"I think I'll get things rockin' and rollin' with Golem!" Mr. Ranmo tossed the ball up into the air. There was a massive quake as the large bipedal boulder crashed onto the ground. His feet left small indents on the dirt. The Pokemon growled a low growl, anticipating Kilik's move.
The boy shrugged. It's not like he hadn't fought a Golem before. He'll be easy experience for Lairon! "Go!" He tossed the Great Ball and another tremor hit the earth as his Steel-type emerged. He dug his claws into the soft dirt, gliding his tongue over his jowls. Another battle? So soon. This was going to be cake. "Okay, Lairon! Attack with Metal Claw!" The moment the words left his trainer's mouth, Lairon was on a crash course with his opponent. His front paws began to glow with a bright, yet dully silver, light. Rearing up onto his hind legs, the behemoth brought them down full force into Golem's face.
The Excavator winced, but knew his Golem was going to be fine. After all, it had been through much worse than just a Metal Claw. "My boy, I could end this round right here right now with a very simple move!" He laughed heartily, "Golem here knows one of the most powerful moves in the world! I am, of course, speaking of Earthquake." Kilik's eyes widened. If he were to go through with it, Lairon would definitely be a goner. Then again, he did have a few levels up on his dad's Golem, but...what about in terms of strength and defenses? He gulped. "But my goal is to see how strong you are, not to beat you. If it comes to that, though..." Joe let out another hearty laugh, placing his pipe back between his teeth. "Let's just go with a Rollout!" With the command issued, the lighter colored rocks that made up Golem's arms and legs disappeared into the larger mass that was his body. He rolled down with such force that Lairon was smashed right in the face.
Kilik groaned and clenched his fists. "C'mon..." he mumbled, eyeing Lairon. He could see from his peripheral that Golem was looping around for another attack. "Lairon, hang left and smash into him with a Headbutt on his return! Try to stop him!" Headbutt? Foolish Trainer! He dodged left like his trainer said then began charging at the spinning boulder with that strange move. From the depths of his mind, once more that attack came through. His head began to shine brightly as he and the rock crashed into each other. Lairon pushed as hard as he could against his foe.
Because Golem was spinning so fast and pushing with the same amount of force, sparks were flying everywhere. They shot straight up into the air and luckily died down before hitting the ground. Joeseph let out a low whistle. This was intense. "Harder, Golem!" he demanded. His blood was pumping fast - it had been so long since he had last battled anyone.
The boy's fists were clenched so tightly that his knuckles were turning white. He closed his eyes and growled. "C'mooon..." he said before opening his eyes suddenly, relaxing his hands, "Do it now, Lairon! This is your chance!" By planting his claws into the ground and loosing a mighty roar, Lairon bucked his head up into the air. This force shot Golem right up, still spinning. He heard a command for a Metal Claw from his trainer and gave an affirmative nod. His eyes followed the boulder (who had broken out of his Rollout during his fall back to Earth) and he jumped back, once more getting on his hind legs. At the right moment, he swiped at Golem with a direct hit. Kilik smirked. No way he'll be getting up after that!

Despite how hungry he was, Keegan didn't see anything that looked very fresh or appetizing, and he let out a defeated sigh. The last thing he wanted to do was to actually go get food from a vendor or restaurant, as he figured the prices would be jacked up during the beach party in order to rake in more profits. For a split second he thought he could feel someone watching him, and when he turned to look he saw Mitsu staring at the floor, wearing an unmistakable, guilt-ridden expression. Just like that the look on her face sent a strange pang through his heart and he quickly looked away, his mind fully intent on staying angry with her and her recklessness during that fight at the festival. Try as he might, though, he found himself unable to do so and at once the anger began to dissipate. In his mind he could now clearly hear Kasiya's voice telling him to let it go and that bearing grudges was not a healthy thing to do and he smiled inwardly, shaking his head. Dammit Kasiya, you've made me go soft, he thought, closing his eyes.
