Persephone watched the scene with a worried look. She knew she could do nothing from where she stood in her cage so she remained silent. At the very least she could be out of the way and let him be helped by those who could.

 Stary kept a death grip on the bars as she watched the man go over to Meredith. She was so worried that he might die. He looked in so much pain by the look on his face. "Please! Help him!" She yelled. It was killing her not to help him. He was part animal and if her powers weren't blocked by the collar, she would feel the pain as well, but be able to pin point the problem. "Oh please let him live..... he's the only friend I have here...." She thought. "I would give up a good home if he lives." She prayed.

 "What do you... think I'm doing!?" The devil snarled at the girl named Stary through clenched teeth. The pain was excruciating, but he continued to take it away from the demon boy, every last bit of it. Granted, this was not actual healing. His kind did not possess such powers. But the relief of the stress of pain often helped the body to recuperate more quickly.

Stary growled at him. She could tell she was glad she wasn't going with him.... He would get on her nerves... but that didn't matter. Meredith mattered now as she watched him, help him and try to heal him.

Jay tossed the cash aside and pulled the cage open. Jay moved back and watched. "Sir... He doesn't have an illness... It's because he is a hybred..." Jay explained and watched them. He looked at Stary and held up his hand. "Hush!" Jay growled.

"I understood it was wrong...
To want happiness I had never known." Meredith was honestly surprised by the man's actions. He wondered why he, or anyone for that matter, would do such a thing. "S-Stop! I'm okay.. You don't have to..." Before the demon could explain why he was in such bad condition, he lost his consciousness and fainted, falling limply to the floor of his cage again. He didn't seem to be coughing anymore, and his breathing slowly returned to normal. Most of the severity was probably because he was tired in the first place, and the stress of being chosen out of all the other slaves for sale worsened it. Somehow he was feeling better, though, and the pain was faded enough for him to be able to sleep without worrying about whether he would wake up or not. "Never mind me, never mind me,
Just talk about something." <3

"S-so I... see..." The devil seethed through clenched teeth. When he'd finally drained every last drop of the pain that he could reach, he recoiled from the demon boy, stumbling away a few paces and leaning against a barred wall. He was clutching his chest and wheezing, sweat dripping from his brow. That was a very difficult feat for a devil to accomplish. They were meant to cause pain and suffering, not delay or halt it. It had taken a tll on him. None that he couldn't bear, but skies above, this ailment was a painful one! He felt as if his chest were aflame, and not in the normal good way that he liked. He coughed, then raised his eyes to the shop keeper and grinned weakly.
"S-So... how much were these two.. e-exactly?"
He looked on as the demon fainted, and decided to let him sleep. Once he regained his composure, he could carry him out without disturbing him. He glanced over at Persephone. Yeah, he'd need this girls help with this.

Persephone wondered about the devil who would soon own her. Own. No, she didn't like the sound of that at all. The devil she would be living with. She wondered what sort of man he was. He seemed kind in some small way, seeing as he'd taken the pain of the demon. She vowed to not judge him too harshly because of this. With a small sigh she waited to be released.

Stary sighed in releif when Meredith was alright and not in pain anymore. She sat down on the ground, happy he was alright. "Thank you." She said, even though she had to force it out. She didn't like him, but she was grateful that he had help ease her friends pain.

The devil trailed his eyes across the demon boy. Yes, he seemed okay. Of course, now that he looked at Meredith again, peacefully asleep... he couldn't help but admit to himself that the boy was cute. It was worth the pain, he supposed. He was beginning to feel the pain recede, though it was still enough to bother him. He straightened himself up, clearing his throat and wiping the sweat from his forehead.
"Well, this has been more than enough excitement for one day." he surmised, to no one in particular. He heard the girl thanking him, but chose to ignore her. She had been quite rude, and annoying.
