Whirlwind laughed. "What? Are they afraid you'll trip and break your nose? I mean, your handsome, but your not THAT handsome." A little joke there, why? She was in good spirits mostly. She smiled. "But I kid, I doubt your's is the type of crew to do something for beauty." She tapped the staffon her shoulder. "I'll help, if I am wanted."

Indeed, in trouble. He didn't mention that her methods of defense were scare tactics. He was supposed to her body guard...but in an effort to keep two souls where they are supposed to be, she had sent him away.

I suggest you leave imidiatly. One who has control over the Oracle.... he didn't think he needed to finish his sentence.

Well no one needed to tell Kieran twice that Malik didn't take that well at all. He hadn't expected to and frankly if he had, Kieran would be worried. Though needless to say it would be interesting to see how things would go, if someone would jump to conclusions and accusations or not. Though his interest turned to the subject of talk...necromancy had always been foreign to him.

Serino was...confused to say the least. What was this? He was being babysat or something? All he knew was that there was a slave girl now in the stables, particularly focused on him in general and in the doorway...was that meaning he couldn't leave? Pity. Though he seemed to really care less...he was busy chomping on some hay idly and messing with Nightmare and Nerian alternately.

Piper was sitting at the dinning room table again, studying her little map in accordance with a bigger one. Well why that spot in general? In any race there was a start and a finish and she saw no point to where he placed this mark or where a plausible end was...unless this was some crazy idea going on in his head. But half of her was wary as to the whole thing in general...

"the dead hate the living. ANd thigns are a tad different on this plan, Mr. D'vinn. For every body that is raised improperly dead, there is a life that is unproperly slain. The dead live and living die. It's...a two bladed sword that works in the deads favor. They want the living to die, after all." He looked at Alaran, knwoing Malik would have to find his own transportation to the Acedemy. "Yes, a trip there would prove benificial."

Alaran sneered/ Your blade's gift is diluted. It does not hold the full effects of dragon fire. She didn't mention that she didn't use fire though, just in case D'vinn tried taking a swipe at her. Course, if she did, then maybe she'd have an excuse to kill the man.

"Oh, you are welcome to come, unless you would rather have Aven try to entice your with his centaur's charm, or Orko use charms on you to have you with your concent, without your concent." Tarathiel smiled, "No, not beauty. I am not that pretty... But it does have a lot to do with who I am. Obviously, I am the captain, and my safety comes first.... Perhaps, though, it goes deeper than that." Tarathiel seemed to begin to ignore Warhammer and Lavi, and tried to convey something deeper and more menacing than any would dare to utter, yet alone mention in thoughts.

"We shall go as soon as we are ready." Warhammer bowed. "My Captain does enjoy these break neck adventures and plunging into the heart of the beast for the sake of the thrill. He is also loyal to any he calls... special, to the ends of his life." Warhammer snorted.

A littel twitch under her eyes. "If the centaur tries, I'm clubbing him. And I'd like to see Orko try. Because I'd club him too." She shook her staff, the bells jungled in an oddly threatening way. "I'm not about to let THAT happen again...wizard or no." She rolled her eyes. "Not that pretty. Course your not." She nodded, smirking. "Like I said, your handsome." She said it just to poke at him. Once in a while she wondered what would ruffle those feathers.

She laughed, a thing that came easier now that she had settled a few issues. "Special. Lucky me. AS long as I get to partake in the thrill, then I don't much care what he thinks of me."

Tanundra was grwoing impatient. You are ready. go!

"Of course it doesn't. but he holds so many others. psionics, vampirism, strength, agility, knowledge. souls. and now, dragonfire. might not be the most potent forms...but they are a deadly combination when merged to my own natural skill. Malvolence and I are a very close team, dragonkin."

A small smile.

"My father made him, fused him with Cymarron's gift by vampiric soul entrapped. he lets me know all he does, gives me all the gifts he takes..and all he asks for in return to to be fed."

Nevermind the highly addictive nature of the weapon itself and it feeding off it's wielder.