He too could see that day an its events clearly in his mind. Up until the Rocket attack, the day had actually been quite peaceful and quiet, and well downright fun. He'd never experienced such a day in all his life. But when the Rockets came, it all changed. Utter chaos had broken loose and for the most part people were fleeing from the attackers. He could see his friends in his mind's eye, each sending out their Pokemon, ready to fend off the Rockets - Kasiya, Mike, Jaeshan and him, albeit reluctantly - smoke had came from somewhere and visibility was hazy at best. It had all happened so fast, Pokemon everywhere and attacks flying back and forth at high speeds; now that he thought of it, it was actually quite surprising that no one else had gotten hurt during that fight. As much as he hated to admit it, he knew in his heart that the burn caused by Sapphire's flames had been unintentional, as it had happened early in the battle when everything was still covered in a thick blanket of smoke. He sighed heavily and turned to face the purple-haired girl, whom to his surprise was now smiling. With surprising strength and speed she grabbed him by his good arm and pulled him away from the lobby, his voice only managing a feeble "Erk?" in protest.
When they finally stopped in an empty, darkened hallway away from the rest of the occupants of the Pokemon Center Keegan was wearing a rather perplexed expression, and was rather eager for an explanation for this sudden side trip. He smiled a bit when she apologized for everything, waiting for a moment to interrupt her and let her know that he wasn't angry or anything like that, but an opening never came. In fact what happened next occurred so quickly that he wasn't even sure if it had happened at all at first. With both hands she grabbed his right arm, the blazing warmth from the scar in stark contrast to how cold her hands felt in comparison. At first the pain was intense, searing and almost unbearable. But then, as Mitsu's hands began to glow with a rich green that strongly reminded Keegan of living things and life in general, the pain began to recede, almost as though it were flowing from his body into hers, and he saw her face contorted with pain as a result. Without thinking he reached out with his good arm to help steady her as she looked as though she may falter at any moment.
When it was all over and she'd released her grasp on him he continued to hold onto her, not even realizing at first that his arm had been healed over completely, no scars or visible evidence that it had even been hurt in the first place. While the appropriate question probably should have been how Mitsu had just pulled off a feat like that one, the one on his mind was far different and actually surprised him when he asked it. "Yeah.. I'm... fine..." he sputtered in disbelief. "But you... are you okay?" She still looked a little unsteady on her feet and he really didn't want her to pass out or anything. "Do you wanna sit down or something?" he asked, still unsure as to what had exactly happened.

"Okay that was odd," Riza murmured as Mitsu took Keegan away into another room. "I wonder what those two are up to," she sighed, leaning back in her seat with Ralts still in her arms. Sneasel leaned up against her and closed her eyes. As much as she wanted to be out there battling with other Pokemon and making herself stronger, the downtime felt nice. She knew that another day like today would not come around again any time soon and that she should do her best to enjoy it while she could.
Riza looked over at Mike and smiled at him a bit, mainly because the way he wore his hair reminded her of an old boyfriend of hers. "So what's up with you?" she asked, more to be rid of the silence that had fallen over them since Mitsu and Keegan had taken off to do Goddess-knows-what. "Having fun today?" It was hard for her not to smile at him, standing there in his flame adorned swim trunks. While she didn't share his appreciation for fire she could understand having a favourite type. Her brother was very partial to dragons and she was quite fond of dark and ice-types herself.

"All right I hope you are ready to face my Pachirisu!" Shirley giggled as she tossed out her pokeball to reveal the cute squirrel pokemon. Upon appearing the small electric pokemon let out a happy cry with sparks coming from its checks.
Aidan stared at the other pokemon for a moment, he had seen these pokemon running around on the tree's nearby but he had never battled one. In fact he had never known it was an electric type until he had seen the sparks this one released. Reaching behind him he reached for Gibles pokeball knowing he would have an advantage being a ground type. As his hand enclosed around her pokeball he paused for a moment before moving his hand over to Skorupi's pokeball. He didn't like having an advantage over others in battle when nothing was on the line. Releasing Skorupi from his pokeball he watched as the small scorpion like pokemon looked around. Upon seeing the other pokemon across from him though he got into a defensive position, he had never battled against a pokemon that was so cute before.
