"No you haven't. I can understand if you're no feeling well.It's no problem. I just want to make sure you're going to be okay." Mao held him close and refused to let go. Nathan had him concerned but it was really more for other reasons such as whatever had been trying to communicate with him. He would stop anyone or anything from coming near the other no matter what its intentions were.

I'll heal.... but I don't understand why I need to heal. Unless being an Angel properly means that anyone you can't help hurts you because you can't help them?
He shrugged and brushed the thought away as he started playing with Mao's hair. "How was work?"

Nathan smiled. "You care about them really, I know you do..." he plaited Mao's hair with deft fingers - he had been doing it for nearly eight whole years afterall. "What do you want to do for our anniversary?"

Nathan clapped a hand to his head. "I think I have a headache coming... owchie!" he mumbled, eyes watering as he buried his head in Mao's chest. He had no clue why his head contained such a thought.
