Kuro woke, her body drained. She smiled when she saw that K was no longer there. She picked up the flower and placed it in her hair.

"hmm. . .it must'av worked." She decided to rest for awhile, knowing that it would take some time before she could use her strength.

Irvine was lying out beside the river near the cave. His coat lay out beside him along with his boots. He was wet but his hair was half wet, half dry as he had just been swimming and was now drying off. His gray eyes peered upwards through the canopy of the trees. Requiem and Nightmare laid in their sheathes not but two inches away from Irvine's right hand. He had his hands behind his head but if anything were to happen, he could reach for his swords in the blink of an eye. He was free from Heswina's control. Now his plan's could be put into action. But at what price? The price of a new life? Irvine sighed. He'd never be a father to Heswina's child. He though about it a moment longer then shrugged and smirked. It didn't matter. Irvine had one drive to live right now. End Xol's life. Now he could actually focus on that goal. No more distractions.

"Next time...it ends. For good."

Kuro opened her eyes once again, she hadn't realized how long she had slept. Her body was weak, very weak. She wondered if purifying K had affected her somehow. She flinched, her hands were burnt badly. She whispered some soft words and a pink light shone from her hands, when it disapated they were healed, no sign of injuries. She smiled with satisfaction.

Kuro walked silently through the forest, not stopping until she came to a stream. She took off her boots and let her feet in the water, sighing as she did so. It had been awhile since she had seen or smelt anyone, not that it was a bad thing. She took off the belt that held her sword and the clip that held an oldfashioned hand gun. The her bow and arrows came off, and finally a few throwing knives. All were easy access if she were to be disturbed.

Irvine listened to the running stream of the water as he trained. He was doing sit-ups at the moment and was currently on number 250. Somthing had been sparked inside of Irvine and he had the sudden urge to train and grow stronger. He had a feeling he'd need to be at the peak of his game when he fought Xol. He was training under an old rowan tree which provided some nice shade as he trained. After another 50 sit-ups he began to work on push-ups. He hummed an old song to himself as he did. After he couldn't remember the rest, he just listened to the streaming water and cleared his thoughts. Cold sweat fell down in beads down the side of his face as he continued his push-ups.

After about 150 push-ups, Irvine stopped and got to his feet. He took off his jacket and his shirt as well as his boots and set them next to each other, beside the stream. When he was topless as well as shoeless, he continued to train by shadow boxing and kicking. He would do this for about 30 minutes. Irvine's moves were fluid like liquid, yet strong as steel whenever he actually struck out. He made two quick jabs at the air, moving from side to side in a rythemic pattern as he did. He did a spin kick then followed up with three punches to the gut and a low sweep kick. Irvine did a back handspring but spaced his legs apart so if there had been anyone there, he would have kicked them in the jaw with both his feet. He then just started on a variation of kicks. High kicks, low kicks, jump kicks, spin kicks, ax kicks and a few others. Beads of sweat flew off his hot face whenever he moved and soon his hair was matted down to his face. Irvine continued on in silence.

Heswina was sitting, cross legged, in the tree above Irvine. She watched him with idle interest. A thought came to mind. What was her child going to look like? She had already determined that she was pregnate, but only needed to wait until the child was born. But was it going to be a boy or a girl? Was he going to be strong and determined like his father? Or sly and crafty like his mother? Or will she be focused and driven like only Irvine could provide? Perhaps beautiful and seductive as her mother? No, she had already made up her mind. Should she have a daughter she would not let her turn out like she did. If the child was a boy, she would not let his father's mission interfere with her son's lively hood.

When his shadow boxing was over, he walked over to the stream and got in. The stream came up to his waist and it felt so good to be in the coolness of the stream. He dived under, soaking his entire body. When he surfaced he gasped for breath. He shook his head, letting water fly from his wet hair. He wasn't very tired, though this training had grown bored for him. He wanted real action. It had been awhile since he'd seen a real fight with real people. His last one with Mastema's cannon didn't count because it wasn't a real person. He wanted to draw some blood. Irvine sighed and climbed out of the stream. He shook himself off and grabbed his shirt. He threw it on over his head then grasped his coat. He slid it on and then slipped on his boots. He turned towards the forest and started for it.

"Perhaps I can find a fight at the BC..."

With his destination set for once, Irvine headed towards the BC dojo, looking for a fight.

She watched Irvine dive into the stream. Would the child develop the phsyical strength of Irvine? Or the mental strength of herself? Would the child have the working of the One Power crafted into it's body? What of Irvine's little...past...with the underworld? Is the child tainted with some damned magic? Her cuts thought short as a new one came. Is this normal? For a woman to have these thoughts...was it normal?

Irvine stopped and turned towards the tree where Heswina was. He must've been too focused in his training to see her. He shrugged to himself and sighed slightly. He called out to the woman.

"What is it you want? Come to stalk me now, have you?"

"To a degree..." She paused a long moment, looking Irvine over. Would the child look like Irvine or herself? "I'm just thinking is all...nothing for you to worry about. I am a woman of my word, you are safe from my mental magics. So don't worry." She eyed him thoughtfully. Perhaps his powerful chin with her blue eyes? Blond hair...no, it would be black like the father's with dark eyes. She could change that...but why would she want to? She wanted a natural child.

"And what is it, pray tell, that your thinking about? Or is that privlaged information?"

Irvine looked up at her. He had no feelings for the woman of two eves ago. Nor of the child. Though...after his mission was accomplished...would he atleast be able to see the small babe? Or would he be denied access to his very own child? He shrugged these thoughts off before Heswina could catch them for her self. Though she had set him free from her, he still did not trust her or the fact that she could read minds at her whim.

"You can hear the information, should you choose. It is, after all, about the child...your child. I am simply thinking about it. What is it going to look like? Will it have magic like me or strength like you? Will it be a boy or a girl? Just...thinking." She didn't bother reading his mind, she didn't want to. She even went so far as to let her own mind wander on thoughts of the baby again. How long will it take? Will I be a good mother? How will I manage without the father to take care of the child when I cannot?

Irvine looked away. He definitely wasn't "father material" and he knew he couldn't become a good father. Though, after his mission, he would try and atleast help a little bit in the raising of the child. It was his after all.

"Heswina...you know what I must do. Xol must be slain. I won't rest until I've seen him trapped in the Abyss of Hell. Though, after my mission, I would like to help atleast a little bit in the raising of the child. I'm not an ideal father, but I'd like to atleast see the kid and perhaps meet him...or her."