"Ewww! You have a bug pokemon! They are so gross!" Shirley squealed from where she stood pointing over at Skorupi. Upon hearing this the poor bug pokemon drooped down in depression, he couldn't help the fact that he was a bug pokemon. Why would this girl say he was gross?
Aidan just stared at her for a moment before raising an eyebrow at his opponent. "Do you want to battle or not?" He wasn't quite sure if she wanted to battle him or not.
"No! I do want to battle!" This seemed like the only way she could catch this cute boy's attention "Pacharisu use Spark!" The small electric squirrel clenched his fists and sparks appeared around it for a moment before the electricity soared at Skorupi in a direct hit.

With a paniced looked masking her face she threw Keegan's arm off of her and scrambeld back as fast as she could manage until a loud thump could be heard as she slammed herself into the other side of the darkened hallway. Mitsu sank to her knees, her hands shaking uncontrollablely, tears streaking her frightened face. She looked at the red headed boy who clearly, maybe too clearly, wore an angered look on his face. He held up a fist threateningly. "Get away from me!" Mitsu screamed, both hands covering her face, her paniced eyes peeking through her fingers. "Leave me alone! Get away from me! I don't want to die!"
She could feel him get closer, she could feel a threatening force overpower her. Her eyes shifted from side to side before locking onto Keegan once more. "No. No. No. You can't kill me!" she screamed once more before standing up, though shaking in the process. Something snapped within her. Fear was immediately vanquished from her being and she soon felt elevated. Suddenly confidently she repeated, "I said, you can't kill me!" Moving closer to him, reaching for his neck, her hands flaring a brilliant red. A manical grin plastered onto her face to match. . .
Mitsu gasped again, snapping back into reality. A rushing feeling flew through her head. Where was she again? She opened her eyes, not even realizing that she had closed them again. Did I just faint? What happened? And why was Keegan. . OH! Keegan! Right, the dark hallway, the recent healing. "I. . I. . I'm okay now," she replied her mind just registering the fact that he had asked her a question. "I'm sure you've got questions, but first just let me say that I'm a freak with healing powers." She winced at the word 'freak' though she knew it was true. "And sitting sounds good." She was sure that she would crumple over herself if he let her go. There was no way she could stand.

Mike shrugged. Mitsu was such a frustrating person to deal with sometimes. She had all these emotions boiling up inside of her, but she was too timid to let them out aside from the occasional outburst. It wasn't healthy. He bit into his sandwich.
You're one to talk.
"Who said that?" asked Mike, his mouth still a bit full of lunch meat. "You playin' tricks on me Karri?" he smiled, waving a finger at the Psychic Pokemon. "That's not too nice." A light chuckle rumbled in his throat as he happily finished his meal. It was pretty good, enough to give his mood a bit of a boost. Simple things like a good sandwich always picked him up. He tossed the wrapper in the garbage and looked around. Mitsu had gone over to talk to Riza, and Keegan had showed up as well. The boy waved casually to his friend and decided this place was getting a bit too crowded. As if on cue the Pokemon Center bell rang and Nurse Joy came out and gave him back Felsic. "Thank you." he said quietly, clipping the ball back to its respective spot on his backpack strap. Mike looked over at the PC in the corner, wondering just one more time if he should swap out one of his Pokemon for someone else. After mulling it over for a few moments, he figured he was in good enough shape.
It was then that he noticed Riza's question. "Hm? Oh yeah I'm enjoying myself enough. It's nice to relax, battling sometimes takes a bit out of you, ya know?" He smiled, letting out a sigh. "Alright, I'm out guys," Mike said as he made his way to the doors. "I'll be at the beach." He gave an inviting look to Riza in case she wanted company later. All this high school s**t made him feel like laying down. "Nitro has the right idea."

