I also changed the person in the quote because I didn't want someone trailing me back here like last time. ._. That was obnoxious and awkward. I enjoy laying into people way too much. Wrasynth Ksyamen NotAMongoose (Yeah because droids need light to see... Surprisingly enough most of the party needs light to see also... So yeah well done there.) Do the droids actually have low light vision? (It's like saying all cameras have night vision.*EDIT* I actually looked this up. Under standard droid traits night vision is not a trait.) Disabling the trooper night vision is as easy as taking their helms off; then placing them backwards on the droids. The (the other can all ready see in darkness just fine.) wookie force users in the party can UTF to ignore the darkness effects too. I did nuke a droid for 53 damage. Which means once he gets up he's in melee range of the wookie. After that I presume there is only one unblinded droid; /If/ no one else really does anything (The utf actions required to do this are in fact two move actions. From one or two separate players.). Also if the rest of the party starts flashing lights into the night vision of the troopers and droids as they adjust? They get blinded again (Have you seen night vision getting blasted with random direct light? It sucks.) It also eats up actions as well. We seriously have the advantage in this situation. I will also /TELL/ you that under these circumstances we /NEED/ a solid advantage like this. We're not facing level one challenges with defensive values like that. Also after talking to Seph 53 damage does not kill that droid. Regardless of the potential yield this actually has? I don't expect you to agree with every tactical decision but the post you made came off as a shitty, sarcastic, and mostly a cheap snipe. I'm pretty sure you intended this, if not you should really stop doing that, please. I don't want us to have camp fire sing along circle jerk, but don't be an a** hole. I'd rather we have more ooc in the ooc as well. Also returning the light is a simple utf j random object to hit the door button again...

.......... I really can't tell. I tend to overreact myself, it's practically in my nature, I mean if you read it with the idea that your screaming this at them probably, but I could have easily have read this as if you were simply explaining the whole ordeal in a collected and poised manner. So I dunno :/

I've had noobs of all sort fall into my rps, but we basically ignored them or couldn't keep up with the story so they left, but I would try to help them elaborate their posts.

Well? Honestly it was prolly a cherry RPer running the show anyways. I wont lie looking for good full lit RP on gaia is kind of a hit or miss deal. More often than not miss though. The groups tend to be cliquish and gaining egocentric acceptance is a challenge. Even in nicer places like here, so even if they're skilled technical writers? There is still a solid chance they ******** suck as people. See? However this defense is in fact developed to ward of trolls or people who hurt their communities. So it's sort of needed but it's an awkward balancing act. If you suck as a person; you're more likely to kill an RP than a fleet of trolls (Flotilla? Armada?).

We can all vouch for how a noob can kill a RP.
I still remember how my jaw dropped when I read how Wrasynth went off on that one boy for his actions in that school RP.
A noob is one annoying thing to deal with, they refuse to accept the fact that they could stand for improvement. I think that they are the breeding grounds for future troll behavior like a porn is the breeding grounds for STDs.

But yeah... I started rping when I was in elementary, I was on neopets at that time, quit before I even reached middleschool, but the elitists there were also mean, I had tried rping for the first time, didn't work out so well, started lurking reading posts learning how to effectively rp went back and worked my way up, didn't take long, but still when I would see those "Elitists" my god I think the Valentine's Day massacre was less horrendous than what those people would do to a newb.
Well I worked with newbs most of the time, noobs... a little tougher to deal with but okay, I never minded the work, when they finally were able to rp well enough again, I applauded myself. But there were times when I would be like "WTH is this kid doing?" Because within five posts they'd have finished an entire adventure by themselves, or bring in something that is completely irrelevant to the setting... -.-

You can't see it but that causes a very large wicked grin. Smiting people is a guilty pleasure.