"Though I'm sure your Academy won't be too thrilled at a drow shadowknight gracing it's door..is there a time you want to arrange, maybe a few days, so you can prepare your students for the arrival of a drow on a nightmare?"

Tarathiel waited a few moments, then the word came. "They readied a back door for us. Apparently this fiend is clever enough to avoid detection, and to emplace blocks to teleportations. But, there is always the easiest way to get there. Gating." Tarathiel laughed, "We connect this spot with the other by means of wizard propaganda, and then we reach our destination within one step, but being the causious fellow I am, we shall gate a few hundred yards away from the goal."

Warhammer fround. He didn't liek this proposal, but it was the most effiecnt use of time, and time meant everything in a resque mission. "Then let us hurry." He walked pasted Tarathiel and stood imbetween the drow and the elf. "Orko, open the gate."

At the end of the sentance, the gate flun open. The astrial planes on either side, and the distant destination, which kept changing, a head. Warhammer barged through and Tarathiel leaped about, Lavi stood still and watched them go. He knew that he could not follow, so he returned to the ship, the only way he knew how. He lept into the air, and flew away. Once over the sea, he dove in, and began his systematic search for the markings that would show him were the ship was.

Kieran had backed off at this point, wandering his way back to the dinign room as Malik went about making final arrangements. He himself took to watching Piper again where she sat, concentrating on her task at had. "He's none too happy."

She jumped a little at his voice and looked over her shoulder and over the back of her chair at him, slightly glareing. "What did you tell him? Are you getting him all upset?"

He shook his head. "No, I'm not as you put it, getting him all upset. I'm just warning you. Typical drow he may not be, but drow none the less." A pivot on his heel to walk away then, making his way upstairs to his room, he had things to write down.

"You don't know the half of it. Meddlng elf..." Great...just what she needed. Why did he have to go and tell Malik before she got to tell him? Over protective father...

One look into the gate, the other two plunging into it...a moment's hesitation before she too followed Tarathiel and Warhammer through the gate, with perhaps a little less enthusiasm as Warrhamer, a little less flare thatn Tarathiel. Human blood, that's what it did to you. Inside was a whole differnet story.

"Spookey." Indeed it was. Aella had difficulty picking out one detail from another, and didn't think that this place was meant for her eyes tp percieve properly. They ran for their destination, which seemed to take forever and no time at all. She was therefore, the last to reach the other end.

The other side of the gate. A dank room, reaking of filth and decat, the walls wet with slimey city sin. They stood in a narrow hallway, at the end of which was dead, but six doors stood silent and creepy looking.

Aella looked at the palce wiht distain. Poor Oracle...

Behind those doors, an awefull moaning could be heard.

A lifted eyebrow. "Indeed." The Academy did not much encourage the use of enchnated devices, sow them as points of weakness. But he didn't relay that bit of information, did he? No, that wouldn't do.

"Perpare the students? No, they don't need to be pre-pared. We magi are always on our toes. But they will be more than intereste to see you." He smiled. "And your ngihtmare for that matter." Points of study, of course.

"But still, a fe days to get things in order." By which he emant hide the valuable things.

I don't want this one enar the Academy, Roarke

"We don't really have that much worth protecting, dear Alaran."

You mean besides your pride?

Tarathiel looked at the doors, and sighed. "If only we had the time to crawl threw them all..." He looked at the doors, and noded to Warhammer. All six flung open as Warhammer reached out for them. "Magical knock." Tarathiel offered as an explination. His scimitars came out, but he hesitated with his off hand, and replaced the blade and drew out his hand crossbow.

All sick doors were filled to brimming with the undead, who immidiatly descended apon the living. Living flesh, they hated it, and carved it at the same time. It was warm, it could feel, both pain and pelasure. They were angry at the living for having it, were mornign themselves for losing it. Therefore the best way to make the desire go away...kill everything.

A laughter droned out over the sea of dead, mocing bodies. "I've seeeeeeen you coooooming!" A long, high pitched drone.

