The seven tiny balls burned into Sunny and Storm was close behind them, lifting her up by her throat. Storm's breath stank of vanilla and other, unnamable spices to make a quite pleasing and intoxicating scent.
"Ah, the girlie can't fight for herself, can she? Has to let the good Admiral do it for her?"
She didn't so much as glance his way, but called her protective runes into light none the less. The red and blue glow from them, signifying nearby danger, was dimly seen from under her clothes.

"Don't... underestimat... me..." Sunny choked, quickly ripping a slit in her gown and grabbing a knife. In a fluid motion she imbedded the weapon in her attacker's arm, though her attack was weakened by her lack of air.

Storm smiled and used her frew hand to tear the clothe of her shirt widder, showing the light grey of her unblemished chainmail. The throwing knife hadn't even pierced the fine mesh of it. Storm mover her face closer to Sunny's, mocking her.
"Try harder, whore. Surely you did not think that a drow would be effected so easily as that?"

((I'm exhausted so I'm writing my way out of this one then going to bed. I'll be on tomorrow though and looking forward to picking back up!))
Sunny struggled to stay concious but all her exertion and the force that was being applied to her neck had her drained. She let out a weak gasp as her eyes rolled back into her head and she fainted.

Natasha removed her hand from the 'door' and the cut on her hand swiftly healed itself.
The blood on the handprint moved, swirling around itself until it became a heart.
The stone appeared to melt down leaving an arch in it's place.
She turned to Ranu.
"After you,"
She grinned.

Jay watched Sunny hit the ground. "Wow," she said, "I didn't even have to draw my pistol that time,"

((I hate that she had to faint, but if she hadn't I would've... I was dead tired AND I had morning shift today. xp ))
Sunny stirred and coughed harshly as her hand immediatley went to her neck to feel over the forming bruises. She was still light-headed and she moved sluggishly into a sitting position.
"K-kibo..." She rhasped, worried for his safety above her own. Her vision was swimming from the pain but she grabbed another knife from the holster at her thigh and held it tightly.

Aubry helped Sunny stand up.
"stay out of it Sunny, before you get hurt... they have magic that you couldn't even dream of, and Jay..." she said, piercing her with a cold stare. "those comments are not helping..."

Sunny looked at Aubry and gave a grateful smile. "Thank you..." She managed to say. She looked back over at Kibo as her vision began to clear up and frowned. "Isn't there anything to be done?" She asked, fearful for both combatants.

"well, i wouldn't, because, and im guessing here, that" she lowered her voice in vain attempt that Storm wouldn't hear, "that Storm is jealous of your relationship with Kibo..." she picked up Sunny's book and handed it to her. "so, your a book worm too?" Aubry smiled as she pulled out a smaller copy of the exact book.

Sunny nodded and gladly accepted her book. "To think all this started because I was in search of the library...." She stated, looking pensively over at her love interest and a woman scorned. "I just needed a new book..." She lamented.

"well... lots of things happen in a way that you didn't want and expect." Aubry's eyes looked glazed as she remembered how Arin died. "and i wouldn't suggest falling in love with anybody, it's just a slow suicide..."

Sunny looked at Aubry with shock. "Why would you say such a thing? I am quite aware of the heartache and hurt that accompanies matters of the heart but... Well surely when it is right... When it is right would it not be worth all sacrifice?" She asked with genuine puzzlement. She'd had a shining example of a worthwhile love in the form of her parents and aspired for a love much the same.

"i say such a thing because it is the truth... something that you wouldn't understand.... ever..." Aubry started to get off of the ship, and then paused, sighing slightly. she turned to Sunny. "if you really love Kibo, then good luck with that..." she turned away and walked to her own ship, the Crimson Curse

Sunny shifted uncomfortably where she stood, watching Aubry go. "Err... Thank you?" she managed uncertainly. She looked back at Kibo and chewed her bottom lip. "What secrets do you continue to keep from me?" She whispered to him. She looked down at her book sadly. "And will you still love me once you've learned all of mine?" she asked.