Even through the pouring rain Kasiya could recognize the light of evolution, and as she looked on little Poliwag began his transformation. Very soon, a tougher-looking Poliwhirl was standing in his place, and Kasiya smiled, the rain continuing to soak her from head to toe. Her hair was thoroughly wet and she felt a slight shiver creep over her body. She shoved her rain-soaked bangs from her eyes, glancing over to see if Shocker and Nova were still within her sights. Shocker was sitting in the sand, looking positively irked while Nova sat right beside her, calmly watching stray embers drift up from her tail-flame. Meanwhile, Adamantine stood in the same place, occasionally shifting on her feet as the rain continued to pour down on her. She'd seen Poliwag's evolution, although it did nothing to change her own uneasiness about her own path in life, she couldn't help but feel a little bit jealous. Thank goodness the rain dripping down all over her body masked the few tears that had escaped the corners of her eyes, and she hastily folded her arms and shook her head. "Lar," she grumbled, waiting to see if Crenu and Poliwhirl wanted to continue the battle or if they were done.
Kasiya studied her own Pokemon for a moment, wondering the same thing that Ada was. Did Crenu want to continue, after Poliwag - that is, Poliwhirl had taken such a hit from Ada's unexpected Rock Slide? She knew from experience that evolution was often enough to wipe out a Pokemon's energy just like that. She smiled over at the taller blonde boy, resisting the urge to run over and congratulate him on his Pokemon's evolution. She figured he wasn't the type to really appreciate stuff like that and she simply continued to stand in the same spot, lightly poking at the rivulets of water that were running down her sides of her body. What I wouldn't give for a nice Sunny Day right about now, she thought, tilting her head back and grinning up at the sky. "So what now?" she called out, hoping her voice could be heard over the pounding rain. "You guys wanna continue or just stop for now?" Truth be told, she was having a lot of fun hanging out with Crenu, as he was much different from most of the people she knew. Then again, she found herself missing Keegan's company, and she inwardly teased herself for it, as it had become a reoccurring thing lately. Either way though, she was fine with whatever happened next.
=-=-=-=-= "That's fine with me, I love Italian food," Jaeshan said, but it was mostly to himself. It had been a long time since he had really good, authentic Italian food and he was already going over the possible menu items in his mind, finding it better than standing around and feeling awkward around all of these new people. He always felt weird around people he didn't really know, and he really didn't know any of these people, the only exception being Robin but he'd only met her last night and he didn't think she'd consider him a friend, not yet anyways. He found it to be quite cute, however, how much Luffy seemed to like this 'Ampersand' person, although he noticed that Ann seemed to be particularly interested in the two. He decided against saying anything, figuring that maybe she'd just never seen an Aipom before and instead he stuck his hands in his pockets, idly wondering how close Combusken and Shelgon were to reaching their final evolutions.
Ann grinned at Ampersand before smacking him lightly on the back. "My favourite," she laughed. "Ampy, did you really remember that after all this time or did you just get lucky?" With the light and airy tone of her voice it was hard to tell if she was joking around or not. As they walked, she continued to study Luffy, still completely astounded that the Aipom could remain awake in his presence. In all her time not a single Pokemon she owned, even ones immune to sleep effects couldn't stop themselves from just passing out, although as soon as he moved away they would spring back awake like nothing had happened. She turned to look at the two younger trainers and smiled at them. "How long have you two been trainers?" she asked, hoping to learn more about Robin and Jaeshan, though she was mostly just curious. She always did like making new friends.

Seeing that they all agreed Ampersand just grinned back at them before he paused looking over at Jaeshan for a second before he put a hand over his face. "Ok, I know you have been thinking this, everyone does, yes Ampersand is my real name. Please no jokes." He cast a glance at 'Ann' as he said this before he went on. "Well since this is all good how about we head inside and get a table?" He more said then asked as he walked in the building Luffy on his shoulder happily perched and wide awake.
Hearing that Jaeshan liked Italian food Robin figured he had to know something about it. If she didn't know anything on the menu, a high probability, she could just ask him! However as she thought that she blushed slightly, she didn't want to bug him with her stupid questions. Glancing over at him Robin wished she had Luffy in her arms so she could at least be holding them and not doing something stupid with her arms. "Um, do you think you could help me out with the menu? I don't know what anything is, that is if I need it and it isn't to much of a problem."
