Leslie Willis Heh. The boss likes to put a glossy sheen on things. he neglects to mention that empires in Hyborea are carved out of the bodies of the fallen. And Conan was good at carving.
As is the case with any story, I'm sure your friend sees beyond the superficialities and his heart is deep in admiration of the underlaying ideals. Not the ugly... dead... thingies...
