze back to Evermore. "I'm not joking about anything."