~~~~~~~~~~~
Aidan watched Skorupi shake off the hit and give a small glare at the small Pacharisu. Seeing that he was fine, if a little hurt Aidan decided it was time to make a move, it wasn't good to just take attacks. "Skorupi use your Confuse Ray on her Pacharisu." Aidan ordered as he stood calmly on his side of the field.
"What! Skorupi doesn't learn Confuse Ray!" Shirley cried as she watched Skorupi aim a light beam and score a direct, if not damaging hit on Pacharisu. Upon being hit with the attack the small electric pokemon started to stumble around slightly.
"My Skorupi was breed in this town, he has known Confuse Ray since the day he was hatched." It was true, he was breed in this town, in fact him knowing Confuse Ray was the reason that Aidan even had him as a partner. The customer had no been happy with that being the move it had inherited and had demanded a new one. With no one else for him to go to, and Aidan in the hospital from his recent attack the town had decided to give him to him.
Keegan's mind was still buzzing with surprise and curiosity over what just happened, although a puzzled look came over his face when Mitsu suddenly closed her eyes, almost as though she'd fainted, right then and there. He reached out quickly with his other arm to help steady her. "Mitsu..?" he asked, a bit concerned, but it faded when her eyes opened and small bit of colour returned to her cheeks. "Heh, let me help you," he said, slowly helping her until she was safely seated on the ground with her back to the wall. "I wouldn't go so far as to call you a, well, freak," he shrugged, quite aware that she was uncomfortable with the term. He motioned towards his arm, which was looking better than ever, and he shrugged before smiling at the purple-haired girl before continuing. "A special girl with healing powers." Okay, yeah, that was possibly one of the lamest things he'd ever said, but anyone who could channel their energy to do something as amazing as heal burn scars was definitely special in his book.
Now that he thought about it Mitsu had been one of the first people he'd met and actually talked to after really leaving Lavaridge for the first time. It had been shortly after he'd met Themis, and he smiled inwardly at the memory. He glanced back his arm again in disbelief, staring at it as though the burns would somehow magically reappear. It wasn't the appearance of the limb that ever bothered him though, it had been the pain, and now, with it suddenly gone, just like that, the sudden-pain free feeling was very overwhelming, like the deafening silence after a heavy metal concert. Realizing that he'd zoned out a bit he snapped back to attention and looked at Mitsu again. "Anyway... thanks, for that," he said a bit awkwardly, the concept of thanking people still somewhat foreign to him. "It means a lot, that you'd do this for me," he added, trying to fight the slight blush that was creeping into his cheeks.
Mitsu uttered a quick thank you as Keegan helped her into a sitting position. It felt a lot better than standing and she could feel the renewing enegry within herself. She couldn't help but smile a bit as he spoke. She couldn't remember the last time anyone had called her special or if anyone ever had. it was nice to hear those words, even if the two hadn't really been extremely great friends or anything.
Mitsu eyed the red-head, his blushing completely a foreign idea to her at the moment. He never struck her as the type to blush in the least. She mentally shrugged not wanting to read into it too deeply. "You're welcome Keegan. It's the least I could do, heck I probably owe it to you anyways," she replied. And indeed she almost felt as if she has just paid off a debt. And yeah just because she had healed his arm didn't make burning in the first place right or anything, but it had to have some merit right? Either way she was feeling a lot better than before. Replenishing energy certainly wasn't too slow and for that she was grateful. "So. . .if you've got any questions I'll try and answer them. Though I gotta admit, I don't know much about it either," she replied looking up at the boy. She remained sitting it still felt better than standing at the moment, though she was quite sure she could manage that now. "If not, we can go back to the main room. I did kind of did drag you away in the middle of your lunch," she chuckled lightly.
