Melethia heard the thud and ran to where the noise is. She then started floating with the wings on her head so no one can hear her.

Meanwhile, outside, the Vendor woman had been busying herself by doing an invitory check. With quill in one hand and a hand-bound book in the other, she was occasionaly checking off something while she examined the crates of wares inside her wagon.
THUD.
"...?"
She lifted her head in the general direction of where the sound had come from with an eyebrow raised.

The young bard had taken him completely by surprise. Matthew had only managed to get the lower half of himself safely out of the window before Nils caught him. The fact that he'd swapped out his usual cloak for this hooded one tonight would relieve him immensely later on, after this was over. He wasn't currently able to put much thought into anything but moving, escaping and calming down.
... Heh.
That was the only thing he would allow himself to say to the boy before he readjusted and leapt away from the house, adding a cartwheel in mid-air. He wasn't out of this yet though, as he'd just narrowly avoided landing on ???. Once he noticed this, he accidentally let a thought materialize as words.That was close...

Nils ran to the window, watching helplessly as the thief made his escape.
That voice...! I know I recognize it!
However, he could not remember. Defeated, he turned to Melethia.
"I'm not sure... I recognize the voice, but I'm not making any connections in my head."

"...Huh."
Not hearing another 'thud', the woman shrugged, before turning her head back down to her inventory catalog. Not that her attention was on the papers for long, as suddenly somebody in a brown cloak summersaulted out of the second floor window of the FEFGA house, and nearly landed directly on her.
For a full turn she was stunned, before exclaiming a "GOOD SAINT." and retreating about 5 unit spaces away from the landed Matthew.

The vendor's presence and sudden scream distracted him from the fact that his landing had caused his hastily re-secured lock pick to come free of its storage place and land in the grass. That was too close. I must be getting a little rusty at this...
Even though he'd nearly landed on her, Matthew didn't figure out who it was that he'd almost landed on until she retreated from him; and as soon as he did, he immediately pulled the cloak's hood farther down to help hide his face.
It seemed like a good idea to flee now before anyone else spotted him. So without another word, he quickly retreated himself into the forest.
((Edit: It looks like I was wrong earlier. I guess that means that I lose the bet and owe myself $20 now. :b ))

She watched the thief escape into the srounding woods, not regoniseing him as the same thief that had caused her both trouble and amusement in the recent past.
Swallowing down her heart, which was beating so fast it had been trying to make its way out her throat, she shakly took a few steps back to her orgional position.
"...Good.. Saint." She muttered the quick prayer this time around, her eyes still focoused on where the brown-cloaked individual had dissapeared. She then pulled herself onto the caravan, and fanned herself with the invitory book.
Well, that sure had shooken her up. She was just thankful that the mystery man hadn't tried to kill her to eliminate potentual whitnesses or anything.

Once he was safely hidden away back in the woods, Matthew decided to put his normal cloak back on and hid the brown one. Something didn't feel right though.
His armlet happily twisted itself into an uncomfortable position when his cloak brushed against it, causing the thief to automatically readjust it with his other hand. The answer as to what was nagging at him suddenly hit him like a Hammer to a Knight: My lockpick! Dammit, and that was my last one...
If the milk hadn't spilled completely before, then the glass had at least been shaken so that a small ring of it could form below. Even if that was the case, he still couldn't complain about it.
I guess I'll have to buy a new one... Good thing there's a vendor around here now. *Yawn* Ahhh, but that'll have to wait until later.