"Age old question, can you kill the non-living? Never thought I'd be the one to find out." She smaked at two with her staff, the weapons natural strength slicing through them, spilling old blood and guts over the floor, over her feet. She gagged at the smell. But the severed bodies kept comming, sliced or no their parts kept moving. The were quickly surrounded.

She had her back up against Warhammers, Tarathiel to the left. Well, she couldn't say she wished for better comapny. "Do you think the Earth Mother can help us in this one, Warhammer?"

Within moments of the onslought, Warhammer reached for his weapon, and brought it across the undead with a fell swoop that knocked any near the party away. The force of the swoop was so great that all the undead within ten feet were pushed back by five.

Tarathiel replaced his crossbow and drew out his sword and held them alofly. HE looked at Warhammer and almost died from laughter. "Go ahead. Send them home."

Undead, though wonderful for the lack of food, had one major problem about existance. They could be destroyed by extreme cosecration of an area, or by the strong pressence of a divine through a holy symbol. The minotaur saw his hammer as a sign of the Earht Mother's power, which could channel the energies. In a few moments, the Hammer glowed with such intensity that the undead seemingly near the object disintigrated, and the rest attempted to flee.

Tarathiel counted the numbers as best he could, and decided he could use some back up. He waved a hand whiched showed that he wanted 'the expendables' which meant the non drow on board the ship. A few moments later, Ssrtl, Aven, Jin and Orko were present. "Warhammer can't keep this up all day, and it took alot of energy to do it once, and I would rather have this support when we find our targets, keep close together and cut through them." Tarathiel turned towards the flocks of undead. "They were already dead, they can't be that powerful, or they would still be alive." The drow laughed and charged with his minions. The holy shell diminished, enabling the counter charge.

A laugh again. "Expected, expected. I've seen it all!"

Tanundra would have understood why the trails underneath the city were so long and large, had he seen the number of dead here. Humans, elfes, haf-helfs, dwarves, even a few-hlaf dwarves...anything that had been able to set foot in Deep Water had been touched with death, all but the drwo of course. there didn't seem to be any here. A good sign? Let's hope so.

The wizards helped them charge through the mess, though not without injury to themselves. Nails raked at their flesh, leaving long and bloody runns in their skin, a few even made it through defenses long enough to bite at them. Aella recieved a rather nasty one on the should, a stubborn dwarf haing taken a rather tight hold of her. It took some force with the staff to bry him loose...and scatter his brains against the opposite wall. "Ugh..."

The dead threw themseves on the group without pause, except for the ones affect by Warhammer, and the other wizards did their jobs as well, using similar spells and whatnot.

Inside the third door on their left, the found a side chamber, eerie and brimming with flickering lights. The zombie-like creatures seemed to steer clear of the room...

Slicing and dancing through the army of undead, Tarathiel reached the door that buzzed with other life, he put his off hand weapon away, and signaled his wizards to blockade the other doors. Within moments, five fiery walls sprang to life infront of the other doors, leaving the undead cut off from reenforcements. The bitter battle continued for a brief moment. The counter attack was stoped short by five burning pillars, each wall of fire was penetrable, which meant one was able to climb through it, but the expierence was harsh on such people. The force of the fires crushed ones body, and the flames themselves mostly insinerated those who dare challenge their pressence. The walls would only last as long as the mages concentrated on them, or in the case of the three staff walls (Walls of Fire produced by a staff enchanted to cast that spell), about a half hour.

Tarathiel smiled as he watched foolish, if they could be called foolish for a lack of brain functions, undead crushed and incinerated by the intense flames. Mostly, the group was unharmed, a few minor injuries on each warrior. Warhammer held the blunt of the onset, so he felt the most stings. His fur was matted with aged and his own blood. He seemed unshaken, standing amongst the bile that used to be animated corpses. The other slaves were just as bloodied, and just as ready to face the onslaught again. Orko was displeased with the smell, and complained vocally about how uncomfortable it was, whilst Jin and Avan disagreed on the next move. Tarathiel took it all in for a few moments, cleaned off his blades, and walked into the room without telling anyone.