Crenu watched as the clouds above their current location started to grow thinner and disperse as the effects of the Rain Dance were running closer to their expiration time. It still seemed a little to soon for the attack to fade, but Poliwags evolution probably disrupted the flow of energy that created them in the first place. Despite the fact that he was practically soaked to the bone at this point and that the sea breeze was going to cut through him like a knife until he dried off, Crenu was a little disappointed to see the rain thin out. His hair was matted down by the water and came down half past his eyes sutting his vision slightly, but he didn't care enough to do anything about it right now. He smirked as he watched his pokemon evolve into the second stage of his evolutionary cycle. Much larger than before Poliwhirl was sure to produce much more power and control than when he was a Poliwag. The will to test out this new strength was burning in his mind, but he would have to keep that surpressed for the moment. Poliwag's evolution into Poliwhirl didn't change the fact that he had taken an strong and unexpected attack from his opponent and his stamina must have been depleated after evolving. A closer look at Kasiya's Larvitar lead Crenu to continue to believe that she had not been in this fight from the start and really didn't want to go on. Not only that, but she seemed a tad upset for one reason or another especially now that Poliwag had evolved. Kasiya's questioned brought Crenu back from his thoughts, it seemed that she was thinking in a similar fashion. "Well, I've got other pokemon that wouldn't mind battling if you're still up for it, but either way I'm pulling Poliwhirl out." He directed his attention to his Poliwhirl, who was still facing his opponenet as if waiting to attack. "I admire your new foudn drive Poliwhirl, but you're ou-" Before Crenu could finish his sentence he had jumped back a foot or two barely dodging a powerfull barrage of glowing bubbles that pelted the sand and sent it in every direction. Poliwhirl was holding an arm out with an open palm aimed at Crenu's feet, slightly turned more towards his trainer but still facing Kasiya's Larvitar. Poliwhirl appeared to be laughing lightly, clearly amused by his actions as he trained his other arm on the Larvitar. A glowing sphear of energy started to gather in his palm, but before he could release what was potentially an Ice Beam at Kasiya's Larvitar a red light washed over Poliwhirl and pulled him back into his pokeball. "....Hmm...he hasn't acted like this since the day he was caught. Looks like the little squirt grew some back bone after all." Crenu spoke mainly to himself as he grinned widely, undetered by the fact that his pokemon had just attacked him. Instead the thought seemed to excite him as his grin grew a little sinister in nature.
"Urg! Well fine! Just because you aren't cheating doesn't mean you are going to win if you use that special move! Pachirisu use your Quick Attack!" She ordered the pout on her face turning into a grin. The small electric squirrel stumbled a bit before dashing forward right at Skorupi apparently not confused enough to hurt itself or not attack. It did turn out though that it was confused enough to dash right by a bewildered Skorupi. The small poison bug type pokemon blinked in confusion, it had never seen an attack that fast, he was just glad that it had missed him! "Oh drat! Come on Pachirisu! Let's not get discouraged!"
"Skorupi use Acupressure." Aidan ordered not showing that he was phased at all due to the speed, ok sure he had never seen a pokemon move that fast before. Still that didn't mean that he could let it throw him off. Acupressure was a somewhat risky move since you never knew what would get boosted. Aidan watched carefully as Skorupi's tail pressed down rapidly on various points on his body giving what looked like a very fast acupuncture session. When he finished his body glowed a bright read showing that his attack had been raised, well Aidan assumed it was attack, most pokemon glowed red after there attack had been boosted. "Good job Skorupi." He was lucky to get attack, instead of special attack or something that wouldn't help him at all.
"Pachirisu why don't you go in for another Quick Attack!" Shirley ordered. The Pachirisu who was behind Skorupi stumbled around some as it tried to get its baring for another attack. Unfortunately for it confusion was a pain and it just tripped and landed on its face. "Oh no Pachirisu!"
"Skorupi use your Bite attack!" Aidan wanted to take advantage of this fall and this was the perfect chance to. Skorupi spun around and charged forward at the fallen Pachirisu and opening his mouth he snapped his jaw shut. It was a direct hit, while not a critical hit the boosted attack power did its job and made the all ready pretty strong attack even stronger. His attack done Skorupi let go and scuttled back his short legs making clicking sounds as they hit the ground.
The poor Pachirisu seemed to be a having a hard time understanding where that attack had come from. It's confused mind hadn't really had time to process the image of its attack so it didn't understand why its side suddenly hurt. "Come on Pachirisu! We can still win this! Let's go for another Spark attack!" This time the small electric squirrel seemed to have clarity behind its eyes and the small pouches on its cheeks sparked before it dashed forward and reaching forward it pressed it's paw onto Skorupi letting out a strong electric shock to the poor pokemon.
