As for the Hemlock..
I can see what it is they want to do with this one, but I don't see many people taking it. Terrify is nice, especially when paired with the Mindshock Pod, but it is perhaps a tad too expensive. Though it might be a small price to pay for making normally fearless mobs of orks run like hell because they are no longer fearless and need to re-roll that test should they succeed the first time round. Better yet, it might be the perfect anti-horde weapon or tactic to quickly clear an objective of low-Ld mobs (Conscripts, Grots, Cultists etc.) that are solely bought for that purpose nine out of ten times.
Personally I would have left the heavy D-Scythes off, given it a 20-30 point discount and promoted it solely as a support fighter that relies on its psychic trickery.

I think the heavy d-scythes should have been torrent instead of blast. I agree with that its best use is in anti-horde. It's also nice to have it just make enemies reroll a bunch of dice every time they lose 25%. Put in the right place it could cause a lot of fall backs.

The D-scythes are fine as is, they just do not belong on the Hemlock in my humble opinion. While nice in combination with Terrify, I feel that it works better using just its psychic power on low Leadership mobs camping objectives or focusing on smaller, more scary Fearless units that are about to pounce your lines. It won't earn its points back by a long shot, but it does have its uses. This might be something I'm willing to investigate later down the line. The new codex has intrigued me a great deal. surprised

celestin999 Does anyone have the supplementary codex yet? I'm giving it a pass myself, I'm not aware of what the actual contents are, for all we know it could be some rules, a lot of art and fluff, something I'm not sure I would be willing to pay full codex price for.

DarkElf27 Liberi Glacialis DarkElf27 Am I crazy, or are they charging the same amount for a 5-man repackaged box of Dire Avengers that they did for the 10-man squad before? stare Would not be surprised. It is GW. No one has a Wraithknight at my LGS, but I do have a Crimson Hunter. Anti-Air/Anti-Tank, but easy enough to blast out of the air with Skyfire weapons, Flyers, or just enough damn S 4-5 shots due to that 10 all around armor, and no access to vehicle upgrades. Man, do I want the new Holo-fields for them. Yeah, armor 10 all around and a ridiculously high points cost? I don't think I'll be getting one anytime soon. Hey, it still has the Flyer rules protecting it, making it that much harder for the massed fire route to work. Hydra Flak Cannons/Velocity Tracker-armed Battlesuits still jack it up, but Dark Reapers or Warp Spiders can cut them down around the same time. It's a very Eldar flyer. It does it's job, and that's it. celestin99: Heard what's in it. Mostly fluff, a smattering of rules. Also: Matt Ward got his grubby hands on the job of writing it. So I'll skip, thanks.

I picked up my ghost warriors box not too long ago and I have been working on it casually. I am about to hit the primer stage.
To recap, I have...
1 Wraithknight
2 Wraithlords (Two bright lances instead of a single twin linked bright lance? LOVE THAT CHANGE!)
15 Wraithguard/wraithblades. (Ten became Wraithguard with guns, and five became dual wielding sword Wraithblades. I heard from someone Wraithblades got errata to allow them to use a sword and a shield now, not just the axe and shield. Is this true?)
Obviously I need to pick up a spirit seer to make the list playable and wave serpents.
I just do not know what else to get. Striking scorpions are on my list, along with at least one flyer. Not sure what else though.

I have a set of Wraithguard/blades that I left in the box because I haven't decided how to kit them yet. xp You thought about pinning or magnetizing the weapons to swap them around, since there's 4 options available?

Pinning and magnetizing are for those who have the patience to magnetize and pin. I am one of those who takes forever to paint and likes to play right away. I am getting better about it though.

Just realized that the Scorpion's Claw is neither unwieldy nor a specialist weapon. Power Fist that strikes at I6? Hell yes!