The boy dug his foot into the dirt. Lairon was acting strange in terms of his battle style. He'd never seen him attack on his hind legs before. Not that this was a bad thing, because it seemed that his attacks were packing a lot more punch. Kilik groaned as the Golem slowly stood back up. "Okay, okay. He's got a little more dexterity than I gave him credit for. But Lairon's still got a lot left in him!"
Joe laughed, pulling a match from his pocket and striking it upon a tree to light it. He put the flame to his pipe and puffed a bit. "My boy, don't get too excited. You see, I can still win this with that simple move." He puffed small rings of smoke from his pipe. "It won't take much for me to put this battle back in my favor." Golem stood strong, ready to cause as much havoc as he could. "But I'll be lenient! Attack with Magnitude!"
Kilik blinked. Magnitude was a move similar to Earthquake, but much weaker depending on how high it measured on the Richter scale. Anything below 9 was worthless, but above that could spell trouble for his Lairon. The steel beast stood ready to take the attack. Surely whatever that Golem dished out wouldn't hurt him too badly. He suddenly felt the ground beneath him shaking. He fell through the cracks in the earth, roaring in pain as the fissures opened and closed against his body. Get out of there, Lairon...c'mon... he thought hard, slamming his eyes shut. For a moment, he saw through his Lairon's eyes. It was a frightening sight; the sun ever close but still so far away, and giant rocks crashing against him. When Kilik opened his eyes, he could see the hole in the ground as a giant number: A seven.
"Not quite as powerful as I'd hoped, but certainly strong enough to put a dent in your Lairon's armor, son!" He laughed loudly again. Golem, panting a bit, clenched his rocky fists and laughed as well. Age was catching up on the boulder, but that wouldn't stop him. A dent was right. Lairon slowly pulled himself from the crevice and tried to catch his breath. That scoundrel. That Golem was going to pay for this, that's for sure.
"Skorupi counter with your Poison Sting." Aidan could tell that Skorupi was done with and hoped that he could get this last attack in before passing out. It seemed like Aidan lucked out, at the last moment Skorupi lashed out with his tail landing a stinging blow on the Pachirisu before passing out. Very pleased his pokemon had done this well, against a pokemon they had never faced off before either he recalled him into his pokeball. "Thank you very much for your efforts Skorupi." Shrinking his pokeball he placed him back behind his jacket and pulled Gibles out. Just as he released the feisty pokemon he noticed that Shirley was calling back her Pachirisu, it seems like it had been a double K.O. Aidan couldn't believe his luck.
"All right lets go Buneary!" Out of a white pokeball a small bunny like pokemon came out onto the field. It hoped around a few times on the field before batting its eyelashes at Gible. It seemed like the Buneary didn't know that Gible was a female as well, though Aidan didn't blame it, Gibles battle scared body was not the most feminine, her attitude wasn't very girlie either. "All right Buneary lets start this off with your Pound attack!" The small fluffy pokemon jumped around a few times doing a few twirls before giving a mighty leap forward and smashing its body down right next to Gible in a very near miss.
Gible herself was not impressed and without waiting for her trainers order opened her mouth and sand started pouring out of it starting a mighty sand storm. Aidan hated this attack, it messed up the town with its blistering winds and stinging sand. Aidan was sure that after another quick trip to Nurse Joy he would be cleaning the town up to the best of his ability. He tossed the idea of having his pokemon help him out, they were the ones who made most of the mess anyway.
"Eww! My clothes are gunna get so dirty!" Shirley complained as she covered her eyes to help keep the stinging sand out. It seemed like Buneary didn't like this very much as well and was hopping away from where Gible was starting to close her mouth and was glaring at her. The bunny pokemon was making a futile attempt in cleaning its fur from the sand. After a moment it gave up and looked around trying to locate the now gone Gible.
Aidan often times forgot about Gibles Sand Veil ability and he couldn't help but be a bit impressed with her as she blended in seamlessly with the whirling sands. "All right Gible use your Dragon Rage." Somewhere from the vortex of sand a sudden burst of blue flames came out and Gible crashed right into the Buneary before disappearing again like some sort of sand ninja.
"Oh I am sick of this! Buneary lets use Foresight!" Shirley didn't seem to be all that stupid and just like that the advantage that the sandstorm gave them was gone. While it still did some damage to Buneary its accuracy was just fine now. "All right that's more like it! Let's show them your pound attack again!" Just like that Buneary was back in the air and smashing into Gible sending her down to the ground.
When Poliwhirl had started to prepare his Ice Beam to fire at Adamantine, the Larvitar had instantly taken up a defensive stance - which came as a surprise to Kasiya - and a rather strange, dark aura gathered around the Rock Skin Pokemon as she stood tall, ready to defend herself against the tadpole's attack. When Poliwhirl vanished back into his Pokeball at Crenu's command, only then did the Larvitar relax, the dark, shadowy aura surrounding her fading away as fast as it had flared up. She folded her arms across her chest and continued to look on, a little relieved that she wouldn't be fighting the Water-type. She may still have been young but she knew a severe weakness when she saw it, and even being as strong as she was she wasn't sure she could have defeated him.
Kasiya didn't say anything at Poliwhirl's attack on Crenu, mainly because she didn't feel it to be her place to say anything. Besides that, she had three faint claw marks on her face from her first encounter with Seto long ago to prove that Pokemon definitely had minds of their own, as well as the long, now mostly-healed pink scar down her left side from Casimir's brutal attack when she had captured him. It stood out against her relatively pale skin but so far no one had really asked about it, which she was glad for. Then again only Keegan and Mitsu really knew about how she'd gotten the wound in the first place. "We can keep going too," she said, nodding. "But only if you want to, Ada," she added, smiling at the Pokemon. Ada shrugged but nodded. She may not have wanted to fight, but she would still fight for Kasiya if she asked her to.
Meanwhile on the sidelines Shocker was watching the 'fight' through very bored eyes, wishing with all her might that she could trade places with Ada. She could feel herself practically bursting with energy and all she wanted to do was be out there, showing that boy just what Kasiya's Pokemon were truly capable of. All she could think of as she watched the rain pour down was how unerringly her fearsome Thunder could have struck that tadpole down... however her thoughts were very abruptly interrupted as a minor yet stinging pain shot through her right side - it seemed that watching the two Pokemon battling had sparked Nova into wanting to try it for herself, and she'd brought her two 'hands' up to her mouth and was giggling excitedly over her surprise attack against the Raichu. The mouse frowned and swiped her paw at the Charmander more as a reflex than an actual attack but the lizard hopped back, still laughing. Grumbling Shocker had to restrain herself from shocking the baby into oblivion, but if Nova wanted to practice then it was fine with her - she would try to evade while Nova attacked with her one and only attack - Scratch.
=-=-=-=-= Jaeshan raised an eyebrow at Ampersand's remark and shrugged, doubting that the man had given himself the name. "I won't make fun, I promise," he said honestly, shrugging again. After all he was being treated to lunch by Ampersand; he thought it to be highly improper to insult him. When Robin spoke again he smiled at her. "Don't worry, I know the good stuff, and the things you should stay away from," he said with a smile. He really didn't know what kind of food would be served to them, as most places had specials and things from day to day, plus it was also the day of the party so it was hard to say. They entered the restaurant and Jaeshan looked around. It looked like a good place and he followed after Ampersand and Ann, waiting for them to pick a table. Once they did he pulled out one of the chairs and beckoned for Robin to sit down. His father had taught him well on how to be a proper gentleman and he prided himself on this fact.
'Ann' remained quiet upon entering the restaurant and she too looked around, taking in the ambiance of the place before she followed after Ampersand and found a place to sit down. She chuckled lightly at Jaeshan's actions and cast an amused glance over at Ampersand. "And they say chivalry is dead," she said, picking up a fork from the table and turning it over in her fingertips.
